In an idyllic setting surrounded by an atmosphere of peace and tranquility these secluded lodges are nestled in 25 acres of woodland and boast five well stocked fishing lakes. Situated between the North Devon towns of Bideford, Barnstaple and Torrington the lodges offer the perfect environment for a relaxing and memorable holiday. There is a sandy beach just 5 miles away with shops and a pub within 4 miles.

The beautiful surrounding woods invite leisurely rambles and are home to an abundance of wildlife and a variety of flora and fauna. Due to the steep gradients and steps Bulworthy Forest Lodges are not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with severe mobility difficulties.

There is a wide range of lodges to choose from. For parties of up to 4 then Otters Holt, Hunters Lodge, Fishers Wood, The Hideaway and Rosebay are nice options with well designed interiors.  The Sycamore lodge also sleeps 4 but has a very secluded and elevated position with lake views, perfect for special occasions.  The larger lodges sleep up to 6 and come with private outdoor hot tubs. These lodges are called Foxglove, Bluebell, Chestnut, The Larches and Oakapple Lodges are recommended for romantic breaks.

My party have stayed in many of the lodge types as we have been to Bulworthy Forest Lodges over numerous years. Foxglove has a lovely open-plan feel to the living areas and the hottub in the porch means no mad dash back inside once out.

A fantastic short break, the accommodation was first class and spotless, and if you like pheasants and wildlife on your doorstep - what a gem!
Mrs D
A beautiful hideaway holiday - I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.
Mrs C
Don’t be disappointed with the size of the ponds upon arrival, the fishing is great.
Mrs J
Excellent cabins (the hot tubs are great) and the setting is very peaceful. Only a short 5 minute drive to Tesco which was a delight as it was never busy in there. Instow, Clovelly and other tourist attractions are just a short drive away. Would be happy and have recommended the place to a few people.
Mrs S
I would definitely recommend the lodges to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet location. Our lodge was well equipped and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday or a quiet base from where to tour the surrounding area.
Mrs E
An ideal setting for a relaxing holiday. A nature lovers paradise.
Mr S
It was a fantastic place to unwind and be with nature itself, great location for all of North Devon's attractions.
Mr D
Bulworthy Forest is the ideal location if you are looking for complete peace and relaxation. It is off the beaten track but not far from the towns of Bideford and Barnstaple. Should be noted that some of the lodges are set high in the forest and the incline is very steep. We stayed in Bluebell Lodge which was high up in the forest, a very spacious lodge having 3 large bedrooms, two double (1 with ensuite) and 1 twin. The lodge was perfect for us as we were two couples holidaying together. The lodge was of a very high standard, very clean and well maintained, would definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending.
Mrs B
Great for families. My children aged 3 and 7 had a great time and loved the freedom and independance that Bulworthy Forest Lodges gave them, plus we were near great days out to the coast and family attractions.
Miss S
Bulworthy Forest Lodges is set in a beautiful, remote location where you feel you're almost in another country, yet within a few miles there are shops for you to get anything you may need. The hot tub was fantastic and kept clean and the lodge was beautiful, homely and well maintained. There was a large amount of provided necessities including all cooking utensils, plates, cups, bedding and towels and BBQ with a seating area. There was a selection of lakes available for fishing and acres of woodland to explore. The staff and owner of the site where extremely friendly and helpful and this really added to the overall experience. I would recommend this location to anyone and would love to return again soon.
