Date of stay: 30th October 2017
Bathrooms were a little dark but the lodge was really well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine etc. A little mean with the crockery - although we had a dishwasher there weren't enough plates etc to get through! Small problem though in what was an amazing space to chill out and enjoy the beautiful dales.
So great having the large lobby area for boots etc since this was a walking holiday and we had a lot of boots and shoes!
Graham, Bolton

had a problem with the mattress in the twin room, which staff tried but were unable to rectify during our short break.
Must commend the staff on their prompt return of the coats we left in the lodge when we returned home
Robert, Glasgow

Date of stay: 14th August 2017
This place is amazing, the staff are the best, friendly helpful responsive and nothing is too much. The place is dog friendly, they have cabins pet friendly and separate ones for none pet people :) Daisy ( our dog ) is always welcomed and with a biscuit and a bowl of water and plenty of fussing. The Pub/Restaurant has a dog room so you can book a room separate for dog owners,
The cabins are beautiful, well equipped, spacious, most have a well contained balcony ( ideal for Daisy to run around and be outside but contained )
The Hot Tub is well maintained, they are fantastic hot tubs, been to a few other places and these are the best by far.
location is beautiful with good access to local places, Hawes, Layburn and much more.
This place is the BEST!!!
Thank you for another great holiday, am sure we will see you next year :)

Date of stay: 28th July 2017
Fantastic few days away. Very peaceful. The lodge was perfect. Very clean and spacious. Took our dogs with us, brilliant area for a long walk out. Only downside was that the lodges that are for pets are not fenced off. So would not come back with dogs. But overall the atmosphere and surroundings were perfect for what we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Was a great break for us and the dogs. Would highly recommend. There were no problems and staff are great.
Ideally need a car to get there and visit neighbouring towns.
The lodges are cosy and nice. Some slight updating needed on some of the furniture and shower but the decor is good. Could do with short fence on the dog lodge gardens.
Vicky, Wakefield

Date of stay: 20th March 2017
had a really amazing time. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The on site restaurant is amazing, the food was divine and was locally sourced. reasonably priced too. The location was stunning. Went for a walk along the stream nearby, went to see the animals they had on site. lots of things to do and places to eat within a short drive. The only reason it's not a 10 is we got a semi detached lodge and you could hear every single thing the neighbors did O.O Next time we'll probably spend a bit more and go for a detached one but will definitely be visiting again!
Ruth, Carlisle
Date of stay: 7th November 2016
T.V is on the small side, also no telephone signal so wi-fi would be a great idea! And the sofa wasn't the most comfortable, also rather small so you couldn't lie down and relax on it, but other than that the cabin was great, very cosy! We also thought that there was no microwave, maybe needs explained better?
Geoff, Manchester
Date of stay: 4th November 2016

Date of stay: 21st October 2016

Debra, Doncaster
Date of stay: 14th October 2016
The lodge was well furnished and a great size for a party of 6. Great view of the country side from the hot tub. Peaceful setting.

Only comment I would make is that some attention to cleanliness is required and checks and replacement of broken items should be done before you go in to the accommodation.

We did report it the staff who did replace the items and were very helpful.

This did not and will not put us off recommending or revisiting this lovely holiday setting.
Tricha, Fordingbridge
Date of stay: 19th September 2016
Because there were so many of us I was wondering whether I had made the right decision or perhaps should have taken 2 lodges. But no worries the lodge was massive plenty of room for the children to run around, the decking outside was a bonus as was the hot tub. A nice thought about the wine and chocolates as well as the olive oil!
We looked after the twins on the Saturday and there was plenty to see and do - lots of walks, play area plus looking at the horses and the ducks. They slept well that night.
Nice touch about the complimentary slippers (haven't had those for years)
David, Wakefield
Date of stay: 19th September 2016

Date of stay: 16th September 2016
My lodge was very clean, hot tub was brilliant, the location of the lodges is good easy access to aysgarth falls. The staff were very helpful, inside my lodge there was a welcome pack which contained tea, coffee, sugar, tea-towel, cloth, washup liquid and a bottle of olive oil, also bathrobes, slippers and slippers were available for me to use.

