As stated,other than the lack of things to entertain kids,the place in general is overall very good.

Lodge is nice but only the same size as a caravan. Mattresses VERY poor and very uncomfortable even my 5 year old commented his bed was uncomfy. But very clean and well appointed and the hot tub is emptied and refilled between guests though checkout isnt until 10am and by 9am ours was already being refilled which was slight annoying we couldnt use it for the kids whilst we packed up which has been our plan!

The pod was perfect and spotlessly clean. Nice and private and well looked after

Great holiday park, our lodge was beautifully furnished, spacious and great value for money.

The lodge was perfect , very clean , everything you needed in it suited us as a couple. The king bed was very comfortable.

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, its really well put together with high quality finishes all around. Theyve thought of pretty much everything! The only tricky part was trying to keep the temperature just right-those sunny days and chilly nights made it tricky. The deck and hot tub were definitely highlights, both absolutely lovely. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it to others!

Stunning lodge finished to high quality standard. Had thought of everything you'd need. Was a little hard to regulate temperature during a beautiful weekend with sunny days but frosty nights. Decked area was stunning- hot tub was lovely. A great stay, highly recommended.

We had a really lovely stay in this spacious lodge, which exceeded our expectations considering the price. It was spotless, well-equipped and perfect for what we needed. Definitely recommend!

A fantastic spacious holiday lodge that was above our expectations especially for the price we paid. The lodge was crisp, clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

Overall, we found the space to be well utilised and very clean, making it quite cosy. The outdoor huts with taps for dogs' paws are a good idea, though itd be better if they were on all the time to keep things cleaner. The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise, wed recommend it!

We found the hive to be just the right size for our stay. The place was modern, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The only real issue was the pull-out bed - super noisy springs made it uncomfortable, so we switched to the sofa bed for a couple of nights and moved the table around a bit. Also, we got a bit of a weird vibe at first because it seemed like wed been assigned a hive pet spot, even though we dont have pets. There was a faint musty smell when we arrived and the bathroom had a slight urine odour, which was a bit off. Luckily, opening some windows did the trick and everything was fine after that. Still, it was a decent stay overall.

The lodge was spotless and well-equipped, really impressed. Would've loved a handheld vacuum to keep everything tidy throughout the week though. Still, great stay!

The place was really good for what we paid, quiet spot and had all essentials. Sofa bed wasnt the comfiest, but manageable!

We had a pretty good stay overall. The caravan was spotless when we arrived and you could definitely tell theyd used plenty of cleaning products. We brought our own bedding and towels, so no comment there, but it was well stocked with plates, cutlery and pans. The full-size fridge freezer was a real bonus since we cooked most evenings. There was a bit of damage to a door and a couple of tie backs, but honestly, it didnt ruin our trip at all. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Wild Rose. The place isnt bustling with activities, but thats perfect for us since we love exploring nearby spots. Itd be great if there were more on-site options, but honestly, it didnt ruin our trip at all. Well definitely return!

The caravan was spotless and clearly well looked after, which we really appreciated. We did find it a bit tricky without a thermostat to manage the heating, relying solely on individual radiator valves. Maybe park management could think about adding one for easier control. Still, a lovely stay overall!

Comfortable, clean, would recommend

Overall, we had a decent stay. The caravan was spotless and the view was stunning. Toilets felt a bit cramped, but the place is new and well-maintained.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The site itself is lovely and the pool was nice and warm, which was a real highlight. The Hive pod was spacious and well stocked, making it super comfortable for us. We brought along our three kids-aged 7, 12 and 12-and they loved it too. The only thing we found a bit tricky was that there arent many places within walking distance to explore, so we had to drive at least half an hour for full days out, which was fine but a bit of a hassle. Plus, when we returned, the pool and cafe were closed, so longer opening hours would be a bonus if you want to stay on site all day. Still, wed definitely come back, especially with younger children!

We had a really lovely stay and honestly, the caravan was way nicer than we expected! The site itself was pretty peaceful during our visit, though I reckon it might get quite busy during school holidays, so maybe not ideal then. The cafe and bar were also a real highlight, very comfy and welcoming. The only thing that marred our experience was discovering a damp, sweaty smell in the bedroom after a couple of days. We also found someone elses underpants under the bed, which was a bit gross. Its clear the cleaners missed a basic check there. If not for that, wed have rated it a solid 10/10. Still, overall, a lovely break!

Overall, we had a lovely stay. The bar and restaurant served up some really delicious food and the swimming area was spotless. A couple of small things would make it even better-like comfy chairs on the balcony and a cover on the mattress for hygiene. Wed definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

Great experience overall, we'll definitely be coming back again soon! The mini mart's closure was a bit of a bummer though.

What a fabulous Park. Upon arrival the park is just so beautiful, well presented and clean - yes it has refurb and building works going on but that doesn't spoil anything. All staff we came across were extremely friendly and helpful, we felt genuinely welcome. We stayed in one of the Hive which were just fantastic for what we wanted and exceeded our expectations with no expense spared.

The location and setting is perfect for all types of people with Appleby just down the road and the Lakes just over an hour away or perfect to make the most of the park and just relax.

We have stayed on many parks and can honestly say this is one of the best by far with a lot of improvements already going on. Will be returning again very soon and would stay in a Hive again or may be treat ourselves to a caravan.

Park was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area was beautiful and lots of things to see and do.

Great place in beautiful surroundings only negative would be the bar only sells pizza on the menu which means having to go off site for meals but didn’t ruin our trip away

Was brilliant we tried to book an extra night but it wasn’t aloud which is a shame. There’s no shop on site but. 5 minute drive to Appleby was shops to use.
The restaurant was lovely fairly priced & staff were amazing! The only thing I’d say was the view of construction but it can’t be helped & it’s helping improve the park so no bother! Will defo be returning

Just back from a lovely weekend break here. The receptionist was super friendly and really tried to give our dog treats even though he sometimes wasn't interested. The bar is lovely and ic the new building work matches up to that it will be amazing

We were put in brand new caravan in the new development, which was lovely. Only negative is every cupboard in kitchen had something in it so finding space for food we’d taken was struggle out of sight of kids lol

The new restaurant was open but unfortunately the toilets were not so 4 portaloos were in car park opposite which were everything you’d expect, smelly and unpleasant. It was extremely busy with nice weather and staff did best under challenging conditions

We had a great short break at wild rose Park. The friendliness of the staff was amazing nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a pet hive as travelled with our dog.
The area was a little remote which we were aware of, but we walked into ormside, travelled by car to Appleby and the dog loved the dog park at the site. The bar and food was great, the pool was chilly but my son had great fun in there.
The ice-cream farm near to penrith was great fun for my son and the ice-cream was divine!

We would happily return, especially as the facilities are being increased with new pool etc being built. The caravan gave the impression of being new and was immaculate, and the view was spectacular. Need a car to get anywhere but Appleby is only a few minutes’ drive away and the Lakes are reasonable distance for an outing.
