Really happy with this purchase

The lodge was absolutely stunning, honestly looked even better in person than in the photos! The peaceful setting was perfect for a relaxing weekend. Only slight issue was the mattress on the double bed, could be comfier. Well definitely come back soon!

The kitchen could really do with extra utensils and honestly, the sofas weren't the most comfy. But the bed was lovely!

Really loved our stay here! The location was peaceful, close to the main sights and the hot tub was a lovely touch. Hosts were wonderful.

We stayed here in September for a week and overall, its a decent spot. The place is tucked away in a peaceful area about two miles from Bude, which we liked. The lodge itself is generally in good nick, but we did spot some wear and tear - like a chipped bath panel and a rusty patch on the dishwasher door - nothing too major though. Access involves climbing up 18 steps, some of which are gravel, others wooden or concrete. Didnt bother us, but older folks might find it tricky, so it could be worth mentioning in the details. The place is well-equipped and has pretty much everything youd need for a self-catering break. All in all, a solid choice if youre after a quiet getaway with the basics covered.

We had a really lovely stay at this place. The space was perfect and the welcome basket with local goodies was a nice touch - I even ended up buying more Cornish tea and coffee to take home. The sofas and beds were super comfy and it felt really private, almost hidden away from everything. The only minor thing was a few spiders when we arrived, but honestly, it's the countryside, so no big deal. Overall, wed definitely return!

The kitchen had everything we needed, from utensils to basic supplies, so cooking was a breeze. The bed was super comfy and the pillows actually helped us get a good nights sleep - rare on trips! Even though we only mentioned our little one in passing, there were toys for bath time and a bed ready for him, which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was a real highlight and our son loved chatting with the chickens and searching for them when we went out. Its so peaceful here and the staff made it easy to reach out if we needed anything. Wed definitely come back soon!

We recently spent a fantastic week at Ivyleaf Combe and honestly, we booked again before even leaving! The Woodpecker lodge was just perfect-super cosy and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. Having our two little ones with us, they loved the chickens and the on-site park; it kept them entertained for ages. We really appreciated the peaceful surroundings and the hot tub was a lovely treat after busy days. When the weather took a turn for the worse, the DVD collection at reception was a lifesaver - kept the kids happy. Sparkles the cat was such a charming addition, she made herself right at home and even snuggled into bed with us. Cant wait to come back next year!

Were really happy we picked this place! After my husband finished the London Marathon, it was the perfect retreat. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, the bed super comfy and the hot tub so relaxing. Plus, the peaceful area and quirky DVD selection made it even better. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Ivy Coombes Woodpecker Lodge. The setting is so peaceful and away from the hustle, perfect for a relaxing break. The private hot tub was a real treat, especially at night when the stars come out so clearly. The owners are genuinely friendly and quick to help if anything comes up - like when the TV had a glitch. The lodge felt really cosy, with thoughtful touches like the diffuser and throws. Great spot near the coast too!

We booked Pheasant but ended up in Squirrel, maybe a mix-up or a little upgrade. No worries at all. Squirrel lodge suited us perfectly and made our stay really enjoyable!

We had a fantastic time! The kids especially loved the hot tub and the adventure playground. The lodges were comfortable, well-equipped and nicely maintained, making our stay really relaxing. The location is convenient, not far from Budes centre. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making check-in and out a breeze. No worries about COVID-19 either. Overall, a really great holiday spot wed definitely return to!

Relaxing, enjoyable, just right

Weve been here four times now and its always a lovely experience. This time, we stayed in Robin Lodge instead of Pheasant, which was just as peaceful. The scenery is stunning and the chickens and black cat add such charm. Jools and Russ are always friendly and helpful.

This place is a real gem. The surroundings are quite and calm. The facilities are top notch, very clean and comfortable. It’s location is excellent for day trips with loads to do! The one thing I really loved was the library which includes the potential to borrow buckets and spades, body boards and use the washing machines. All really helpful for a break away. Loved it. Will be back! P

Excellent lodge, immaculate throughout, very well equipped for self catering, beds and bedding were lovely. Can’t recommend highly enough. The hot tub was our first priority and again of a very high standard. Extremely good value for money.

The only little moan I have is the bathroom door wouldn’t shut and twice walked in on another family member.

Fabulous location great scenery quiet and peaceful. Close to beaches and towns. Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Our week flew by and ots close to Bude with its lovely beaches and amenities.
Easy to get to the park as it's just off the main A39 coming into Bude.
Tranquil and peaceful.

What a fabulous holiday we have had in Bude! We were extremely fortunate to have beautiful weather and to have discovered such incredible beaches here, but we were also fortunate enough to have found this gem of a place. The lodge itself was incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a dvd and book library in the reception area. Beds were very comfortable and the hot tub perfect for an afternoon of relaxing after a day at the beach. The owners were extremely friendly and made the whole place feel like a home from home. We especially loved meeting the site chickens and resident cat! Thank you for an amazing week!

1st holiday in my life that I've not been ready to go home ... can't wait to return !

Another brilliant holiday

We absolutely loved our holiday here. The property was perfectly clean and the owners had thought of everything in terms of contents, even down to blankets. The location is perfect if you are happy to drive somewhere for walks but you can’t walk directly from the lodge. The owners really gave us a lot of privacy, however when we had some problems with the TV they did not respond. Would definitely visit again!!
