We spent a week here in July with our two miniature dachshunds and honestly, it was just lovely. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real treat, especially during the scorching weather, as it cooled the water nicely. The hosts made us feel super welcome and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Being close to Stansted's flight path was actually quite interesting - watching the planes land was pretty cool! Overall, wed definitely recommend for a peaceful escape. Well be back!

We really enjoyed staying at this cosy cottage. Perfect spot for a peaceful break, away from busy crowds. The hot tub was fantastic! Hosts were super friendly and unobtrusive.

The space was really nice and super clean, but we found the kitchen essentials pretty limited-no good trays or bowls. Still, we loved it and will come back!

We stayed at the lodge recently and really appreciated how modern and well-furnished it was, especially compared to the accessible one. Its a cosy spot for a weekend getaway, no doubt.

We had a fantastic time staying here! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home and their warm welcome made all the difference. The place was spotlessly clean, cosy and perfect for our dog Archie - we felt completely secure. The location was just right with loads of lovely walks and Thaxted and nearby villages are absolutely charming. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed!

Honestly, we had a really good time here. The lodges are spacious and spotless, with a private hot tub and a big decking area to chill out on. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Theres plenty to do too - fishing on the lake, a 5-a-side pitch, trampoline and pool tables kept us busy. The onsite marquee with live music and drinks was a bonus. Shops are nearby and attractions like cinema, foot golf and archery are within easy reach. Were definitely coming back!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this cottage and honestly, it was lovely. The owners are really friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive, which was perfect. The fenced garden was great for our dog to roam freely. The place was fully equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed using the bbq one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! Wed definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a great stay!

The place was absolutely gorgeous, super clean and really comfy. We had such a wonderful break, hot tub was fantastic!

Overall, it's a pretty decent place, but it could really use a few more essentials. With 12 girls sharing one lodge, some extra oven trays, oil and toilet rolls would make life so much easier. Still, we had a good time!

We stayed at the cottage recently and really enjoyed our time there, but it does need some TLC. The skirting boards and sofa cushions are quite worn and the door upstairs has a big hole covered by a sign. Also, adding curtains or blinds upstairs would make it feel more cosy. Still, a lovely place overall.

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! The place is super well looked after and has everything you could need. Our dog loved the nearby walks and meeting Penelope the pig was a real highlight! The hosts were warm and quick to respond. Definitely coming back - great value for money and a perfect little getaway.

Overall, we really enjoyed the stay. The place was lovely, but a couple of small issues like no walk-in shower for older guests and running out of hot water with so many of us. Still, would recommend!

The place is fantastic overall, but the mattresses could be a bit more comfy, honestly! Great venue though.

We visited for my sisters birthday the lodge was lovely really spacious and had everything we could need. We had one minor issue whilst on site we called the number in the guest book and the staff were with us in a matter of minutes they were really helpful nothing was too much. I’d highly recommend. We will be returning with our children as it is a great site for all x

Lovely location, good entertainment

Had the best break with family and friends. My daughter uses a wheelchair and the lodge was ideal. Loved the big decking, fire pit table and hot tub, also had good night in the marquee. Will be booking again for next year

We had a lovely week here. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lodge was a great size and we had everything we needed. It was lovely and clean. The hot tub was lovely and was checked and cleaned each morning. We didn't do any fishing but spoke to others who did and they were catching plenty. The site is very well laid out and very tidy. The bar was very reasonably priced. The kids loved the football pitch, trampoline and Slushies! We hope to return next year.

Great Lodge, loads of room, hot tub excellent, was inspected and cleaned every day. Location was good, close to Conkers, Moira Furnace, and not too far to Drayton Manor, Warwick Castle.
Staff very friendly, after reading previous reviews which were pretty mixed was pleasantly surprised, all very good, we could nix pick for a few more cooking trays etc.. Shower head hose was leaking and informed staff, was fixed that day (I wish people that complain would ask as nothing seamed to be a bother). A little bit of noise came from the marque tent but this stopped after 10:30pm. Kids loved the play area which included a bouncy castle.

Fabulous girly weekend away . Beautiful clean lodge .
Only negative is that the glasses were sparse .
