We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage. The owners are genuinely kind and considerate, making us feel really welcomed. The place itself is beautifully maintained, super clean and cosy, with a lovely strong shower and a comfy bed. Parking right next to the cottage was a real plus and we enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, with its pretty half-timbered houses and windmill. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We honestly think this was the best caravan we've stayed in so far. It felt fresh and spacious, which was great for all six of us. The pitch was stunning - a massive grassy area, probably the biggest one we saw, so we felt very lucky. Bedding was comfy and we all slept well. The only thing missing was a larger drying rack; with swimming and shower towels, it was a bit tricky to dry everything! Overall, we're really pleased.

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and really enjoyed our time there. Rob and Sharon have put a lot of effort into lovingly restoring this historic building and it shows. They were so welcoming from the moment we arrived and Bonnie added a lovely touch. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially if you like wandering around charming villages like Thaxted. Definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little cottage. Its perfectly remote but still close enough to enjoy local shops and cafes. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating kept us super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. Well be back soon!

We just got back from a lovely four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were really friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which was perfect. The big fenced garden was great for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed in the kitchen and we even used the BBQ one evening. The hot tub was absolutely brilliant! Wed definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic time! Sharon and Robert were lovely hosts, making us feel really at home. The place had everything we needed, was super clean, comfy and safe for our dog Archie. The location was spot on, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are charming to explore. We genuinely felt recharged after a week of relaxing-definitely a trip to remember!

We had a really lovely time staying here. Sharon and Robert made us feel so welcome, which was much appreciated. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for Archie with good security. The location was spot on - plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted along with other villages are such charming spots to explore. Honestly, we left feeling totally recharged and relaxed. Definitely a break well remember!

We had a great week here from 15 to 22 July with our two mini dachshunds. They loved exploring the village of Thaxted and making new friends. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real highlight-especially during the scorching days when the cooled water felt so refreshing! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even took their horses out to the fields daily, which was lovely to see. Being close to Stansted's flight path was interesting; we enjoyed watching the planes land. Wed definitely recommend it!

We stayed in this lovely wide caravan and it really felt spacious. Without carpets in the main areas, it stayed clean even with sandy, wet kids running about!
