I have never been in a log cabin before but I am definitely doing it again (have already booked for October half term). It was such a lovely experience. The cabins are luxurious with everything you need. Comfortable beds lovely pillows, luxurious towels. Home from home. Set in such a peaceful setting if you need to get away from it all. The cabins are well fitted out with all gadgets you would have at home. We even had a sauna to our surprise, something we haven't got at home!! I could easily live here it's so peaceful.

Carolyn, Northamptonshire
Date of stay: 29th June 2018
Great lodges and so comfortable
Jane, Ipswich
Date of stay: 22nd June 2018
Very well equipped lodge. All we needed was there. Pleasantly decorated. Only negative is that windows opened to floor meaning not secure at night if open, also prone to wildlife getting in. The Velux roof window in the en-suite could not be left open at night as we heard wildlife ( Probably squirrels) on the roof. Maybe a wire mesh could be fitted? A top-opening window or vents are needed in bedrooms at least as it was too hot.
Ian, Crook
Date of stay: 28th May 2018
I can't say any more than we will return!
Dennis, Barnsley

Date of stay: 29th January 2018
The only negative thing I would say is the carpets could do with replacing they are very tired look grubby which I can understand if people are doing adventure holidays and trekking allsorts into the lodge but certainly wouldn't put me off going again loved the area and the staff were very helpful and friendly

It was a new lodge so all very smart. The dishwasher leaked and did not wash first time but the staff were very helpful and sorted straight away. The blinds let a lot of light in so either need black out blinds or thicker curtains.

We used the park as a base to visit the nearby heritage railways. They were all easy to get to travelling through beautiful countryside and pleasant towns and villages. The country roads are twisty and narrow in places but the local drivers are pleasant and accomodating. The peaks and dales af Derbyshire are very close and well worth a visit.

We had a fabulous, memorable holiday at Sandybrook. Our lodge was spotless, cosy and spacious. The staff in reception are wonderful, the activities on offer are great, along with the instructors. The hot tub made it extra special, we could watch squirrels in the trees while relaxing in the tub. Good sized bath towels, comfortable beds, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid provided, hooks on the doors where you need them - little things that make everything easier. Thank you Sandybrook, I think we'll be back again sometime! My sons would like you to get a climbing wall for next time....

Date of stay: 8th April 2017
Great lodge, quite small and compact but has everything you need. Loved the hot tub which was checked twice daily. Lodge very clean when arrived. The lodge we had was right at the top of a hill, which suited us as peaceful and nice views, but may struggle if have walking difficulties as steep hill. Overall lovely lodge in a lovely area .

Date of stay: 27th March 2017
My husband was blown away when he saw the hot tub, sauna, jet spa bath, big screen tv etc and my own expectations were exceeded! It was very cosy and inviting we were just so excited to spend 3 nights there.
We enjoyed amazing sunny weather everyday so hired a bbq on Saturday (£10 refundable deposit) and nipped into ashbourne for meat, cobs and coal! I had packed snacks, breakfast and lunch supplies but was gobsmacked at just how many things were provided in the lodge, every time I thought oh no I should have brought this with us, it's like it magically appeared in a drawer or cupboard! The fridge was actually set too low so we did have to defrost a few things.
Full use was made of the relaxing hot tub (and sauna) and we were never disturbed by the staff coming to quickly perform checks. Although we were overlooked by 2 other lodges it still felt fairly private, everyone kept themselves to themselves.

I don't sleep well away from home, but have always slept well in the hoseason lodges. The beds and as importantly the pillows are so comfortable.
There is everything you need in the lodge to cook, relax, shower and sleep. We particularly look forward to using the dish washer, tablets provided, which I know is a bit sad, but it's something we don't have at home :-)

The lodge we stayed in on both occasions is of very high quality, everything is clean and tidy and very well maintained. .
One down side is that the decking would benefit from some TLC but that didn't stop us having a BBQ every night and breakfast al fresco.
Would definitely recommend a visit.

Date of stay: 10th June 2016
Wonderful family holiday in beautiful quiet surroundings. The lodges have all the essentials you need for self catering. Washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel also include. We also had some sachets of tea, coffee and milk on arrival in our lodge. Towels and linen are provided and lovely are clean. The hairdryer was great and not a small travel one. We had some difficultly fitting in our travel cot but once we managed to juggle the furniture about it fitted in. There's plenty of local shops close by for getting food so there was no need to take any food with us. Would highly recommend a visit to the deli for some amazing cakes. Ideally located for Aton Towers and Ashbourne Farm Park. The pool at Sandybrook Lodges was enjoyed by all the children but was a little cold so they didn't want to stay in it too long. We all enjoy the little walk to the wishing tree to leave our wishes, mine would to be to return to Sandybrook Lodges again soon.

Although the Wi Fi worked for our mobile phones there was no connection available for our IPADS. We checked many times and when one did show we were still unable to connect, even after your assistant reset the Wi Fi nodule for the lodge. He suggested that there was an historical problem with apple based units. Everything else was superb!

