Those who enjoy hill walking, fishing or simply nature will be in their element here. The surrounding countryside is known as Waterfall Country due to the diversity of waterfalls in the area.  This region attracts many tourists year after year due to the natural beauty of the area.

Fun Days Out in Powys

Treasure Island Fun Centre is situated in the Anglesey area of North of Wales and there is really no better place to take children on a rainy day. The fantastic all weather attraction features a huge array of slides, chutes, climbing frames, ball pools and mazes. Energetic kids can really let of steam while the grown ups can relax in the cafe with a drink and a snack. There are separate areas four younger children to play safely, so no one is left out of the fun.

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

There isn't anything that these VIP lodges are lacking. They are a perfect and beautiful home away from home. The staff are extremely helpful and there isn't anything they won't do for you.

Peace perfect peace. Park is few minutes from all amenities, but you would never know how near every thing is, cos it's such a peace full place, with a good play area for under 12s in the centre, so it's safe and they can always be seen. Can't recommend the park enough.
Sue
Lodge was perfect. Lovely and friendly welcome and lots of info about local walks and pubs etc. Great place to explore from. Not far from swansea and surrounding area and Brecon national park is amazing. So many places to visit just not enough time.
Sue
Had a great time everyone friendly lodge clean on arrival loads of information given of places to see 2nd time of going will go again
Stuart
Great location for a peaceful holiday and still plenty to do out and about had a really great time
Helen
This was a last minute booking, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The Lodge was very comfortable with all the household items you need for a short break. There was plenty of information about the location with details of the different walks / places to eat etc around the area, in the handbook provided. The location was lovely, but there is a short steep(ish) hill to walk up to and from the park that may not be suitable for all. You have to empty your bins and strip your bed too - but in the scheme of things, it was all fine. The best thing about the Lodge was the covered Hot Tub. It was FABULOUS!!!
