Date of stay: 22nd April 2019
Accommodation was of a high standard, the cottage probably better for 6 people rather than 8 as sofa beds in the living room may not suit all if staying for a week. Access to hot tub was via one of the bed rooms which was a quirk of the layout. Would recommend

We had a wonderful time at your lovely hotel. We had a small issue with the water which was resolved both immediately and satisfactorily and did not make our stay any less enjoyable.
The staff were very well presented and helpful for the duration of our stay and we were very impressed with all of the facilities on offer.
All in all we had a great stay at a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location

overall no complaints whatsoever.
Robert, Newton Abbot
Date of stay: 1st April 2019
Only a couple of things equipment wise that would improve.
1) A few coat hangers in the cupboard so that coats can be hung up.
2) A standing rail of some sort to dry/air clothes.
3) Although crockery/cutlery wise was kitted out ok with 4 of all if using the dishwasher needs a few more so that can be used no more than once per day.

Date of stay: 13th August 2018
Newly refurbished property was great and offered most mod cons. Free Wi-Fi facilities for a modern family are a must and the lack of this needs to be addressed for guests especially at the cost charged for the week.

clean and comfortable cottage ,the welcome pack was a nice surprise. the grounds were very well maintained. would certainly visit again and recommend a very pleasurable few days away
Gillian, Darlington
Date of stay: 25th June 2018
The cottage was perfect. The only problem was the heat and surrounding trees attracted flies, and we had dozens of them in the accommodation when we arrived. Reception staff were very helpful and had a cupboard full of fly spray.
We spent four nights at Whitbarrow with our three children (4, 7 and 9) and we didn’t want to come home! We stayed in a 3 bedroom property (Troutbeck) that was furnished to a very high standard, with a well equipped kitchen, plenty of room for the 5 of us; complete with kids den and hot tub. It was clean and well maintained on arrived. The site is very pleasant and nice to walk around. The indoor pool is unfortunately too small to cope with peak demand, but when it is full you simply put your name on a list. We managed to swim every day and when we did have to wait for a slot it was no longer than 5 or 10 minutes. The pool itself was a good temperature and kids are free to have lots of fun - i.e. no lane swimmers (other than before 8am and after 8pm when it’s adults only). Unfortunately the small kids pool was out of order for our entire stay. The pub/restaurant enjoys a nice setting with views over the fells and the food is good. The kids play room has a table tennis table, but the PlayStation was out of order and the kids (brio type) train table was a bit tatty - the play room could do with some investment. I have to say that the staff were always really friendly and helpful, helping to make the overall atmosphere very pleasant and relaxing. The location of Whitbarrow is excellent - 15 mins from Keswick, 15-20 mins to the M6 and roughly the same to Ullswater, so a great position to visit some great parts of the northern Lakes. Overall we loved our stay at Whitbarrow (our second time of visiting) and will certainly be going back again.
Lovely few days spent at Whitbarrow.Facilities really excellent. Cottage perfect with everything you could possibly need.Bar and restaurant perfect for a quiet drink or tasty snack or meal.Everywhere spotless and lovely friendly staff.Whitbarrow ideally situated for visiting the beautiful surrounding countryside.Cant wait to visit again.Although there was snow on the ground we still used the hot tub each day.
Excellent facilities with clean accommodation.
Had a really nice time! Would prefer the hot tub area to be little more private as you was looking up to the apartments, but other than that amazing weekend!
We loved the newly refurbished Troutbeck cottage with hot tub; some issues with the boiler but these were dealt with very promptly
Great family break. Fantastic base for exploring the Lake District.
Very nice! A few things broken or missing in house and hot tub took a very long time to warm up but overall enjoyed our time there.
Great holiday and fantastic value for money. Would definitely book again.
A wonderful relaxing holiday. The accommodation (and hot tub) was very clean, well presented, and fully equipped. The pool facilities likewise were spotless and we were impressed with the bar, restaurant and games room. It was great that the kids could run around without the fear of cars. We had a great time.
We had an amazing 5 days at Whitbarrow Village over October half term. The cottage (Caldew) was fabulous, the facilities just right and the bar and restaurant just perfect. All in all a relaxing holiday xcx