Fantastic break with friends in the stunning Derbyshire countryside. There is so much to see and do around Derbyshire and the Peak District, most of which is reasonably priced or free. There are numerous places to eat out, with good quality food at affordable prices, we ate out every night. Go Active activities are very sensibly priced too, so lots to keep the children entertained. The pool is a fair size and both the pool and the changing rooms were lovely and clean. Can't wait to visit again!

Date of stay: 2nd November 2015
My partner and I enjoyed our first break away from the children at Sandybrook. The accommodation was above expectations and the park staff were informative and friendly. It was a good base to explore the surrounding towns and villages with plenty of activities and walks to go on. We were slightly disappointed with the Go Active aspect simply because we found that some of the activities were weather dependant and experienced a cancellation due to this. However, to make up for this we were offered alternatives and we have both said we would definitely return.

We chose a lodge with a private hot tub as we knew we would use it after a long day's walking.
It would be useful to have dressing gowns for adults in these lodges as when we have stayed at a lodge elsewhere previously, these have been provided.

The Cabin was lovely and so warm despite not having any heating on at all for the whole week. My only comment would be that it would be nice if you had either Vertical Blinds or Nets in the Windows as you want to open the blinds but depending on whereabout on the site you are people passing by can see straight in the bedrooms, so you end up leaving the blinds down for privacy which makes it quite dark inside.

Date of stay: 20th March 2015
This was a well positioned Lodge high up to give a view over the park and beyond. Very clean and tidy and well equipped. This lodge has a sauna and a spa bath which was an added luxury but as there is a sauna within the pool complex it was not necessary to have one inside the lodge as well although it gave a bigger bathroom than some of the other lodges. It would have been very useful to have a shelf or cabinet over the sink area in the bathroom as there was nowhere to put any toiletries. We used the heating system as it was cold at night but the lodge warmed up very quickly and stayed warm. Very good for a couple to stay.

Date of stay: 19th December 2014
Modern, clean accommodation with great facilities. We would definitely recommend getting a lodge with a hot tub for that added bit of luxury
Yvonne, Amesbury

The cabins we stayed in were brilliant. very spacious and had everything you needed for a stay, they are well spaced out and you don't feel like you are on top of one another.

Date of stay: 10th November 2014
Just two points about the facilities in the lodge. The shower pressure was very poor and the lighting in the bedrooms was also a little too dim.
Maxine, Hull
Date of stay: 31st October 2014
The cleanliness and facilities in this lodge are of a high standard. Wasn't keen on the TV being on the wall but we wasn't in the lodge for long periods to watch it for too long anyway.
Angela, Kent
Date of stay: 27th October 2014
loely Lodge, would stay in one again. Plenty of room for everyone and having 2 bathrooms was very useful, just a shame we didnt upgrade to a Hot Tub

Date of stay: 6th October 2014
The only negative I have is lack of convenience store but otherwise lovely place. We had a problem with the second shower and within 5 minutes someone had come to fix it.
Coleen, Bristol
Date of stay: 26th September 2014
The only downside is that we didn't have a lodge with an outdoor hot tub. Unfortunately during our stay, the hot tub in the leisure centre was also out of action. Other than that everything was great
Christine

Date of stay: 8th September 2014
lodge was great. the only negative things were the wifi and the shower wifi , which was very weak and can not connect from inside the lodge only from the porch or around the park and not everywhere either. personally wifi is very very imortant due to my work and the same for the people that travelled with us. the shower system was a disaster , no control what so ever on water temperature loose handle and support for shower (seemed like it was coming apart.)
Grace, Derby
Date of stay: 5th September 2014
Lodge was like new, clean and had everything you need. Hot tub was an added bonus. Some lodges were more over looked than others.

J, London
Date of stay: 18th August 2014
A few extras could have been provided e.g. more toilet roll, kitchen foil and dustbin bags for kitchen bin. It would also help to have 2/3 bins in the kitchen so the recycling waste can be sorted easily.
Catherine, Herne Bay
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
The lodge was really well equiped with everything we needed and the beds were the most comfortable we've had away from home! The lodge was spotless on arrival I didn't need to clean every surface before using them (I have had to do this on numerous occassions).
Janey, Birmingham
Date of stay: 11th August 2014
It is a bit expensive but then you get what you pay for.

Date of stay: 28th July 2014
The lodge itself was lovely, very clean and quite secluded even though it was in the middle of the park. It was tastefully decorated and surprisingly spacious.
Karen, Blyth
Date of stay: 26th July 2014
Lodge was superb and very clean. Only complaint would be that the cupboard above the oven was warped with the heat and didn't shut properly and then the screws came off, leaving the door hanging. However staff came and fixed it within 20 minutes.
Helen, Glasgow
Date of stay: 25th July 2014

Martin, Doncaster
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
This was a beautiful park that gave my wife and I a fantastic break and we never wanted to return home, we stayed in lodge 63 which was a lodge for 2 with a non over looked hot tub, a sauna and spa bath in the bathroom with a separate shower. Very comfortable bed, TV in bedroom, stereo, etc. I can not say enough about this park,
Lorraine, Cambridge

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandybrook Country Park, the lodge was simply stunning and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Our party consisted of two families with both pre school children and teenagers and lots of fun was had by all, we cannot wait to return. Thank you Sandybrook.

