We stayed in this lovely quiet spot and loved the peaceful surroundings. The lodge itself has potential but definitely needs some updates - especially the beds, which were pretty uncomfortable and felt like theyd seen better days. We couldnt help but notice the curtains hanging off the rail and it seemed like there werent enough hooks to fix them properly. The kitchen wasnt very clean either, with the oven and utensils needing a good scrub. On the plus side, there were all the usual white goods like a washer, dryer, fridge and freezer and the heating worked well. It felt a bit like stepping back in time, so some modernising wouldnt go amiss!

We spent a lovely week at Primrose Lodge and really enjoyed it. The lodge had everything we needed and the weather was perfect for relaxing outdoors. We brought covers for the sofas since our dog is allowed on ours at home, so it was great to have peace of mind about the furniture. The tub was a real treat after busy days, making the stay extra special. Wed definitely go back!

We recently spent a week at Bluebell Lodge in Heartsease Lodges and honestly, it was just what we needed for a proper chill-out. The place is super peaceful, which was perfect for us; no Wi-Fi and hardly any phone signal, so we really managed to disconnect and unwind. If you're after a quiet escape, this spot hits the mark. The lodge itself had everything we required-though I did bring sofa covers since the leather sofas worried me a bit with our three-year-old springer spaniel. Better safe than sorry, right? The garden was a real highlight-fully enclosed, so Patch could roam freely without us stressing. He loved it! We took him for walks to the nearby lake (close to Tesco), fed the ducks and let him play in the green areas. Its great to find somewhere with such a secure outdoor space for dogs. The hot tub was another big plus; we used it almost daily after a bit of dog-walking and relaxing in the tub was just blissful. We did have a bit of a hiccup with the hob on the cooker; had to ask Mark how to operate it, but once he showed us, it was straightforward. Funny thing-I found the instruction manual in a drawer a few days later! The bed wasnt the comfiest, especially for someone with back issues like us, but we just used their duvet along with ours, which was fine. Plus, Im allergic to feathers, so I brought my own duvet, no worries. The lodge had all the essentials-washing machine, tumble dryer and a shiny new shower in the bathroom. Weather was perfect the entire stay, summer-like, so we managed to dry our clothes on the line, pegs provided, although I did bring my own. Everything was there for us, which made things so much easier. All in all, it was a fantastic break and wed definitely return. Patch was exhausted from all the garden fun-poor boy! Its a safe, peaceful spot, ideal for dogs and humans alike. We came home feeling totally relaxed and ready to plan our next visit!

The lodge was a lovely spot and we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The welcoming lady made us feel at home straight away. The only downside was the flies - they were quite persistent and there wasnt anything to keep them at bay. Still, overall, a great stay!

We had such a lovely stay! The lodge was cosy and the garden perfect for Tilly, our dog. Storm Alex and COVID couldnt ruin our honeymoon - the hot tub was absolutely fantastic, probably the best Ive ever used. The locations so peaceful and private; we actually didnt miss WiFi at all. Were already planning to come back for a week next time!

We managed to snag Primrose Lodge just a day before our trip after a sudden cancellation and honestly, it was a stroke of luck! From the moment we arrived, we knew it was exactly what we needed - a big garden for our little Italian greyhound, a massive hot tub and all the cosy comforts you could want. The photos online dont quite capture how lovely it really is. No internet or signal was no trouble for us; it was a perfect break from the chaos, especially before I start my new job as a mental health nurse next week. We spent our evenings soaking in the hot tub, gazing at the stars with all the lights off, which was so tranquil. The only sounds were the distant silence and the other lodge, which we couldnt hear at all. During the days, we headed to Elan Valley, just half an hour away and the views and walks were absolutely stunning. Were already planning to come back!
