Nothing was wrong with the lodge

We booked a Gold Plus 2 with decking at Ribble Valley Country and Leisure Park via Hoseasons.There was myself, my Wife and our dog.When we arrived at 16:00 on the hottest day in August, our van was not ready and neither were the vans of many other people booked in on that day.Obviously, we all had food in our cars and some had young children. We along with many other people had dogs in the cars too.Apparently there was an issue with housekeeping and they were awaiting keys after the vans had been cleaned.When we eventually got into our van it was not particularly clean.We had to change the bedding as there were paw prints from the previous residents on the duvet and the bed had obviously not been changed.The van also had no decking which we particularly booked for the reason of being able to allow our dog to have access to outside space without the worry of losing her.Strangely enough, we had 4 dining chairs but no dining table.Because we were late being able to get into our van we were unable to complain on the evening as reception was closed.The next morning I was told that the table had been broken and they were trying to get another.We did get one the next day which was delivered whilst we were out and it was un-ceremonially dumped in the van.The issue with our van not having the decking we had paid for was laid squarely at Hoseasons door. Apparently Hoseasons take bookings all the time and just dump their customers into any old van.We were also promised wonderful views of the local landscape and Pendle hill, none of which were visible from anywhere on the site as there were trees and bushes all around the perimeter.The view from the van itself from the only picture window in it was of a hedge which was inches from the van, 10 feet high and afforded no view of anything whatsoever.The vans were also tightly packed together giving no privacy. This was our first time booking with Hoseasons and the whole holiday was misrepresented to us and we feel we were mis-sold the whole experience.We will not be booking through them again.

Very comfortable caravan. Great facilities. 2 toilets. Plenty of seating. Good size dining table. Heating.

I would not recommend this accommodation. This is not a site for families.

The vans are very close to each other, ours (162) was not very clean, there was a frying pan full of oil in the oven when we arrived for us to clean. There are plastic mattress protectors on all the beds (very uncomfortable). There was no toilet roll - so dont be expecting a welcome pack!!

Only problem we had was it was really hot on a night and the plastic protection cover on the bed was a little uncomfortable

The caravan was basic but you do get what you pay for it was a cheap holiday. The bedrooms were very very very small. You could barely move round in them. The caravan was tidy on arrival but quite a few of the glasses and cutlery were dirty.

Very comfy and all we needed in the kitchen. A coffee table in front of the tv would be helpful and lamps for the living room and bedroom would provide more ambient light.

On arrival, no toilet roll in bathroom.no coasters placemats, no attention to detail at all ,very basic considering suppose to be gold plus? Double bed was saggy in the middle poorly made up had to remake it Found used tissues and a back scratcher under the sofa cushion Poorly equipped no facilities site Left early checked out would not return

This caravan met our needs. My daughter has limited mobility, so the access ramp and large wet room made the caravan accessible for her. The caravan was clean. I would have preferred some cleaning products, but it was otherwise well equipped.

the sofa bed didn't have the cover on it so when used as a sofa it felt like there was a massive hole in it. Van was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Could've had steps that weren't "see through" as the dogs were a little unsure but it was a good enough van

The staff at this site were amazing, so helpful and friendly! The site is quiet, facilities are just play area, football field, dog field and laundrette. Bit thats what we were looking for. Caravan was spotless and very modern, proper living room furniture not caravan furniture. The pub next door was great for food and drinks off site. There are no shops or anything around unless you do a 10 minute drive, make sure to bring with you what you need. For what I paid, I thought it was a brilliant stay! Just to mention the staff again, couldnt have been more helpful when I checked in and when I popped in with questions about walks etc.

Very comfy beds. Rooms small but manageable. All kitchen utensils and equipment as needed. Heated wellShower was goodWe were 4 people not sure where 8 would stay and move around unless small children.

Badly designed caravan. Bedrooms tiny.No handles on the cupboards just pull the door. Ridiculously small handle on the fridge.Cupboards over the sink block any view and are just right to bang your head, thanks.Virtually no practical worktop space in kitchen.Feels like it was designed by someone whose never stayed in one and tried to make it look modern but it's just, dark, bland and impractical.

We had such a lovely week staying in one of the new rental vans at the park. The whole place was spotless and really peaceful, which was just what we needed. The staff were fantastic-Michelle on reception was especially helpful, sorting out a minor issue quickly and giving us some great tips for local days out. The other lady on reception was also really friendly. The van itself had everything we required, though some table lamps in the living area and bedroom wouldve been a nice touch. Were already booked for next year - cant wait to return, it really was a fantastic break!

Had a great week in one of the new rental vans on the park . The park was spotless + nice and quiet . The staff we met were great + sorted out a little problem we had straight away + to our satisfaction, thankyou to michelle on reception for her help and also her tips on days out + what to do in the area.The other lady on reception/ sorry forgotten your name was lovely too. The van had everything we needed could just do with table lamps for the living area + bedroom . We have booked to go back next year we had such a good week .

Great overall, but dont forget, youll need your own vehicle.

Fantastic caravan value for money all tho You need a car

The lodge is really well-made and top quality! We loved the stay, but the wide-open windows could be a safety concern with kids around. Maybe some catches would make it perfect. Still, highly recommended!

The lodge was charming, but we were disappointed by the lack of Wi-Fi and on-site amenities. Shops were quite far away.

We recently stayed at the platinum lodge and really enjoyed our time there. The place felt brand new and was so well designed; the walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom was a real highlight, along with the en-suite. The robes and slippers added a touch of luxury. Beds were comfy and we were disappointed the weather wasnt better so we could sit outside on the balcony and soak in the view. Definitely a lovely stay!
