We stayed here for a week in July with our two mini daschunds and honestly, it was a lovely experience. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real highlight-perfectly timed during the hot weather to cool off. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel very welcome; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields daily. Being close to the flight path near Stansted was interesting too, we actually enjoyed watching the planes come in. Overall, wed definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us warm despite the rainy December weather. The bath was perfect after a long day and the shower was great too. The location is ideal if your dogs dislike fireworks - its really remote, so no noise worries. The property is beautifully converted and just lovely overall. Thanks a lot!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and made us feel really welcome. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that made for great sleeps. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and furnished nicely. We also enjoyed exploring the walks nearby and dining in Thaxted; The Star and The Maypole are top choices. Overall, wed definitely recommend it!

Poor parking arrangements due to inconsiderate guests hogging space for too long on departure day. Also someone using the drop off spot as a parking space

We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The hosts were so friendly and inviting, making us feel right at home. Even on a busy farm, it was such a peaceful retreat!

Overall, the place is pretty clean, just a few dog hairs here and there-under cushions, in the sink, outside. Apart from that, honestly, its mostly spotless, no dust at all!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge! Its super spacious and the beds are comfy, which was a bonus. The bathroom shower was great and having direct access to the hot tub from the room was perfect. The veranda overlooking the golf course made relaxing with a drink even better.

The hosts were really welcoming and the cottage itself was simply lovely. The hot tub and log burner made it extra special for us!
