We needed a quick escape for walking the dog and this place was spot on. Lovely countryside, plenty of off-road routes and the local pubs were just a short stroll away. The dog didnt want to leave!

We only stayed for a couple of nights, so we rated the value as a 4*. Honestly, a weeks stay wouldn't have been much more expensive, which seems like good value. The fixtures and fittings were really nice, but a few spots like the bathroom felt a bit awkwardly designed for real practicality. Still, we enjoyed it!

As we were only there for two days, the value for money was scored as a 4*. This is because a week (7-days would have been only a little more, The fixtures and fittings were lovely, however there were some areas (i.e. bathroom) that did not appear to be well laid out for practical use.