Simone, Fife
Date of stay: 15th August 2016
The Lodge its self was beautful and clean, well presented with everything you might need, set in a very secluded area, however only 15 mintues drive to local villages where you can enjoy pub meals and local markets and so much to do.
The Hot Tubs are the best, they are clean and maintained daily. There are woods and a park for kids to play in, leaving you to enjoy a cheeky glass or two of fizz in the hot tub ;)
one of the most perfect holiday places i have ever been and in Britain too :)
they are very Dog friendly, we have a Great Dane and she was welcomed with lots of strokes and watre bowls to drink from, in the park and most places localy too.
Valerie, Doncaster

Date of stay: 11th July 2016
Spent 3 nights in Oak (32) and was simply wonderful. The cabin was very warm and the whole design / set up was very well thought of and very modern. Although never used was a wonderful surprise of having a Washer / Dishwasher and Freezer in the Kitchen. The food and starter box was a very nice touch. The view was very good and having the rabbits bobbing about on our decking was truly lovely. Two very nice pubs to walk to in Aysgarth which were really friendly and food very good. My suggestion is take a torch for night. Really enjoyed the whole stay and totally relaxed me. I would return and recommend.
Colette, Dunfermline
Date of stay: 11th July 2016
The lodge was lovely and very clean. Had all the equipment you needed. Only thing I felt is a table in the living room would have made it even more homely. In the kitchen there were no serving bowls so I struggled to have salad etc.
Linda

Vicky, Durham
Date of stay: 27th June 2016
Lodge was lovely and clean only thing that let it down was the tree at the front restricted the natural light on a morning and just a few little details such as stains on the lamp shades and only 2 sets of slippers and 2 robes even tho there was 3 of us staying. The welcome box was much appreciated as was the milk and bread.
Marie, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 20th June 2016
We had my friends secret birthday weekend here, staff where lovely allowing me into our lodge before 4pm so I could decorate it. Lodge was lovely warm and comfortable. the Bar was lovely, the whole of the area was clean and quiet :)
Amy, Seaham
Date of stay: 20th June 2016
We had a great weekend in sycamore lodge vip! The place was well presented and very clean. You could see that there was some slight wear and tear to the place, in that the radiator leaked and the bathroom handle fell off during our stay. We didn't, however report anything to staff until we left, as we were only here for a long weekend and neither really effected our stay. The hot tub was also very small considering there were 4 adults staying. It was probably only suitable for 2 adults, however staff were great and promptly filled up the lost water each morning. For the price we paid we were amazed at how great the place was! Would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning.
A tip to others - take your own toilet roll as you are only provided with one for your stay and have to buy extra on site.
Christa, Doncaster
Date of stay: 20th June 2016
Could do with a coffee table in lounge and more mood lighting, small table lamp etc.
Ella, York

Firstly I rang Hoseasons to book this holiday. Georgina the woman I spoke to was amazing and found us the very best deal and an amazing lodge. We have stayed at Westholme lodges 5 times, never been disappointed, the lodges are very clean and the views are beautiful. We again tried the hendersons bar at the top for food, the food was lovely. Will defiantly be coming back! Thank you again hoseasons

The lodge wasn't ready for us, we came on a Thursday, but it took over an hour for the staff to "check" it was ok for us, even tho it hadn't been used. Our only criticism inside was there was no dishcloth/tea towel/wul.....but you'd left us some dishwasher tablets!
Karen, Manchester

Date of stay: 27th May 2016
We got this on a cheap week which helped as I'm not sure if I'd have paid full price. Very nice setting for the site which helped.
Sadly the days we were there they had the police on site on a few times with a family causing a great deal of bother which wasn't very nice which spoiled it for us.
I can't blame the site as it was out of their hands but it did spoil it.
Michelle

Date of stay: 21st March 2016
Having previously stayed at Westholme we found the cabin wasn't quite as plush or homely as the last one. It was however situated in a more convenient spot and had the added bonus of an en-suite and the fabulous hot tub so we weren't disappointed. It was very comfortable and well equipped, only lacking an iron and ironing board though I'm sure we could have borrowed one.
Paul, Nottingham

Well equipped kitchen. Pointless dish washer as there is not enough crockery and cutlery to warrant one. One double bedroom and one twin. Good beds. One bathroom and one shower room. Good towels. Freeview tv with several chanels and a dvd player but had to move the scart lead to change from tv to dvd. Clean and comfortable for up to four people.

