We had a really lovely stay! The house was super well stocked and it was so cosy and warm, which was perfect for the rainy December weather. The bath was fantastic and the shower was big enough to enjoy too. Being near a flight path didnt bother us at all, honestly. Its a great spot if youve got dogs that hate fireworks - so peaceful out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a lot!

We booked last minute and were super impressed with the lodge. It really was outstanding, definitely better than we expected. Even though we arrived later than planned, around 4:30, they made us feel so welcome - tea, biscuits and bread waiting for us was a lovely surprise. The hot tub was gorgeous and the small onsite gym and spa were a real bonus. Were already planning to come back next year!

We had such a lovely stay! The cottage is super well-kept and had everything we needed. The dog walks right outside were perfect for our little ones. The host was really friendly and quick to respond. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a sweet touch. Absolutely worth it and well be coming back for sure!

We recently stayed at Goddard's Mead and were really impressed. Rob and Sharon clearly put a lot of effort into beautifully restoring this historic place, which gives it such charm. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, along with Bonnie. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we loved wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages, soaking up the history and lovely architecture. Definitely a spot wed recommend for a relaxing break!

We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was sleek and modern, perfect for a quick getaway. The only thing was, other lodges felt a bit close and there weren't many green spaces. The cliff walk into Mundesley made up for it though!
