Loved every moment, perfectly relaxing and just what we needed!

Wow, what a fantastic weekend we had! From the moment we arrived, we felt so at home. The lodge is beautifully modern and super luxurious and we loved the festive Christmas touches everywhere - it really added to the cosy vibe. The place is so well stocked; we appreciated the local cheese and bubbly waiting for us, such a nice touch. And a big thumbs up for how welcoming they were to our dog - treats, a tennis ball, dog bowls - he was made to feel just as special. The view from the lodge is simply breathtaking and knowing the entrance is gated made us feel secure throughout our stay. We got regular check-ins from the owners, which made us feel really looked after without being intrusive. The bed was massive and there were plenty of towels, so no complaints there. The only minor thing was the fridge - its pretty small with just a tiny freezer drawer. Were glad we didnt do a big supermarket shop beforeh and, or we mightve struggled for space. Nothing serious, just a heads up for anyone planning a longer stay. Honestly, if I could give it an 11 out of 10, I would! Stunning scenery, a lovely place to relax and the hot tub on the deck was the cherry on top. Were already talking about coming back soon!

We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob, Sharon and Bonnie really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The buildings been beautifully converted, keeping its historic charm but with all the comforts you could need. The locations perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you enjoy wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages - so much history and stunning architecture. Wed definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway!

Absolutely loved our stay! The lodges panoramic views, especially Glastonbury Tor in the distance, were stunning. Its the most well-equipped and solidly built place we've stayed at in the UK. Definitely recommend it!

We had an amazing stay at Tor View! The lodges are beautifully finished and everything feels really well thought out. The hot tub was just what we needed - clean, inviting and super relaxing after a day out. The location is so peaceful, with stunning views that made our getaway truly special. We had a lovely stay at Ditcheat Hill View. The lodges design was stunning and the panoramic views really are one of a kind. Rupert made us feel so welcome, nothing seemed like too much trouble. Everything was spotless and well-equipped. Definitely hoping to return soon!

Valley View really blew us away with its breathtaking scenery. Its much more spacious than we thought and had all the essentials. Spotless when we arrived and honestly, we couldnt find a single thing to complain about.
