We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and had such a lovely time. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfy. The hosts were really friendly and even though its on a working farm, it felt so peaceful and relaxing!

Really enjoyed the walk, the fields were beautiful and the dogs loved exploring everywhere! Great day out.

The owners were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, without intruding on our privacy. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day. One thing to keep in mind-it's right under Stansted's flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be an issue if you're noise-sensitive. All in all, wed definitely return!

The hot tub was a real treat and the underfloor heating kept everything super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. Cant wait to return for a longer stay soon!

We stayed in the caravan recently and honestly, it was quite nice for a basic place. Everything was spotless and the sheets were all wrapped up in plastic, which was a nice touch. There were little extras like washing up liquid too. We werent told about the heaters, but it turned out they had heaters in every room, including the bathroom. A pleasant surprise!

The location is perfect-nestled in a nice part of Essex. Wed definitely recommend exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages to soak up some local history and charming sights. Its well worth the trip!