We didn't stay in the westholme sycamore vip as we was upgraded due to a problem with the lodge we booked. the lamp in the lounge wasn't fit to use and the spot lights would be better off with separate switches so it isn't so bright on an evening but otherwise fantastic lodge

Date of stay: 11th January 2016
Had an amazing holiday, the place was great, very beautiful and the restaurant was fantastic! Loved the hot tub, which was hot enough to go in pretty much as soon as we got there! The ONLY bad thing was the adjoining door with the cabin next door meaning anytime we were in the living room and the people next door were in theirs we could hear each other word for word, perhaps they should look at soundproofing ideas!?? But once in the bedroom it was silent and peaceful, so it didn't bother us a lot really! Overall we had an amazing stay!

3rd time in the maple VIP - we use the hot tub a lot , it was warm even in the middle of winter , the beds aren't luxurious but fine , the twin room beds would be a little small for adults but fine for children . Everything we needed in the kitchen . Nothing to complain about , everything was clean , and with a crawling baby I'm pretty fussy about the floors

Excellent break again at the Westholme Estate Lodges, this was our third visit this year and everything was great. The coffee table and bedside cabinets could do with an upgrade and ensure that there are two lamps available in the main bedroom for night time reading. Look forward to visiting the estate again soon. Had horrible weather so travelled out and about in the area visiting Bedale, Hawes, Richmond, Leyburn which was great.

Although they stated we would get the key at 4pm it was nearer 5pm. The door was unlocked when we got there, and we could not lock it without going back to reception to be advised, just needs a barrel change. The overall look of the lodge is fantastic but on closer inspection it needs a good deep clean. The shower in the ensuite has mould around the bottom edge and the grouting needs a good steam clean. I bought some mould cleaner and most of it came off, so it wouldn't take long to complete. In general the paintwork needed a good wipe around.
Other than that the lodge was great, in a good position on the park and a great location generally. The best thing was when you had had a tiring day you could get back and get in the hot tub to soothe those aching bones.
Helen, Kirriemuir

This is a real log lodge, and the one we stayed in is quite secluded, so it felt very private.

The hot tub is a great addition, and after a day out walking, it was very relaxing.

The lodge itself is very well appointed with everything you could possibly want.

Date of stay: 7th August 2015
Fantastic holiday for our first anniversary/replacement honeymoon. Only (small) faults I could possibly mention would be the lack of lighting at night and there is no cash machine on site despite the nearest being 7miles away. The location I would not fault however, as on holiday the secludedicated location is ideal. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding towns and villages. Lodge was clean and fresh, comfy clean bed and awesome shower. Hot tub was brilliant and cleaned daily. Helpful friendly staff. Could not fault

Mould in the shower. Filthy under the couch. Floor was moving around in the kitchen. Most unfomfy beds I've ever slept in so had to sleep on the duvet just for some padding. The freeview box was all in foreign and impossible to navigate the menu.

Excellent value for money ,
The only problem we would have liked to have eaten in the onsite restaurant and maybe had a drink , however dogs were not allowed inthe bar or restaraunt which is understandable but you weren't allowed to leave the dog alone in the lodge. I felt it would have been lovely after a long day of walking to enjoy an onsite meal or even a drink in the bar but we're unable to do this, I also feel it affects custom in the facilities as we were unable to use any .

