Some form of ambient lighting in the bedroom would have been nice rather that 2 very bright LED lights only, even a bed side lamp would have been nice !

The bedroom smelt vaguely of dogs, I thought we had booked a pet free caravan. The rest of the caravan was fine.

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and have to say, the owners Rob and Sharon really put in a lot of effort to beautifully restore this historic place. They gave us such a warm welcome, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect, nestled in a lovely part of Essex. We definitely recommend exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages - so much history and charming architecture to enjoy!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely little cottage. Its perfectly tucked away for peace, yet close enough to everything we needed. The hot tub was a highlight and the underfloor heating made it super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were all so welcoming. Cant wait to return!

We had an amazing stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us warm, even on the rainy December days. The bath was just perfect and the shower was nice and spacious. Being on a flight path didnt bother us in the slightest, so dont worry about that. Its in a quiet spot, great for dogs that dislike fireworks. Really lovely place, thanks a lot!

We loved this cosy little cottage! Its nicely tucked away, so it feels really private, but still close enough to enjoy local shops and cafes. The hot tub was a highlight and the underfloor heating kept us super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome. Cant wait to return!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! Its really well equipped - we didnt need to bring a thing. The welcome pack was full of useful info and menus, which was a nice touch. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were super quick to respond to any questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect for relaxing. We appreciated the little extras for us and the pups. Overall, a fantastic break - wed definitely come back again!

We needed a break for walking the dog and it was just what we hoped for. Lovely place, close to pubs and eateries, with endless fields and trails nearby. The dog was so happy, didnt want to leave!

We had a lovely week staying here in July with our two mini daschunds who really loved it. The village of Thaxted is charming and friendly and our pups made a few new furry friends. The cottage itself is cosy and well-maintained, with the hot tub being a real highlight-especially during those scorching days when it was cool and refreshing. The hosts are warm and welcoming and we enjoyed watching the planes land from near the house, even though we're close to Stansteds flight path. Overall, wed happily recommend it!

Great caravan, clean and beautiful. Restaurant so clean and quick service great food just no pizzas we went every time in the day and sold out. Swimming great and clean as well. Evening entertainment fantastic shows were incredible, staff got invoked with the kids and kids show x

We had to report that the microwave turntable needed replacing but nothing was done during our stay. Caravan was clean on arrival and we were happy with it apart from the hard mattress and trying to get into the bed was difficult due to the tiny amount of space available each side

Amazing holiday very kind people kids loved how many activities they had to do would 100% recommend the only down side we had was the cooker wasn’t working properly we did report it but no one came out

Your staff are a credit to your business! Amazing people who did nothing but help when called upon! Entertainment for the kids was just what they needed and everything else was amazing. To relive my childhood with my own children is something special.
