Caravan was comfy and overall was clean. The only downside was the oven had not been cleaned, still had crumbs from previous guest on the floor of it.

The caravan was clean and comfortable which gave us peace of mind after opening up following lockdown. Having decking and outdoor furniture to sit out was also a bonus.

We arrived at chesil vista expecting great things after the easing of lockdown.

On arrival we were handed an entertainment schedule. It listed the on site childrens entertainment and activities going on during our stay.

We arrived on sat and wanted to place an order with the spar shop. We were advised that the onsite shop wasn't open, I'm still confused and to why?! However we were reassured we could order from chesil vista sister site waterside. Great we thought. However what they don't advise until you arrive is that you have to spend a min of £15 for a delivery.

On the Sunday morning after we arrived we went to enjoy the kids wet weather entertainment as it was raining. It was listed as entertainment from 10am- 1pm. Indoor games and baking. My kids, in particular my autistic son was looking forward to this. When we arrived we were given some board games by the kids entertainment team. They denied all knowledge of anything to do with baking and said it was 'due to covid-19' that the baking couldn't take place. This became the phase of the week at this park! By 11am the kids activities were over as the kids entertainment team clearly had better things to do. Yet again, it was a disappointment.

We ploughed on and ordered a sunday roast. The food was dry and awful. Their was a lot of confusion and meals coming out at different times, which isn't ideal when you have hungry kids! We were never offered a menu but asked if a drink was provided with the childrens meal, only to be told no. However if you look at the menus online it clearly states a drink is included.

Childrens entertainment stated their would be a disco at 6pm every evening. Again this didn't happen. It makes me wonder why we were even given a printed schedule of non existent entertainment. Instead they pushed the 'kids bingo' which again was inconsistent. You paid £1 and the first few nights if you won you received a keyring, after which you received a lolly pop. Needless to say the kidalost interest and we learned not to pay attention to the schedule of entertainment.

Before deciding to come on this holiday we were assured their would be 'lots of extras thrown in'... such as boat trips, yoga sessions and loss of family entertainment' of which there was none.
When I enquired about the boat trip no one seemed to know what I was talking about! This seemed to be a common theme.

When my Mother raised a comaint at reception about the kids not receiving a drink with there meal she was told that this was an old menu!

When she complained about the kids entertainment we were quoted 'it's due to covid'... and that she should have a direct word with the childrens entertainment team. Frankly that's not her job. If you print a schedule of entertainment, stick to it!

I feel this park is chaotic, disorganised and they are most definatly 'winging it'
It's only saving grace is the fact its clean. Would never return. My autistic son found it the most confusing and upsetting holiday he has ever had as even though things were written down in black and white they never happened. Huge shame on you chesil vista.

We had a good time despite the weather all week. The location was good, just before the Portland causeway. A frequent bus service ran from just outside the park entrance, should you need it, that took you to the town centre.,

Date of stay: 6th September 2019
There were so many good features that we were delighted to find (and had found lacking at other parks), e.g. a double bedroom with sufficient space to walk each side of the bed; coat hooks in the bedroom and bathroom; a good standard of cleanliness at the end of the season.
Sharon, Hornchurch
Date of stay: 2nd September 2019
Well worth the money would definitely return.

We had a brilliant holiday
Lynne, Gb
Date of stay: 30th August 2019
The caravan was very well thought out in terms of the fixtures and fittings. No problem at all charging your phone! Plenty of wardrobe space and even the extra toilet was a bonus. There were only 5 of us so I'm not sure how it would feel should there be 8 people at capacity. Our only (very small) issue was the size of the grill in the oven - we had to do breakfast in turns and there wasn't a toaster (unless it was very well hidden!). But overall we were very pleased with the accommodation.
