We had a lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert were genuinely friendly hosts, making us feel right at home. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for Archie - felt very secure for our dog. The location was fantastic, with so many nice walks nearby and Thaxted and other villages are really charming spots to explore. Honestly, we left feeling totally refreshed and relaxed, so wed definitely come back!

The lodge was super comfy and felt pretty posh, which we loved. Only thing is, check-in was a bit late at after 4pm and check-out at 10am was a tad early. Hot tub took ages to heat up too, not till after 8pm. Still, overall, a nice stay!

We just got back from a really nice few days at this cottage. The owners are super friendly but not clingy, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a great barbecue for a cosy evening. The hot tub was a real highlight! Well definitely come back and already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The heating keep cutting off and in minus conditions its not good having to reset boiler everytime you want heating on had to report it to reception engineer came and sorted it I can appreciate costs ect in summer months thats not a problem but again Scottish winter its no use

We had a pretty good stay overall. The place was mostly clean, apart from the venetian blind next to the sink - it was really grimy, not just a quick wipe needed. We were worried that messing with the blind might cause bits to fall onto our dishes or into the food while cooking, so we mentioned it to the staff. The only other thing was the bathroom mirror height; as wheelchair users, shaving was a bit tricky without our own mirror. If they fitted a small mirror tile behind the basin taps, it would make things much easier. Still, its a decent spot with just a couple of tweaks needed.

We had such a great stay at this cottage! The place is super well kept and really well equipped, making it feel homey right away. Loved the walks right outside and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig. The host was lovely and quick to respond. Perfect spot for us and the dogs-definitely coming back! Great value too.

We stayed at this lovely holiday park recently and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. Its perfect if youre after a quiet escape, especially if you like scenery and some downtime. Our kids are under 5 and honestly, I felt the facilities for their age group were a bit limited. Apart from the swimming pool and some evening entertainment, there wasnt much to keep them busy, especially on a dull October week. We tried to book activities early in the week but found everything was fully booked by Wednesday-bit of an epic fail there! The power cut on our second day didnt help either; it meant the crazy golf, jumping pillows and pirate ship were all out of action. The pirate ship seemed more suited for older kids, probably six and up. We ended up exploring Dunoon and found a fab soft play centre run by the local council, which was great for the little ones and very reasonably priced. All in all, a peaceful spot but a bit limited for young kids during off-peak times.

Beautiful holiday park, scenery was lovely and very quiet.Travelling with two under 5s though I felt their age group was a bit under represented, apart from the nighttime entertainment and swimming there was not much for them to do on a dreary October week. As one fell under the minimum age for organised activities, did not try to pre-book until the wednesday morning, epic fail as it was all fully booked. To be fair to Hunters Quay, there was a power cut on our second day, the one dry day we had to fully explore on our stay. We went off on a hunt for the playpark to find three swings and nothing else, if I've missed something would love for someone to point it out. The jumping pillows and crazy golf were off due to power cut. The pirate ship was more aimed at older kids say 6 and above. We ended up in Dunoon at the soft play within council facilities down there, would highly recommend for younger kids and not expensive at all compared to some.

We absolutely loved this caravan! Its like staying in a cosy lodge, really beautiful inside. Beds were super comfy, making our stay perfect. The interiors are stunning and very thoughtfully designed. Honestly, it felt like a home away from home. Well definitely be coming back!

We stayed at the lodge recently and really enjoyed our trip. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see. The facilities were spot on - washer, dryer and all the usual bits you'd expect for a holiday. The hot tub was a real highlight, with robes and towels provided for everyone. Honestly, it pretty much matched what you'd find at similar places across the country. Wed definitely return!

We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was a lovely stay. The village of Thaxted is charming and the cottage itself is really cosy. The hot tub was a definite highlight, especially during the scorching days when it was cooled down, making it super refreshing. The hosts were genuinely friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Being close to Stansteds flight path was interesting too-watching the planes land added a bit of excitement! Would definitely recommend this place.