Anne, Gainsborough
Date of stay: 21st June 2014
Spotless in all areas, no real issues. Carpet had some marks but as our lodge was one used by dog owners this was understandable. This did not affect our holiday!

Date of stay: 13th June 2014
Great accomadation with everything you needed provided. Best accomadation I have had on a holiday. Extremely clean too. Excellent
Johanna, Whitstable
Date of stay: 31st May 2014
The accommodation was excellent even though we were in accommodation designated for people with dogs. The lodge had everything we could possibly require for the week except for a washing machine, we were not expecting one either so no problem at all there is a launderette on the way into Ashbourne. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The main bedroom has traditional double bed, which may be an issue for some. The furniture and fittings were good. We were really pleased with the Lodge and would recommend it to others.
Conrad, Barnsley
Date of stay: 31st May 2014
Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Good TV and dvd player. If I was being picky I would add that Bluray is required these days as well as a stereo that plays MP3 but hey - you are on holiday not staying in to watch telly
Jo, Measham
Date of stay: 30th May 2014
Lodge was immaculate. We had a small sauna in our bathroom which was a real treat. Also a whirlpool bath which my son loved! Home from home!

Vanessa, Leicester
Date of stay: 5th May 2014
Would prefer a lodge that doesn't take dogs.
Lucy, Northampton
Date of stay: 5th May 2014
We had a broken glass and broken shelf in the dishwasher on our arrival. Also the light on the decking was at the opposite end from the hot tub so when one of our party got out at night she couldn't see as it was so dark, she slipped and hit her head. The decking was also so narrow that when you sat at the table you could not get past to get to the hot tub.
Geraldine, Hessle
Date of stay: 3rd May 2014
A good sized lodge for six adults and one baby. The only criticism is that the cot would not fit into any of the bedrooms? We had to put one of the single beds on top of the other one. It wasn't a problem for us but had there been eight of us we would have struggled.
Liz, Burntwood, Staffordshire
Date of stay: 25th April 2014
Exceptionally clean and well maintained lodge. Outdoor hot tub was brilliant. 3/4 bed in main bedroom was the only downside. A bit cramped!

Date of stay: 10th March 2014
We booked high chair that was not in accommodation and I feel that whilst charges are minimal it is a source of irritation that these are not provided gratuitously.

Stephen, Portland
Date of stay: 7th March 2014
Ideal accommodation for a relaxed break. The lodge was spotless and immaculately tidy on arrival with everything you could need catered for. Comfortable beds and stylish but functional furnishings enhanced the releaxation factor. The icing on the cake is the decking with hot tub (ready for use on arrival and maintained twice a day) - a touch of luxury. Overall top class accommodation.

Our accommodation was really good with enough space not to be on top of each other. I liked the idea of two bathrooms which meant there was no fighting for bathroom space.

A well-equipped, modern, clean and comfortable lodge. The beds were great too. Our only complaint is that the cost went up a lot just because we went in February half-term.

Paula, Manchester
Date of stay: 12th January 2014
Beds were made up, towels ready, heating on. We were really pleased with the standard of cabin spaciouc enough for a family of 4 there was even a radio alarm clock (not that we needed it) all amenities in the kitchen easy to use and everywhere was very clean.
Janet, Feltham
Date of stay: 10th January 2014

Date of stay: 6th January 2014
Comfortable lodges with everything needed for a few days away.
Tracey, Rotherham
Date of stay: 25th November 2013
Almost perfect throughout! We booked the one bedroom lodge with Hottub and sauna plus jacuzzi bath and separate shower. The sauna hasn't got much leg room for one of you, but nice to have it to yourselves. My only gripe was the mattress wasn't that comfortable. A quilted mattress protector instead of the waterproof terry one would have made a great help. It wasn't up to the same high standard as the rest of the lodge. I did leave this as feedback to them. Wouldn't hesitate to go back though.
Leigh, Sutton Coldfield
Date of stay: 18th November 2013
Accommodation was great. Plenty of room. Dishwasher top rack was broken. But that was the only fault.
Denise
Very nice lodge. Did not think much of the sofa in the lodge. The swimming pool was really quite small but big enough to have a swim. I am glad that we didn’t opt for a hot tub lodge on this site as they did not seem to be very private. But all in all a nice relaxing time.
Sarah
Staff were very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we had all the information we needed. Would go there again. Whole family relaxed and enjoyed the trip away.
Keeley
Very nice lodges excellent restaurant and facilities Good location
Caroline

Sarah

Absolutely loved this place- staff very friendly. The lodge was spotless. So clean you could eat your dinner off the floor! The only negative thing I can say, we booked for a hot tub but didn’t get one 😪
Jennifer
Fantastic place for telaxation