Had fabulous 4 days at Westholme Estate. Lodges in peaceful surroundings made for lovely relaxing holiday. We arrived late but made to feel very welcome. Lodge was clean comfortable and warm with all mod cons. Welcome pack was nice touch. If you want peace and quiet and excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales then look no further. Enjoyed it so much we're looking to book again for the summer.

Date of stay: 16th March 2015
gripes as we were not aware we couldn't take the dog into the on site bar/restaurant or leave him in the cabin, this needs to be made clearer when booking. Their was a fault with the lights in our kitchen and the fan in thebathroom made an awful noise. The cabin had an interlinked door to the cabin next door and the occupants were very loud and we could hear all of their conversations etc.
However overall we had a lovely stay the hot tub was wonderful and secluded enough to use any time. We found the location very central to local towns and villages and we have recommended it to many people and posted lots of pics to social media sites. If I could make a suggestion it would be that the decking is recoverd in artificial grass as that would prevent it becoming slippy and hazardous when wet. If I could afford it we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location with short walk to waterfalls. Lodges have everything you need with stunning views . Restaurant and bar staff gave a great service as well as nice and friendly reception staff. Hot tub a great bonus which children loved. My only reason for not rating full 10 is the oven could do with a good clean and the restaurant/bar a varied menu but neither of these minor issues affected the lovely relaxing weekend break we had. I would definitely visit again.

Great lodge and fab hot tub! Had a bit of trouble with our heating (not switching on when it should) therefore had to request assistance a number of times. Toaster didn't work and we had a few issues with the TV and DVD player (turning the colume up switched everything off!)

Date of stay: 23rd February 2015
Was in a lovely area and the Cani itself was very clean and nice little toiletries and slipper and dressing gowns so they was nice little touches, however there was a couple of craks in the walls and the chairs on the decking was broken, which I explained on leaving and the nice member of staff said they was aware and in the middle of being replaced, that's fair enough but but didn't help when both of us wanted to sit on the decking at the same time. Would certainly go again
Sharon, Yorkshire
Date of stay: 23rd February 2015
There was a lack of kitchen ware for basic preparation of meals. Wooden surround of hot tub needs a good scrub and varnish. The decking area was very dirty so when you got into the tub you took the dirt in with you. On the wall at the back of TV where the ariel plugs in, there was no wall cover for it. Beds were comfy. Layout of lodge was good. Could do with a shower in the family bathroom.
Hazel, Rotherham
Date of stay: 23rd February 2015
The lodge was fantastic - we were missing a couple of glasses but staff were fabtastic at ensuring we had everything once we asked!
The only worry we had was that the site was very poorly lit - rather scary when dog walking late on!
Why aren't there more re-cycle facilities? We had rather a lot of bottles and had to bin them!
Louise, Lincoln
Date of stay: 20th February 2015
Overall the lodge was fantastic.
On arrival when unpacking we found someone else's clothes in a cupboard in the children's bedroom.
Down the sides of the cushions on the sofa there was lots of food debris, as you're not able to access the lodge until 4pm and have to be out by 10am you would think the cleanliness would be better than it was but overall we did not have any huge problems. Well worth the value for money and a real dog friendly site. Would definitely go there again!

Really enjoyed the holiday....the site has a playground for the kids and there is a bar/restaurant where you can eat. There are also some animals-pigs, turkeys, horses that my daughter loved. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and there were some lovely views of the countryside. Only slight disappointment we had was they cleaned the hot tub on our last night meaning we couldn't use it. Only found out when I went out in my trunks and towel:-(

ruined slightly by the bath not working and then being fixed without telling us ( communication!!) and as such we never got to use it. Ridiculous electric oven that turned off every time it got too hot!! I was told by the fent who came to look at it that it was a requirement for the site to have these hot plates...I was told by another camper they had gas....wasnt very happy... but generally facilities are fist class and the hot tub was always perfect! thankyou for that

