The Boathouse in Laugharne is where Dylan Thomas lived with his family between 1949 and 1953. Set in a cliff overlooking the Tâf estuary, it is now a museum run by Carmarthenshire County Council. The interior has been returned to its 1950s appearance, with a recording of Thomas's voice playing in the background, and it holds memorabilia and some original furniture, including his father's desk.
Tip: Visit the writing shed close to the main house, where Thomas did most of his writing, and look across the estuary that inspired "Over Sir John's Hill".

Carmarthen Castle is a ruined medieval fortress in the county town of Carmarthen, on a high terrace overlooking the tidal River Towy. It began as an early 1100s timber motte and bailey, was rebuilt in stone and was captured, destroyed and rebuilt many times. Owain Glyndŵr took it in 1405, and Henry VII's father, Edmund Tudor, died here as a prisoner in 1456.

Cardigan Castle overlooks the River Teifi in the town of Cardigan. The site dates back to the late 11th century and was rebuilt in 1244. Rhys ap Gruffydd rebuilt it in stone, and in 1176 the first recorded eisteddfod was held here. After years of decay, it was restored and opened to the public.
Tip: There is no on-site parking for day visitors, so use the car park at the bottom of Quay Street, a minute's walk away.

The centrepiece is the Great Glasshouse, the world's largest single-span glasshouse at 110 m long and 60 m wide. It stands virtually on the site of Cockerell's mansion, the new Middleton Hall.
Tip: Look out across the restored eastern view towards Paxton's Tower, which was designed to be seen from the mansion's east side.

A "very tired" caravan. Needing much maintenance - but no maintenance team on site! Lavatory window catch was broken so the window could not open - not good for a lavatory! The Formica top to the table was ripped, torn, and its jagged edges were dangerous. Other features were not good, the toilet seat was very loose and wobbly, not enough sockets (very 1960s in application. I could go on, but needless to say, this caravan is not good.
Caravan was comfy with a comfy sofa. Main bedroom was a bit small, didnt need an on suite as this would have then meant the bedroom could have been bigger. You had to make up your own bed which was fine but the undersheet was too small and the duvet cover was too big. Bathrooms smelt a bit musty.
Great spacious caravan with Hottub , Would definitely spent the extra money again and upgrade to this king of accommodation it was well worth. Hot tub was lots of fun
Enjoyed every minute.everything was clean and tidy.everything was in the caravan you need for a stay.the only thing was I felt the hot tub needs to be reseated as the water poured over the side when we were in it and looking at it it was higher at the back than the front which made the grass very wet other than that perfect stay
We throughly enjoyed ourselves. We visited neighbouring towns and beaches. Lovely helpful staff and the facilities were well maintained. Its a very quiet site. Perfect for a quiet getaway.
Nice location (although very remote and accessible via some one way rural lanes) but let down by a lack of facilities and those that are there are in need of TLC and repair. Indoor pool much much smaller than advertised in photos. Restaurant/Bar is literally a handful of tables in a characterless meeting room. Child's play area very small and has seen better days (ideal only really for toddlers). Caravan was OK - advertised as 'exquisite' and luxury by Hoseasons but was just a bog standard caravan. It was clean and functional but nothing to write home about. Our view was of drainpipes and there were no other vans around us at all - just empty pitches.So: Good location to explore the gorgeous beaches and coastal towns that are so lovely for 3-4 days but not somewhere to enjoy a summer holiday if spending much time on the park or in the accomodation.

We loved the cosy vibe of the cottage, perfect for escaping the hustle but still near local shops. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating made everything super comfy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were lovely hosts. Were already planning our next visit-cant wait!
We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and honestly, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The buildings been beautifully restored, blending historic charm with comfort. The location's perfect for exploring Essexs quaint villages like Thaxted - totally worth wandering around. Everything about our stay was relaxing and wed definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a cosy getaway. Its ideal if you love discovering local history and good places!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The owners are genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us. The place is spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, with a really powerful shower - perfect after a day of exploring. Parking right next to the cottage was super convenient and the comfy bed made it hard to get up in the mornings! The walks to Thaxted are beautiful and we loved the quaint village with its half-timbered houses and windmill. Would definitely come back!

From the moment we arrived, the staff's friendliness really stood out - theyre genuinely welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean, with a modern look that we really liked. The beds were super comfy, making it easy to relax after a day out. The only thing that bothered us was the hot tub. Its quite tricky at night without any lighting, so you really need a torch to see where you're going. Plus, it wasnt very clean and when we turned the jets on, they didnt work very well, just pushing black muck around. If those issues were sorted, this place would be absolute perfection. Still, wed definitely recommend it to friends and family - its a lovely spot overall!

Overall, we had a pretty good stay. The caravan was clean and looked quite modern, which was nice. The living space suited us as a family of six, even if the bedrooms were on the smaller side - but thats to be expected in a caravan. The beds were comfy and having a full fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer made things so much easier. The hot tub was always spotless and checked daily. When we asked to raise the temperature, they did it without any fuss. Not bad at all!

The park was very clean and quiet, the only down side of the park was in our opinion, there was no shop for essentials, the nearest shop was a drive away, apart from that everything was excellent, our lodge was of a very high standard the staff were welcoming and very helpful. Close to Tenby and saundersfoot

We had a great stay here in July 2022. The facilities were exactly what we needed, a small clean pool, a park for the children. It was perfect base to explore West Wales.
Great holiday the park was brilliant with the swimming pool and a restaurant on site very clean and tidy just what we wanted
We had a lovely time here and at noble court. Our caravan had a slight issue but the staff were on hand to upgrade us quickly to try and sort the problem. Overall the location, cleanliness and facilities were excellent. The use of both the heated outdoor pool at noble and cooler indoor pool at croft was excellent during the hot weather. The staff were beyond helpful. We will return.
