Warm and inviting stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rural setting was so peaceful and the courtyard with its lovely slate was a highlight. The hot-tub made everything feel extra special. Perfect for country walks!

The lodge was really charming and spotless, with a private hot tub that wasnt overlooked at all. The staff were friendly and made sure the hot tub was always clean and checked regularly. We took a bus into Edinburgh and loved exploring the nearby walking routes. Overall, we had a fantastic stay!

The shower is fantastic and the bed was super comfy. Parking right outside was a big plus and everything was spotless. We enjoyed peaceful walks through the fields to Thaxted, with its beautiful old houses and windmill. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

The beds werent amazing, but honestly, they couldve been worse. I really liked the pillows and blankets, plus those towels were so soft and big! Definitely a plus.

The owners were super friendly and always on hand if we needed anything, but it still felt peaceful and secluded. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long day cycling around the area! Just a heads up, its right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, it might be worth considering. Overall, wed definitely come back!

The place was spotless when we got there, which was a great start. The hot tub was checked daily and we found plenty of crockery. When our cooker broke, they responded super quick-within the hour! Plus, a bottle of wine and even washing up stuff waiting for us-really thoughtful touches.

We booked this place for a dog walking getaway and honestly, it was just what we needed. The accommodation was top-notch and with pubs and eateries nearby, plus endless fields for off-road strolls, we didnt want to leave the dog behind! Absolutely loved it!
