Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was fantastic, highly recommend!

We stayed at this lovely holiday park recently and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. Its perfect if youre after a quiet escape, especially if you like scenery and some downtime. Our kids are under 5 and honestly, I felt the facilities for their age group were a bit limited. Apart from the swimming pool and some evening entertainment, there wasnt much to keep them busy, especially on a dull October week. We tried to book activities early in the week but found everything was fully booked by Wednesday-bit of an epic fail there! The power cut on our second day didnt help either; it meant the crazy golf, jumping pillows and pirate ship were all out of action. The pirate ship seemed more suited for older kids, probably six and up. We ended up exploring Dunoon and found a fab soft play centre run by the local council, which was great for the little ones and very reasonably priced. All in all, a peaceful spot but a bit limited for young kids during off-peak times.

Beautiful holiday park, scenery was lovely and very quiet.Travelling with two under 5s though I felt their age group was a bit under represented, apart from the nighttime entertainment and swimming there was not much for them to do on a dreary October week. As one fell under the minimum age for organised activities, did not try to pre-book until the wednesday morning, epic fail as it was all fully booked. To be fair to Hunters Quay, there was a power cut on our second day, the one dry day we had to fully explore on our stay. We went off on a hunt for the playpark to find three swings and nothing else, if I've missed something would love for someone to point it out. The jumping pillows and crazy golf were off due to power cut. The pirate ship was more aimed at older kids say 6 and above. We ended up in Dunoon at the soft play within council facilities down there, would highly recommend for younger kids and not expensive at all compared to some.

We absolutely loved this caravan! Its like staying in a cosy lodge, really beautiful inside. Beds were super comfy, making our stay perfect. The interiors are stunning and very thoughtfully designed. Honestly, it felt like a home away from home. Well definitely be coming back!

Not very clean. Towels stained. Hadnt been hoovered properly. Stains on radiator and food around skirting. Outside needed a good jet wash. Bin is in the wrong location in the kitchen, so annoying walking round into the dining area each time just to get to the bin.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lodge was well-kept and spotless, which made us feel comfortable straight away. The shop on-site was handy and the staff were super friendly and approachable. Plus, Dunoons Morrisons is just a quick drive down the road!

The lodge and the site in general was clean and tidy. The shop on site was useful. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was everything we needed in the lodge and there was a large Morrisons in Dunoon, just 5 minutes drive away.

The caravan was tidy but didnt smell fresh at all. I get its dog-friendly, but stains and that lingering dog smell really put us off. Honestly, we expected it to be cleaner-just a bit disappointing overall.

We had a lovely stay at the gold caravan. The facilities were spot on, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the dishwasher-such a lifesaver! The living space was really roomy and the balcony with mountain views was a great spot to relax. The bathroom setup was convenient, with an ensuite and a main shower. Overall, a really nice place.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. The views were absolutely stunning and the hot tub was spotless and well-maintained, perfect for unwinding in the evenings. The secure verandah was a big plus for the dog-great to let him sit out peacefully. The place could do with a bit of a refresh, but it was still nice and clean. Definitely recommend!

The Lodge is a great size, the sofa was sagging and whole place could do with refreshing but still clean enough - I loved the secure verandah as it allowed the dog to enjoy sitting out. The views were stunning and hot tub was clean and checked daily and perfect for relaxing in of sn evening.

We really enjoyed our stay here, its a great spot for both kids and adults to relax. The outdoor activities like forest walks and swimming kept everyone busy and you occasionally spot a deer wandering around-its quite charming! The bar, arcade, crazy golf and soft play area on the pirate ship were all hits with the kids. The staff are super friendly and helpful, which makes all the difference. Only downside was the beds-ours sank in the middle, not ideal if youve got a sore back. Still, overall, a lovely place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The rooms were beautifully furnished and kept spotless. The pools and changing areas were always clean and the wet bag they provided was a nice touch. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with friendly staff. Perfect spot for catching the ferry and exploring Dunoon. Definitely a place we'd come back to!

We spent 4 nights in a luxury lodge for my 50th celebrations. We complained on return about the living room area. It was extremely tired with sagging sofas and dirty food stained arm rests. The carpet was also frayed in lots of areas and I had to sweep the lino areas and hoover when we arrived. It was not luxury status. I complained to customer services and Im still awaiting a response to my complaints 4 weeks later.

The place was quite cramped for five of us and a dog, with barely any storage for heavy jackets. Only two pots and no carpet cleaning needed.
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 24th March 2024
The decking was flooded, so we had to give it a good hoover. Apart from that, no issues. Very clean and comfy!
