Saxon Mound is a rustic lodge park nestled in the heart of rural Cambridgeshire.

Surrounded by stunning countryside views, this small and cosy lodge park offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

As the name suggests, the park is located on the site of a former Anglo-Saxon settlement.

Each lodge is tastefully decorated in a traditional style, with warm, earthy tones to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

Each lodge is fully equipped with all the modern amenities you need to make your stay comfortable, including a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and private bathrooms.

For fishing enthusiasts, the private on-site fishing lake is well stocked with, carp, roach, and tench.

Guests also enjoy complimentary use of the nearby Lawn Fishery which is only a mile away which includes a well-stocked tackle shop.

Saxon Mound offers the peace and quiet of the great outdoors with several walks through the surrounding woodlands.

The nearby village of Elsworth is less than a mile away and features two charming pubs.

Further afield, take a trip to the historic city of Cambridge including an abundance of shops, bars, restaurants and of course the world-famous university.

Lovely lodge, very well fitted out for those with accessibility requirements. Big spacious wet room with plenty of space and grab handles. Theres even ramps to get out onto the decking which is a nice touch. The only gripe I had was that there were no shelves to put any toiletries on in the wet room, I ended up just piling things on top of the toilet and on the seat in the shower, a shelf would be really useful.Otherwise perfect, thank you.

Gorgeous comfortable lodge in a tranquil setting. Extremely clean and was warm and cosy despite cold rainy weather. Lovely countryside location but amenities very nearby and easy to get into Cambridge. We had a lovely few days and would definitely recommend it.

We arrived at Oak Lodge to find a very lovely view opposite the fishing pools which are set out beautifully, with Lillie pads and Bullrushes with other reeds and grasses, surrounded by a covering of woods. As we were in a lodge for the disabled the ramp was ideal and entering through the wide door opening up to a large hallway,we knew it was going to be a good place and wasn't,disappointed. It was very light with plenty of big windows and glass doors leading out to a large veranda overlooking the pools, The interior's,everything just seemed to fit so well with well stocked cupboards and drawers with everything you,d need for your holiday. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable with good sized wardrobes and then the bathroom was ideal in everyway for disabled with plenty of safety bars and shower couldn't have been better with two shower heads. Everything was very clean, fluffy towels and so much room. We met the owners who made us very welcome and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful (a lovely box of chocolates were left for us on arrival) We enjoyed them! We had a fantastic stay so peaceful. So a big ;Thank You; Hope we can visit again soon.
