We booked a doggy getaway and honestly, it was just what we needed. The place was lovely, close to pubs and shops and endless fields for walks. Our dog loved it, didnt want to leave!

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! The peaceful setting was perfect for unwinding and the hot tub was definitely a highlight. Everything inside was spotless and well-equipped. Plenty of walks nearby made it a truly relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly but not overbearing, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed and we even enjoyed using the BBQ one night. The hot tub was a real highlight! Wed definitely come back and already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely break!

We had a fantastic week at this place in Thaxted! The cottage really is lovely and the hot tub was such a treat, especially during the scorching weather - it was nice and cool, perfect for cooling down. Our two mini dachshunds had a great time making friends in the village, which was lovely to see. The hosts were super welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed watching the planes land since its close to Stansteds flight path. Its definitely somewhere wed recommend for a relaxed getaway with your furry friends!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage, nestled on a working farm but surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are such lovely people, really friendly and welcoming. The place itself is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave! The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and furnished nicely. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted has some cracking restaurants like The Star and The Maypole-definitely recommend this spot!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was really well equipped and super cosy, which was perfect given the rainy December weather. The bath was lovely and the shower was spacious - just what we needed. The location is ideal, especially if you have dogs that dislike fireworks, since its quite remote. No noise at all from the flight path either, so dont worry about that. Thanks a lot!

The hot tub was a real treat after a long cycle day! One thing to mention, though, is that the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us after a while, but if youre sensitive to noise, its something to consider. Overall, wed definitely come back!

We had a fantastic week at Oathill Farm Lodges! The lodges had everything we needed and the hot tub was such a treat after a day out. We really appreciated the lack of internet - it was a perfect chance to unwind and spend proper quality time together as a family. You could tell the lodge was dog-friendly, especially with the slightly worn sofa, but honestly, it didnt impact comfort at all. The location is brilliant, with loads of things nearby that are great for both kids and dogs - even a farm to visit! Huge thanks to Nicky and Adrian for such a warm welcome and all their local tips. We loved it!

We loved the cosy lodge - its super well equipped and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. Adrians advice on local spots was spot on. The park was spotless, great dog walks and treats for our pup! Cant wait to return.

If you're looking for a quiet location set in lovely countryside, this is ideal. There aren't any facilities on site, but the accommodation was excellent and all the staff we met were great.

A lovely lodge in a rural setting but within reach of the coast and main towns of Somerset and Dorset. We had a very warm welcome from the site managers and we were impressed with how tidy and clean they kept the site. Thank you to them also for the information they gave us about walks in the locality. It really made our holiday one to remember.

Had a very enjoyable and relaxing week at Oathill. The hot tub was great and checked daily to ensure the water quality was good. I feel the lodge would benefit from a proper shower instead of the tap attachment, although we used the onsite showers and due to only the lodges being in use there were no queues, but I can imagine them being very busy once more tents/caravans were on the site. The dog walking field is a great idea, ours especially enjoyed a run off lead, despite running into a wire fence due to the long grass on the perimeter! We will definitely return one day ?

We had a fabulous time at Oat Hill Farm, staying in Cherry Tree lodge. The setting was peaceful and beautiful and we would have liked more time to explore the area. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Our only query was although we enjoyed meeting the emus on the farm, we decided against following the footpath through their field as we weren't sure if they would have welcomed us!

My two sisters and I booked this for a weekend getaway and it was everything we hoped for. the facilities were great and the hot tub very welcome. Everything was clean and comfortable and I'd definitely look to come back again even if we did it the traditional camping way.

Beautiful Place, Lovely staff who gave really good tips on where to go in the areas around, Amazing lodge in general, even came with a Hot Tub which we werent expecting! Well maintained and didnt want to go home!
