Well presented lodge with good range of kitchen utensils and equipment. Lounge seating was a bit tired but comfortable enough for the short time we were there. Beds comfortable but softer than we are used to (just personal preference).Slightly disappointed that our lodge didnt have a washing machine after reading it would have on the lodge descriptor prior to booking. The on-site launderette only has one washing machine and one dryer so this could present a problem if you were staying longer than a few days.

We had a lovely stay and honestly, it was just what we needed for a relaxing break with our dog. The onsite facilities are really handy, especially if you like bringing your furry friend along-theres plenty of space for walks right outside the door. Parking right next to the lodge made everything so much easier and the area is well lit at night, so no worries about walking back after dark. Inside, everything was spotless and well-maintained. The kitchen had all the essentials if you fancied cooking up a meal, which we did a couple of times. The bathroom was one of the nicest parts-super modern with a double shower over the bath and a vanity mirror that lights up, which was a nice touch! The bedroom was comfy, with built-in wardrobes and a floor-to-ceiling mirror, plus ample storage for shoes and coats. We appreciated the good storage-always handy when youre walking in all weather. The lodges heating system was straightforward to control and kept us warm all the time, which was much appreciated. Our lodge was secluded enough that we could relax outside on the table and chairs, enjoying the peaceful views-definitely a perk on such a big site with over 100 lodges. The onsite shop had a nice selection of goods and stayed open until 7:30 pm and we popped into the bar for drinks-didn't eat there but the food looked tasty. Plenty of activities for families, but we just enjoyed the quiet walks and surroundings. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect break with our dog. Onside facilities good for if you are like us and take your dog away on holiday with you.Car parking next to Lodge, Lodge area well lit up at night. With walks on your doorstep.Facilities inside all clean, kitchen had all you needed to cook breakfast or dinner if you wanted to. Bathroom very modern with a double shower over bath and light up vanity mirror!! Bedroom builtin wardrobes with floor to ceiling mirror and the bed was comfy. Storage facilities good for shoes and coats etc, they supplied everything you needed to keep the lodge clean if like us you walk in all weather's! Muddy boots are always a risk ! The lodge had a, modern heating system so always warm 24/7 which was easy to set to temp required. Our lodge was not over looked which was perfect to be able to sit on outside with table abd chairs provided. We loved the peaceful outlook although this is a large site with over 100 lodges you would never guess thos. The insight shop supplied lots of nice goods and was open untill 1930. The restaurant you could just have a drink inside or out we didn't have a meal but the food looked delicious. Looked like plenty to do if you have children, we just enjoyed the surroundings and walks. Onsite staff very helpful. We will return.

We really loved our stay at the lodge! Its so modern, bright and spotless, with everything we needed. The location within the park is perfect-super private and peaceful. Watching the squirrels and birds was such a treat, especially that cheeky squirrel who almost knocked on the door! The hot tub was a real highlight, even better in the rain. Would definitely come back!

The place is really spacious and the view from the decking is lovely. Hearing the birds when we open the windows was such a nice touch! Kitchen's well stocked too.

We really enjoyed our stay, but it was a bit tricky drying our hair since there's only a mirror in one bedroom. Would be perfect with a proper space!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge had all we needed, though the sofa could use a replacement since its a bit saggy in the corner. Still very comfy overall.

We stayed at the lodge during half term and honestly, it was pretty lovely. The place was spotless, with fresh linen and really soft towels-definitely appreciated after a day out. The kitchen was fully stocked, with a spotless oven, a small pack of washing up liquid, a sponge and dishwasher tablets, which was super handy. It did feel a bit outdated though-there was a CD player and radio alarm clock, so maybe a Bluetooth speaker or USB plugs would be a nice upgrade. The TV was a tad small but straightforward to connect to streaming services. All in all, a good stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodges were spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed. It wouldve been perfect if we couldve requested two double beds instead of twins, since my mum found it tricky to push the singles together. Also, a few bits of dust under the furniture, but overall, a lovely experience.

As someone tall, I find most lounge furniture a bit too low, but the cabin has all the facilities we need. Last times location wasnt ideal-too close to neighbours and overlooked. Hoping to book directly again soon! Were off to Ashbourne next.

The place was lovely overall, but the double bed's mattress topper was a bit too soft for my taste. Still enjoyed it!

The lodge was alright, a bit old-fashioned but had all we needed. Comfy bed and a spacious bathroom with a separate shower.

We had a great time at Darwin & the cabin. The Elite Lodges sauna and jacuzzi were spot on, especially the outdoor bath. Definitely recommend it for relaxation and comfort. Ace experience!
