Great van for families as it has a bath and a door between sitting area and bedrooms. Leaving the hall light on at night is also easy to do. Ability to extend livingroom to deck is great. My only suggestion would be lamps

Lovely caravan
Date of stay: 31st July 2017
The layout of the van was perfect for 4 adults and 4 children, having two showers and toilets was essential. The washer/dryer a bonus and enabled us to pack less. Great layout!
Jacquelyn, Northumberland
Date of stay: 3rd June 2017
Caravan size was great but arrived to a blocked sink and broken, dripping tap which was replaced very quickly once reported by helpful staff. Oven had one shelf only which was very restrictive to cook meals and grill didn't stay on. However it was clean with all equipment needed for stay for 6 people apart from this.
Tracey, Bathgate
Date of stay: 29th May 2017
More chairs needed on the decking outside as there were 5 of us but only to chairs
Roy, Ingleton
Date of stay: 8th May 2017
We have stayed twice in the Teviot caravan. Nice clean comfortable caravan. The only downside we found was it had mismatch unit in & mismatch curtains & as a self catering van it had only 1 sharp knife which wasn't good for peeling carrots with because it was a bread knife. We do like that it has a walk in wardrobe so you can store all suitcases in there out of the way. Nice & warm caravan, good heating system. A full sized shower was brilliant rather than struggling in a tiny single shower that you can't move in. Good value for money.
Charlotte, Grimsby
Date of stay: 24th April 2017
Great holiday!
Dawn, Maybole

Date of stay: 17th June 2016
The lodge wasn't cleaned when we arrived at 5pm so had to wait for cleaners to arrive. Also, couldn't call reception as it is a mobile network black spot!!!

Date of stay: 6th July 2015
The couch fell to bits on day one. The staff were great at trying to fix it as best they could but it completely fell to bits by the end of the week. Also, the grill didn't work for the whole week, we reported it, but no one came to fix it.
Heidi, Blackpool
Date of stay: 1st June 2015
ee visited Southerness 8 years ago (pre children) and had a great time, second time round and we weren't disappointed. The site is lovely and the facilities are good. The changing facilities at the pool were one of the cleanest I have been in. The soft play area is a great addition (our 2 year old couldn't get enough of it!). Great holiday!
Kim, Peterlee
Date of stay: 25th May 2015
The caravan we stayed in was basic but more than suitable for our needs for the weekend. We had a very enjoyable stay and will likely return in future.
S, Bristol
Date of stay: 8th May 2015

Michael, Brechin Angus
Date of stay: 11th April 2015
would come later in the year a bit chilly/
Margaret, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 3rd April 2015
Good caravan.the double bed was very comfortable with cosy duvets, enough cooking equipment, could have done with a better quality frying pan but otherwise first class

Date of stay: 2nd August 2014
This was our first caravan holiday. There was plenty to do and explore in the local area. Our children loved the swimming pool and the Sid and Lizzie Shows. A thoroughly relaxing week we would highly recommend to family and friends.
Date of stay: 16th June 2014
Good base for touring the area. Excellent value for money.
Date of stay: 30th May 2014

Kim, Dundee
Date of stay: 12th May 2014
Great holiday on all counts. Very comfortable caravan, great facilities, friendly staff and lovely location.
Date of stay: 5th May 2014
We stayed over the May Day weekend. The park and facilities were clean and well maintained. Our caravan was comfortable, if a little tired looking in places. Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant was under staffed and poorly organised, although the staff were pleasant and helpful.
Mandy, Durham
Date of stay: 5th May 2014
Lovely area. Lovely caravan. One let down. We could hear noise either tv or music which we think came from the nearby area with tourers and tents. Even with our door closed it was a nagging noise in the background. It would be enough to put me off returning.
David, Nottingham
Date of stay: 25th April 2014
great place helpfull staff
Date of stay: 21st April 2014
Kids loved pool and lifeguards were attentive and friendly, very pleasant .

Date of stay: 18th April 2014
We couldn't fault the caravan, which was fantastic value for money. Our 1 year old loved Sid and Lizzie, and the dancing, but our 13 year old, although not unhappy, would have liked a few more things to do. Overall, it was a great holiday and we'd love to go back.
Dorothy, Lanarkshire

Fun Days Out near Southerness

Mabie Farm Park is a firm favourite. Ideal for families with younger children ,this family oriented farm park has lots of animals to meet and also offers Donkey Rides, Paddle Boats and Slides as well as Trampolines and Bouncy Castles. Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. Seasonal activities can also be enjoyed including a spookly tea and walk on Haloween. The Farm closes for the winter on October 31st.
about 14 Miles
We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.
about 19 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
about 26 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
about 26 Miles

An outdoor activity center suitable for families. Featuring one of Europe's longest zip wires, jeep driving, grass sledging, archery, outdoor scooters. A mix of fun and adreneline rides and a lot more.

about 34 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
about 38 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
