We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert were such warm hosts and made us feel right at home. The place had everything we needed - comfy, spotless and secure for Archie, our dog. The location was spot on, with lots of walks nearby. Thaxted and the surrounding villages are charming, perfect for exploring. Honestly, we left feeling totally recharged and relaxed. Definitely recommend for a peaceful break!

This place is just lovely! The cottage is super well-kept and had everything we needed. We loved the dog walks right from the door - so handy! The host was really friendly and quick to reply, which made everything so easy. Meeting the animals, especially Penelope the pig, was such a treat. Well definitely return, great value! Highly recommend.

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place really ticked all our boxes and were already planning to return. Our dogs were over the moon with the underfloor heating and the garden was perfect for them to run around. Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it-thanks to all the fun! Everyone was really happy. Great spot!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage! Its tucked away on a working farm but feels surprisingly private, which was perfect for us. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely charming and friendly. The place itself is super spacious, with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed was so comfy, we slept like logs. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded with nice furniture. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!

We had a really lovely time staying here. The views are absolutely stunning and the location of the hut is just perfect-peaceful and picturesque. The hosts are friendly and helpful if you need anything, but they also respect your privacy, which we appreciated. The hot tub is great once it's heated, although it does take about two hours, but honestly, its worth the wait. The hut is well kitted out, though a small radio wouldve been nice. The welcome booklet was super handy and there were lots of personal touches that made us feel special. We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night winter escape!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and it was lovely. Rob and Sharon clearly put a lot of effort into restoring this historic place and theyre both so welcoming-plus Bonnie is adorable! The house itself has everything you'd want for a relaxing break. The location is perfect too, nestled in a nice part of Essex. We definitely recommend taking some time to explore Thaxted and the surrounding villages, there's so much charm and history to discover. Definitely a place to visit again!

The bath was really relaxing and the shower is a good size too. The location is a bit under a flight path, but honestly, it didnt bother us at all.
