We stayed at this place recently and honestly, its lovely. The house is super well kitted out and kept us warm during that rainy December weather-much appreciated! The bath was fantastic and the shower is quite spacious. Being near a flight path didnt bother us at all, so dont worry about that. Perfect spot for dogs that hate fireworks, out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a lot!

We spent a lovely break at this charming cottage on a working farm and it felt surprisingly private. The hosts, Robert and Sharon, couldnt be nicer-they really made us feel at home. The place itself is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave. The gardens perfect for dogs, totally private and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants-The Star and The Maypole are our favourites. Wed definitely recommend it!

The owners are genuinely friendly and super helpful, always nearby if you need anything but never intrusive. The hot tub was a real treat after a long cycle day. Only thing to note is that the cottage is just under Stansteds flight path, so aircraft noise is pretty noticeable at first. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth mentioning. Overall, a great find!
