Bluewood Lodges

Oxfordshire » Cotswolds

Bluewood Lodges are part of the Autograph Collection which are a select group of holiday parks offering high quality stylish and contemporary lodge accommodation.  Bluewood Lodges make the perfect romantic retreat tucked away in a small, stunning Bluebell Wood.

These lodges are an excellent base for exploring all that the Cotswolds have to offer and at the end of a busy day you can head back to your luxury lodge which has been carefully furnished with spacious decking outside. All of the lodges come with sunken outdoor hot tubs perfect for unwinding and spending quality time together.

Other activities include bike hire, BBQ hire, fishing and horse riding. Golf, cycling and walking trails are all within easy reach. A stay at Bluewood Lodges will really leave you feeling refreshed and rested.  Some of our favourite lodges here include the three bedroom Churchill Lodge for larger parties.

This is a spacious lodge sleeping six in one double and two twin rooms.  The Kingham and the Norton Lodges are also luxury options with the Norton Lodge being a superior New England Style VIP lodge perfect for special occasions.

Oxfordshire is an area full of rural charm topped off with stunning scenery. Places of interest include the attractive towns of Chipping Norton and Burford and you can also visit Blenheim Palace which was the birthplace of Winston Churchill. The city of Oxford is well worth a visit with lovely architecture and excellent shops as well as a thriving cafe culture.

With recent reviews describing the accommodation as top of the range and first class it's easy to see why these lodges are so popular. Reviews also describe the site as quiet and relaxing with beautiful surroundings.

Great lodge with good facilities! Very clean!
Patricia, Bury St Edmunds Suffolk
Date of stay: 21st June 2019
Excellent, only one minor point we were in No 4 and had to go outside to get WIFI. No big deal to us but could be to some people
Arlene, Gb
Date of stay: 27th May 2019
As with others, the caravans in front of us was a spoiler. Otherwise a great holiday.
Emma, Gy
Date of stay: 24th May 2019
Brilliant, would definitely go back again. I only down scored the location due to trees shading the decking and caravans blocking slightly blocking the view from the decking.
Margaret, Northampton
Date of stay: 13th May 2019
A lovely location on the bank of the river, comfortable, large & well equipped accommodation (apart from no hair dryer). Wonderful hot tub which we used every day, but some screening around for privacy would have been good. Friendly, helpful manager. The description on the website undersold this beautiful holiday. Given the chance, we'd certainly come again.
William, Burton-on-trent
Date of stay: 29th April 2019
Well equipped for two. A lot of windows and awkward blinds but acceptable.

Date of stay: 29th April 2019
Beautiful and quiet. Everything was ready and waiting for us on arrival with small details on the room to give it a special touch.
Clean, tidy and looked as we expected.

Date of stay: 22nd April 2019
The lodges are very nice. There is a bit of road noise, but you don't really hear it inside and it didn't trouble my sleep.
Michaela, Chester
Date of stay: 5th April 2019
We spent a short 4 night break here whilst visiting key sights near Windsor. The lodge was lovely and clean. Perfectly big enough for a family of 4 (2 adults; 2 children). We love a hot tub holiday so this is why we booked Benson Waterfront. The hot tub was fantastic and the setting was just beautiful. We stayed off peak, so we had a great view of the waterfront, however, Id imagine during peak season you MAY have the view of a touring caravan outside of your lodge; there are 6 to 8 pitches right in front of your lodge which of full, would spoil the waterfront views. But overall, it was a truly lovely and relaxing stay!! Just what we all needed!!! Just a tip though: take a hand towel for the bathroom and a bath mat for when you get out of the shower/bath. Thats all we struggled with. Everything else (including washing up liquid, tea towels and dishwasher powder was provided).

Date of stay: 21st May 2018
The cottage was a home from home and had all mod cons and everything you needed (and more) for a weekend getaway. The hot tub was not private though and everyone could see you when you are in it!
Samantha, Harlow
Date of stay: 23rd April 2018
No ac or fans so the cabin got very hot over night.
Susan, Matlock
Date of stay: 20th April 2018
We picked the first lovely warm week of the year! Had a relaxing few days in the sunshine. The main road is quite close to the lodges and quite busy so some noise especially the motorbikes taking advantage of the straight dry road.
The hot tub was why we had booked this place and it didn't disappoint.
Carol
Date of stay: 16th April 2018
Restaurant not used so no comment made except it was very busy.

Rochelle, Northampton

Beautiful location, helpful staff, very clean cabin.
Susan, Hampshire
Date of stay: 6th October 2017
We couldn't fault our accommodation in Benson Waterfront - there was everything needed to make for a comfortable four-night stay. It was warm, clean, comfortable and spacious with all "mod cons" - TV, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, central heating, bath and shower.

Cannot rate the on-site restaurant as we didn't use it, due to its opening times being Winter hours, so we ate locally during our days out and in the village, evenings.
Steven, Darlington
Date of stay: 2nd October 2017
Relaxing break, good accommodation, bistro 5 minutes stroll away, village of Benson has good facilities, and plenty to see in the local area including Henley not too far away

It was great.
Paul
Accommodation excellent. Very clean. Lovely Position by the Thames and good restaurant on site.
Susan
The lodges are at the far end of the complex away from the cafe. Not a lot of foot traffic. There's a view of the river and boats from the balcony. Close to the Thames Path.
Alison
Had a fantastic stay for the second time. Luxurious lodge. Great value for money.
Glennys
Great Sian was very welcoming
Allen
Great location lots to see. Cafe was closed evening in March. Office closed when we arrived and Sunday no contract telephone.
Holly
We had a lovely stay here, it was quiet and clean and a tranquil location. We were there early, slightly out of season, so the riverside cafe wasn't open for dinner. But there were nice pubs in the area and an M&S within walking distance, so we had options. It was a good base (if you have a car) to explore Oxfordshire.
Carol
Great location, lodge and hot tub. All of a very high and excellent standard couldn't fault it. Only slight downside for me was the traffic noise. But this may not be a problem for other people.
Pauline
Beautiful lodge with everything you need for a relaxing break, hot tub was fantastic just what you need after a day walking. So peaceful and lovely surroundings really enjoyed our stay we will be back. Pauline and Dennis from Derbyshire.
Margaret
Very relaxing break. Will be a lot better when laurel hedging grows to make hot tubs private
Clare
would return. lodge was spotless. had everything we needed.
Elaine
One word - excellent
Caroline
Spotlessy clean, great food at the bistro, freindly village pub, beautiful walks along the river,Oxford well worth a visit too.
Dawn
Fantastic location, local village with pubs and chippy walkable, lovely walk down the Thames. Lodge very clean and staff very helpful. Only negative which has been pointed out to staff in the visitors book in each lodge was the lack of kitchen utensils. No chopping board, no serving spoons, no stirring spoons, and lots of other essentials items to cook a meal were missing. I hope that the owners read the guest book and rectify this as if this was sorted the lodge would be perfect as the cleanliness and location were superb.
Joanne
Lovely quiet location, very relaxing
