Lots of cobwebs but other than that a beautiful lodge
Date of stay: 27th December 2014
Accommodation type: Red Kite VIP
The acommodation was quite small and the walls very thin, we could hear every word our daughter was saying and she was talking very quietly.
The cabin has everything you need, it is just a bit cramped, may have been better to have made the bedrooms smaller to give more room in the bathroom and front area.
Also - wifi is mentioned but it is actually just a Wifi hotspot near cabin number 1 so if you are far away you can't get it at all, we had to stand outside to pick up a signal - we were very impressed considering we had emailed prior to arrival to check we would be able to get wifi as we wanted to contact family abroad via skype on Christmas day.
The heating is lovely though and works wonders.
Very good. We will be coming back.
Arrived early 2.30 and were told "no problem help yourselves. See you about 4.00 pm for hot tub instructions."
There was a bottle of wine and some chocolates on the table too, very welcoming.
Lodge was lovely and clean. Hot tub was very relaxing.

Date of stay: 10th November 2014
Accommodation type: Red Kite VIP
comfy beds and very warm on the cold nights
everything we needed and more
Very impressed with the accommodation. Nice and spacious for 2 people. The little bottle of wine, soaps and biscuits were a nice and unexpected touch. It was great to have central heating and the bed was also pretty comfortable. The location was convenient to access local shops and explore the area. The rubbish and recycling could be better organised.

The shower could do with being a bit hotter but other than that perfect!!
My wife and I were looking for somewhere to get away from it all for a few days of complete r & r. We were certainly not disappointed with what we found at Heronstone's lovely little Kestral VIP lodge. It was cosy, quiet and despite being part of a small site with other lodges fairly close by, it had a real feeling of total seclusion, especially in the fantastic hot tub at the rear of the lodge on the decked veranda. The staff were extremely helpful and Steve the owner even went above and beyond when my wife left her e-reader behind, by packaging it up and couriering it back to our home address at his own expense. I cannot recommend Heronstone Lodges highly enough if you are looking for a totally relaxing getaway. We will definitely be returning in the near future
Nice quiet location, with excellent facilities. Close to M4 motorway giving access to Swansea, Cardiff and other surrounding areas.
Heronstone Lodges are perfect for a quiet holiday. We went in November and the central heated lodge was ideal for a late holiday, lovely and warm and clean, everything we needed was at hand. Loads of useful information about the area and attractions, proved to be a good base for touring a wonderful area. We would not hesitate to recommend this site.
Good location for nearby walks on the coast or in the hills. Lodge was set in woodland in a nice peaceful location.
The accommodation far exceeded our expectations, generally clean, all the essential items provided, tidy well maintained site, quiet and brilliant location to access local sites of interest.
Relaxing, and loved the hot tub! Nice to get away from it all.
Lovely site, tidy and clean. Wooland all around you, town is a 5 minute stroll. Will go back again.
We had a fantastic time and the holiday was exactly as described, very quiet and peaceful. We tried the local takeaway which was nice and the local pub. You aren't very far from Swansea and Cardiff so shopping was easy. Would recommend and definitely go back on our next anniversary!!
Heronstone Lodges was a beautiful retreat for couples and families alike, recommend totally.
The holiday was perfectly located, perfectly clean and an overall fantastic relaxing break which I will be booking again.
Lovely peaceful retreat, well equipped and maintained. An excellent base for touring the area.
