We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and were really impressed. Rob and Sharon have done a wonderful job preserving the historic charm of the place while making it comfortable and welcoming. They greeted us so warmly and Bonnie was adorable too! The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially the charming villages and Thaxteds lovely sights. Its a peaceful spot, ideal for unwinding and soaking in the area's rich history. Definitely worth a visit!

It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but it might be an issue for light sleepers.
