I would say the only thing I would like to add would be that it would have a shop on site, but apart from that facilities, location, staff were fantastic. The dog friendly apartments starting to look a little bit worn out but that said they are dog friendly so dont expect a palace and the cleaning team could make just that little bit more of an effort because we did have to clean our apartment again once we went in.

The only thing we experienced where the very noisy floor boards upstairs which if you went up early you wake everybody. A couple of the mattress the springs coming through, making them uncomfortable. We had a lovely holiday and the children lived going to see the animals on site Swimming area lovely but water was very chilly especially for the younger children.

Lovely lodge, well equipped, had absolutely everything needed, big open space, location spot on, views of the sea too. A lick of paint and minor maintenance would make this perfect. Would 100% stay here again.

Great holiday park, good facilities. The 6 person signature lodge we stayed in needed a bit of TLC. The maintenance team were out very quickly when we had a problem with the outside lights and bath plug, issues were fixed very quickly.Very good service and good food at the Terrace restaurant, plenty of options for adults and children.Grounds of the park were very well maintained and attended to frequently.Overall a positive experience.

Very disappointed. Our cabin was old and with bare essentials, cleanliness was poor as had to clean various places before usage. Some acessories where not in cabin and had to be asked for. Pets bedding and welcome pack where not recieved. The newer built cabin was luxury to older cabin and considering we paid the same for both types of cabin was very disappinting

We thought the lodge was lovely. It was clean and very well proportioned and in a lovely quiet spot. A couple of black bags in the welcome pack would have been handy and we will bring a frying pan next time as one wasn't supplied. But everything else was perfect.

Property was dirty shabby and not maintained to a good enough level for a 2 1/2 thousand pound weeks holidayOver the last 10 years there appears to have been little investment and it showsThe decking was filthy dirty. The woodwork was peeling internally. The walls were all marked and the property overall shabby dirty. My wife spent three hours and £25 in the local shop doing our own cleaning. This will sadly be our last visit

We had a lovely stay at this cottage! The owners are genuinely warm and thoughtful, making us feel really welcome. The place itself is charming with its traditional half-timbered style and the shower is surprisingly powerful - a real treat after a day out. The bed was super comfy and the heating kept everything cosy. Parking right next to the cottage was so handy. Plus, the walks around Thaxted and the nearby windmill are perfect for a relaxing day out. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at this place during a rainy December and it was just perfect. The house is super well equipped, warm and cosy-really appreciated that! The bath was lovely and the shower was a good size. The location is ideal for dogs, especially those who hate fireworks, since its in the middle of nowhere. The only thing to note is the flight path noise, but it didnt bother us at all. Thanks a lot!

Underwear from previous occupants was still in lodge when we arrived. Furniture in a poor state. Just not what we would expect.

We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. The buildings been beautifully converted, keeping its historic charm, which we really appreciated. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages and their interesting history. Its a peaceful spot with everything you need for a comfortable break. Wed definitely recommend it if youre looking to unwind and explore the area.

We had a really lovely stay at this good place. The peaceful, private setting was just what we needed and the hosts were genuinely welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling - such a nice touch! Only thing to note is that the cottage is directly under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us after a while, but if you're sensitive, its worth keeping in mind. Overall, a great experience!

This is an amazing lodge with plenty of room to accommodate 8 people. I would suggest the smallest room is perhaps more suited to children,

We had such a lovely time at Goddard's Mead. Rob & Sharon have really put a lot of effort into restoring this historic place and it shows. They greeted us warmly along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we especially enjoyed wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages to soak up the history and admire the beautiful buildings. Definitely a place to come back to!

The cottage was just what we needed-quiet and tucked away, yet close enough to everything. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating kept us cosy inside. Rob and Sharon were lovely hosts and Bonnie was adorable! Cant wait to return for a longer stay!

We had a really lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert are such friendly hosts and made us feel right at home from the start. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - we felt totally secure. The location was great, lots of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are absolutely charming. Honestly, we left feeling so refreshed after our week away. Definitely recommend!