Lodge is beautiful, but think they could do with some attention, few problems with ours!, lights on outside of lodge did not work, but they left a lamp and extension cable for us, light in cloak room cupboard didn't work, boiler had a problem and made a constant banging noise, and we got a visit from a plumber half way through our visit to say the previous guests complained about it, he checked it out and the pump was broken, but nothing he could do about it, so we had to switch the heating off at night so we could get some sleep. We were missing complementary robes, when i asked at reception so we weren't charged £25 she said they had been delivered as they were checked on her sheet? 2 complementary dish washer tablets were missing, the shower light / radio buttons were burned out with wires behind and the foot spa adaptor was broken so couldn't use, the curtains in the main bedroom don't cover the window in the middle so had to hang a towel, all the radiators had dirty marks on them which wiped off quite easily, there were huge cobwebs all over which were very visible, the windows had marks all over and the frames were full of dirt, the lower oven didn't work, the jets on the hot tub kept coming out, toothpaste on the walls in the bathroom, popcorn (not in a bag) was left in the cupboard, and then i found some down the sofa, and there were game pieces from connect 4 under the sofa which you could clearly see.

We even had the basics to get us started which was a nice touch, milk, bread, tea and coffee. Lovely

Due to the price of the Maple VIP Lodge working out cheaper than hiring a hottub for the weekend the cabin definitely worked out value for money. The cleanliness was almost perfect other than a few cobwebs which are to be expected in a woodland and the grouting in the bathroom could've used a touch up. It didn't bother us personally but some people who have written reviews have been really picky. The comfort of the sofas was okay for a few hours on a nighttime but we got rained in one day so decided to have a movie day and found that the sofas weren't as comfortable as we thought, all our beds were comfortable even for our guest with a spinal injury.

Second stay at Westholme and would certainly return. Standard of finish in the lodge is superb with everything you could wish for to make your stay a relaxing experience. Accommodation was clean and of quite a high standard, a few cobb webs in the bathroom but other than that we had no real issues.

Date of stay: 13th October 2014
Although we deducted one point for cleanliness, due to cob webs hanging from the ceiling to lights, we still think the overall accomadation was very good..

Considering the lodges had only seen approximately 7ish months of use there were a number of niggles which should have been looked at and maintained better. Some items were already looking a little worn I.e chairs, extractor fan. The sliding doors were stuck, the bath was faulty, some light bulbs/or connection were faulty, caked on mildew/ mould on shower head. These things should be regularly check and in the case of the shower... If it's cleaned every week this shouldn't happen surely?

Well maintained, clean and presented.

Overall the lodge was good quality. You could hear the couple in the adjoining lodge but that was to be expected. Once in the bedroom you couldn't hear anything. The kitchen could be more equipped. We had about 8 plates between 2 of us but only 1 glass. Maybe the inventory could be checked more often. Hot tub was amazing.

Our cabin was number 33 - we stayed twice before in number 34 next door so it was intereresting to compare. There seemed to be a lack of bedside lamps in ours - a shame as it meant no bedtime reading or getting our bed to switch on and off the main light. This was in both bedrooms. Not sure if the previous occupants had taken them with them but you would expect a bedside reading light. Apart from that - very well appointed cabins, with nice bathrooms and kitchen.

Wonderful lodge with all mod cons. Our lodge was in a beautiful secluded position with fantastic views - most lodges looked to be in similar positions and of a similar standard and would gladly visit any of them !!! Lodge contained everything we needed for a great holiday.

We had a fantastic family break to these lodges - we stayed in the Layburn VIP and was very spacious, clean and modern. The kids had great fun in the grounds during the day with their paddling pool and walks with buggies - the adults had great fun at night in the hot-tub. the setting was so peaceful and liked the fact we had no signal or internet - proper holiday. Any problems we had they were sorted within the hour. Would love to go back.

We stayed in no 18 for 3 nights and it was very very good in terms of furniture and aditional things like board games and dvds. Then we moved to no 28 for 4 nights, while everything was modern and comfortable the furnishing was quite stark. There were no pictures in loung, no coffee table and no table lamps. Therefore in comparison to no 18 it wasnt as homely.

