Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK. The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed. The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
We have just lived in heaven for the last 4 nights and 5 days. A quiet serene secluded site where you are left alone too your own devices with no one bothering you. The lodge has every mod con you can think of and more with a hot tub fed by softened water. Warm and inviting on arrival with your own bath robe and slippers too match as well as your own individual shower and bath as a couple. The proprieters' of Heathside Lodge have nailed it big time so get your spot booked now because like Wimbledon there will be a long waiting list soon.

Lovely place, peaceful in a wonderful location. Highly recommended.
Lodges were lovely, really spacious and hot tubs the icing on the cake! Site was really peaceful and tranquil and was clean and well maintained, the shop has some useful bargains. Would recommend as a weekend retreat else if planning to stay longer get ready to use your car to find things to do, but it's a lovely part of the country so go out and explore!
We had a lovely time during our stay. It would have been great to have a little further infortmation on the walking trails available in our lodge. We attempted a walk and got a little lost!!
Fantastic will come again.

Possibly the best short break in the U.K. my wife and I have had in years, the owners were friendly and helpful, staff too.
Beautiful views and a cheap convenient on site shop, the log cabin itself was stunning and remote which was perfect for the nights in the hot tub with a few bottles of wine, we will be back again next year.
During the school holidays I was working every single weekend and so we could only manage a few days away midweek as a family. I wanted to make it a very comfortable experience for us and so paid a lot more than we normally would for a full week for four days at Heathside Lodges. The two main draws for us were that it was in beautiful rural Suffolk, near Aldrburgh and Southwold, and it had a hot tub. Well the hot tub was gorgeous - I virtually had to prise my wife and son out of it to go home. The lodge itself was well appointed, but not quite as luxurious as I had expected with the amount we had paid. But all in all we had a very comfortable time in a beautiful, sylvan setting.
An excellent holiday. Facilities and location are both superb. My two autistic children didn't want to leave the site some days as the lure of the hot tub was so enticing.
When we did go out and about, the Suffolk coastline offered many fantastic experiences for the whole family.
We have already re-booked for next year! We worth it. Best holiday we have had in years.
Fantastic location and lodge. Far exceeded expectations. Loads to do and see in the local area. The lodge was spotlessly clean and Kitted out with everything needed. Very helpful staff for any quieres. Would like to go back.
We really like the site, the location & the lodges.
The staff were also very helpful & friendly.
Our only criticism was the cooking equipment in the kitchen. Some of it had seen better days & there wasn't really enough. With a young family staying, eating out all the time is not an option, so it is important that the kitchens are well enough equipped to cook proper meals.
Another fabulous holiday at Heathside Lodges
We had a lovely stay. The Lodges were very comfortable and very well equipped. It was peaceful overall, although, having taken Lodge holidays before, we felt that the Lodges were more packed together than on previous sites we've stayed at so felt a little less private.
Notwithstanding this we had a lovely time.
Fantastic lodges , location , only fault was mattress on bed needed changing ,
Excelllent peaceful surroundings, good quality lodges, most spacious we have ever stayed in. Really enjoyed the spa
This was our first time we all stayed in a lodge the last two years we have used the glamping pods but thought we'd upgrade this year as staying for a week and it was so worth it,
The lodge was beautiful loads of space fully equipped with everything you needed, they have a nice play area which the children loved and loads of space for playing football and rounders . Of corse the hot tub was a great plus point to we had a great stay and are going back next year .
We had a lovely family holiday
