Visitor Reviews of Holywell Bay

We had an amazing week here! The caravans were really lovely-spacious, spotlessly clean and comfy. The location is perfect, just a short stroll to the beach and the on-site facilities are fantastic for kids. Theres a nice pub nearby serving decent, reasonably priced food which was handy. Wifi was a bit patchy since we were in a valley, but honestly, it didnt bother us much. The park wasnt crowded during October half term, which was a bonus. Evening entertainment wasnt top-notch, but we decided not to bother after a few nights. Overall, best park we've stayed at in Cornwall so far!

Caravan had damage; cleanliness could definitely be improved sadly.

The caravan was quite cramped and really basic, not ideal for a family of five. The table wobbled terribly and the microwave had a nasty, burnt smell. Honestly, it was not what we expected at all.

While the caravan was a bit snug for three adults, it did the job. The van was older but nicely refurbished, though its seen better days. Parking was tight, but honestly, these are minor compared to the lovely site and a fantastic holiday. We picked it because its dog-friendly, so no complaints there!

The place was really not clean and the furniture was falling apart. Not worth over a hundred quid.

The caravan was spotless, which we appreciated. However, two sofas had cushions that had gone flat and the flooring was a bit bowed. The tap fittings felt loose and we couldnt find any instructions for the heating system. Overall, it was okay but could definitely be improved.

The caravan was spotless and everything ran smoothly, which was great. The kitchen had just enough utensils and the oven was spotless. The bed had a super comfy memory foam mattress-probably one of the best weve ever slept on!

We stayed in this cosy caravan and loved the modern decor. The best part was definitely watching the sunset from the front room-such a peaceful view! Highly recommend for a relaxing stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the caravan, especially the stunning views and peaceful atmosphere. The balcony was a real highlight! It wasnt spotless - we found some leftover items under the bed - and the missing grill pan was a bit of a let-down, even after reporting it. Still, the space suited our family of five perfectly.

We had a fantastic time at this place! The site is perfect for families, nice and cosy without being too big. It's just a short walk to a really beautiful beach thats never busy and the waves are cracking. The club house was a highlight-super quick service and tasty food. Matt Chew, the DJ and entertainer, was genuinely lovely and hilarious-made our evenings so much fun. Were already planning to return next year for sure!

Just got back from a week at the park and honestly, theres definitely some good points but also a few downsides. The location is fantastic, super close to the beach, which was great for us. The site itself was clean and well-kept, so no complaints there. We really enjoyed the outdoor pool too, although booking was a bit of a pain since you only get a one-hour slot, which felt a tad limited. The staff at reception was lovely-really friendly and helpful, so big thumbs up for that. Now, the Mylor caravan was pretty basic, as expected, but we did notice a strong damp smell, especially of wet dog. We even brought air fresheners, but the smell lingered. The carpets and sofas honestly werent great, quite worn and stained. Another thing - there just arent enough hooks for towels, especially after showers. A few behind the doors would make life easier. Weve stayed at other sites with nicer, newer caravans and better value for money, so while we enjoyed our stay, it wasnt quite perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was cosy and well-kept. The only downside was the cleanliness, especially the toilets which had a strong stale smell and cobwebs everywhere. Still, it was a lovely stay!

Honestly, we had such a lovely time at this place! We were a bit wary because of some past bad experiences at other Park Dene resorts like Crimden Dene and White Cross Bay, but this one totally changed our minds. The staff were friendly and attentive, the cleanliness was spot on and the food was really good. Plus, being so close to Holywell Bay was a massive bonus. We cant wait to come back next year - its been a fantastic holiday all round!

We had a lovely stay overall. The caravan was spotless and had all we needed for a comfortable break. The kids loved the parks, which were really well maintained. The shop on-site was well stocked and the staff friendly, which was a bonus. The only downside was the swimming pool - it couldve been warmer, especially the childrens pool, which was quite cold, but luckily the weather was warm enough to enjoy the outdoor areas.

We loved the caravan's cleanliness and spaciousness. Minor maintenance was sorted quickly and staff were really friendly. The best part? The beach is just a ten-minute walk away-absolutely perfect!

We enjoyed our stay overall, the location is fantastic and the staff were genuinely friendly. The caravan had all the essentials, which was great. Only downside was the bathroom's strong smell of urine, even after cleaning with bleach. Still, we'd return!
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We stayed in the caravan expecting more since it claimed to sleep 8, but it was pretty underwhelming. Only one saucepan and no baking or carving knives meant cooking was tricky. Plus, the restaurant staff seemed disinterested, probably because it was their last days open. Such a shame.