Patio furniture (wooden picnic bench) not very comfortable! Some sort of comfortable seat (reclining?) would be good.

only marked accomodation down as we had decking with a table that was unusable as it was past its sell by date and no chairs. Paying the amount of money charged surely making sure furniture for the decking is adequate isn't a big ask.

I booked two lodges at the same time, was told one was premium so cost more, there was no difference between the two lodges, Other than a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. Was informed at booking that the premium lodge was larger and had a log burning fire. Not worth the xtra cost

The best accommodation by far of all the other lodges we have been in at Westholme. Uninterrupted views, clean, warm and a fully fitted kitchen.

Date of stay: 26th May 2014
the lodge was really nice, do feel it was a little expensive if we didnt get it when the offers was on, also i dont see the point in cleaners if we have to clean up, strip the bed and remove all rubbish before leaving (what is it that the cleaner actually do then?)

Date of stay: 12th May 2014
Comfy beds , great shower , lodges were truly amazing. Very clean. Lovely location. Two very very minor niggles - no bedside lamps so reading in bed involved using main light and had to fiddle around with scart leads and plugs for dvd player as tv equipment only had 1 lead to share. (It was raining when we went) these were very minor because the holiday was pretty near perfect. We will now use at least once a year !!

Really nice, the only reason ive marked down on the two points, is the sofa was showing small signs of wear and the shower needed the sealant bleeched. Otherwise brilliant, just picky points.

We stayed in a maple superior. There was no hot tub with this lodge but it was something we didn't need.
The lodge was really nice and modern with a balcony and a view across to the hills and the small stream at the bottom.
There was everything in the lodge for a comfortable stay and we would go again.

The lodge was very warm and comfortable unfortunately we did experience some problems with the lodge initially the tv did not work several light bulbs not working reported rectified quickly. We opened the washer door dirty water ran out all over the floor (previous peoples) no mop had to mop up with cloths. Reported this once we managed to find a member of staff. There were large dust webs in 2 rooms (lounge and bathroom) on the last night I started to run a bath but it leaked it got to the point I didn't feel I could report another problem.

The lodge could have had a few more cooking equipment, i.e we only had one glass cooking dish and 2 pans and one saute pan.
Would have been nice if there was an Ironing board and Iron, as we went out and didnt have a chance to Iron out the clothes.
Vanessa, Hartlepool

The only issue with the cleanliness was there were some cobwebs in and around the lodge also the decking just outside the front door was very slippery which our son found out by actually slipping over onto his back, this could of been avoided by putting a non slip coating onto the decking. Even though there was a couple of issues we would definitely book another lodge

We had a lovely time. Enjoyed ourselves immensley. The Lodge was in good condition. It was tidy and clean. The sofa could have been in better condition -a throw was used to cover a massive amount of previous damage. It was serviceable and comfortable though. The location and surroundings were beautiful. The hot tub was brilliant. The lodge was warm. The freezer was in need of repair but it was not essential for our stay. The little shop could have had a few essential supplies. But again, did not detract from the holiday. Local shop in Aysgarth has all you need and Leyburn had the lovely Campbells shop. The bar and retaurant were very good value for money and the food was excellant. All the staff were friendly and kind.
Geoffrey
Perfect! Very quiet and relaxing.
Marian
Excellent service and food in Henderson Bar. Staff were very accommodating to the needs of my elderly mother who suffers from dementia. Thank you!

Fun Days Out near Westholme Estate Lodges

about 15 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
about 18 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!

Here at the Wildlife Oasis you can really get up close to the animals and experience a mix of exotic wildlife and hand son displays.  See butterflies, birds and even bats flying around.  You don't have to plan your visit according to weather either with the tropical hall and butterfly house undercover.  Sunny days are ideal for some of the inhabitants however with the monkeys and Lemurs loving to sunbathe.  The mission of Lakeland's Wildlife Oasis is to engender and foster an interest and appreciation of the natural world which, in our belief underpins wildlife conservation; and, where possible to contribute and encourage contribution to the conservation of wildlife and wild places.  You know that you are helping with this mission if you choose to visit.

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
about 38 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
