We had a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob and Sharon have done an amazing job transforming this historic building into a cosy spot. From the warm welcome from them and Bonnie to the peaceful surroundings, everything felt just right. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages like Thaxted, which are packed with history and beautiful buildings. Definitely recommend taking the time to wander around and soak it all in. Great place!

We stayed at this charming cottage on a working farm and it was surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, were lovely and very welcoming. The place itself is really spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we slept like logs on. The garden is perfect for dogs, totally secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed exploring. Thaxteds restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. All in all, wed definitely recommend it!

We had such a lovely stay in this charming little spot tucked away in a peaceful area. The owners were genuinely friendly and eager to help whenever we needed anything. Its just far enough from everything to keep that privacy, but still close enough if you need assistance. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling. One thing to mention - its right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from planes. We got used to it quickly though and it didnt ruin our trip at all. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at this charming cottage and honestly, it had everything we needed - we didnt have to bring much at all! The owners, Sharon and Rob, were super quick to reply if we had questions. The welcome pack was really helpful, full of useful info and some nice touches for us and the dogs. The enclosed garden was perfect for the pups and the hot tub was just fantastic after a day out. Overall, a lovely spot for a relaxing break. Well definitely be coming back!

The only thing to note is the noise from planes overhead, as its right under the flight path. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our trip at all. We needed a dog walking getaway and it was just spot on. Lovely place to stay, with great pubs and eateries nearby. Plenty of countryside for off-road adventures and the dog refused to get in the car to leave!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage! The place is clearly well looked after and has everything you could need. Our dogs loved the nearby walks and meeting all the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was such a treat. The host was super friendly and responsive. Definitely a great getaway and well be returning soon!

We had a wonderful stay at this good place. The location is just so peaceful and private - perfect for relaxing. The owners are genuinely lovely and always happy to help without intruding on your space. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around. One thing to note, though, is that the cottage is quite close to Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. We got used to it quickly and it didnt ruin our trip, but its worth mentioning if noise bothers you. Overall, a lovely place!

We had a great break. The lodge had fabulous views of the estuary and the spa facilities were great. The staff at reception and at the spa/restaurant were very responsive and helpful.

We had a lovely holiday. We stayed in Ferry Hills, the view is just breathtaking and sitting in bed in the master suite looking out onto the estuary was lovely. The property was well equipped and clean. We used the spa everyday as the kids enjoyed the pool a lot. Only drawback to be honest was the sales staff chasing us trying to get us to either buy a property or a timeshare, on the second day of our holiday we were called 5 times and then several the next day- basically Until we agreed to meet them, kind of put a dampener on our holiday to be honest, it wasn’t what we were there for, we were there to relax.

Absolutely stunning setting overlooking the estuary. The lodge was top quality and the swimming pool and changing facilities were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Superb accommodation with a magnificent view which is constantly changing. A spa to completely relax in with incorporates the view. Fab helpful staff with so much to see and do in fabulous countryside. We will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dylan Coastal Resort. Our sonnet lodge was perfect, quiet and fely very luxury, it had everything we needed including robes and complimentary slippers. A quooker instant boiling hot water tap.
The resort facilities were outstanding and the views were beautiful. Location was perfect, the castle and small town of Laugharne is within walking distance.

Walking distance to Laugharne, great pubs and cafes.
Lots of walking trails from site.
