Romney Sands

Kent » New Romney

Immerse yourself in the great outdoors at Romney Sands.

Close to one of Kent’s best beaches, right between Greatstone Dunes and RSPB Dungeness Nature Reserve, and near to the wildlife-filled Romney Marshes, this natural hide away offers endless adventures.

There’s loads to do on park, from tennis to crazy golf.

Plus, there’s also an adventure playground to keep the kids happy, and of course, two indoor swimming pools.

There’s even a fishing lake so you can grab the catch of the day.

In the evening you can enjoy a tasty meal in The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant and enjoy an array of amazing shows for the whole family.

The park is moments away from the soft, golden shores, and wildlife-rich dunes of Greatstone Beach – making it ideal for classic seaside activities, water sports or a little uninterrupted relaxation.

Head further along the coast and you’ll discover attractions like Camber Sands, a dreamy 7-mile long beach and quaint medieval Rye

Date of stay: 12th May 2017
the carvan was fine, when we arrived we had some toast and the toaster tripped the electrics, the next morning it happened again, so i phoned reception and within minutes a man came and replaced it. everything else was fine

One of the best caravan s I've ever been in.

Date of stay: 3rd September 2016
Caravan was lovley great value for money close to beach It was spoilt by swearing families having domestic fights most nights and police were called several times during the week
Emma, Lincoln
Date of stay: 14th May 2016
Caravan was one of the best we stayed in clean and very comfortable and spacious would definitely stop in a Seaview gold plus 3 again

Very clean and warm

Date of stay: 16th April 2016
Good accomodation but it would be even better to have the possibility of sitting outside.

More attention to cleaning would be beneficial. The parquet flooring is really good but needs to be properly rinsed after cleaning. In a Gold Plus we would expect ( as we had before) to have chairs rather than stools at the dining table. But the size of the fridge/cooler was good. All electrical and gass appliances worked perfectly. Over all we would definately recommend to others.

As we took our little dogs with us we knew we would be staying in one of the older caravans and didn't expect too much. But after arriving at 2pm by (our)mistake and not being allocated our van until 4.20pm we didn't expect it to still smell doggy with a wet patch outside the toilet ( which didn't dry all the week) but the reason we didn't complain was of course the excellent price. But I'm afraid the cooker did need some cleaning which was unexpected.

The cooks said that some kitchen items not all that but I do not get involved in cooking so do not know. Staff quick to help when gas ran out very on the ball!! Very cheap week so no complaints. We never go back to any place too much to see other places.

Date of stay: 17th April 2015
Only grumble with the caravan was in the main room there were no lamps so it was bright spotlights or darkness which was annoying at nighttime. The caravan was impeccably clean and spacious however so only a minor grumble.

Caravan was so lovely and clean . My son who has autism and severe OCD was with me and not once did he panic about dirt or germs.

Shame about the next caravan who played very very loud music until 4 am with lots of shouting and banging so we only stayed 2 nights instead of 3.

Great mobile home, very comfortable generally though the mattress was terrible with springs stick in me all night. Luckily there was a spare duvet to put over the top of it to make it more comfortable. Could also do with a bit more ambient lighting, either that or just bring your own lamps.

Someone in the past had had a sly fag or two. We're both non smokers and the smell hangs around.

Caravan was lovely and clean, would of been nice to have the bed made and not just cover placed on bed and you have to make it yourself (late arriving and long drive the last thing you would like to do).
Didn't have got water in the shower and after having 6 different people to look at it (one engineer saying just run on the spot in the shower to keep you warm!) Just had to have a very Luke warm showers not the best in cold weather. So not great value for money.

Caravan was immaculate absolutely no complaints, but it was a gold plus 3.

Nice position right on the see front but shame about the cleaning and the welcome

A lovely well run site in a lovely spot. Perfect for young families, but we struggled to entertain a 13 and 12 year old

Date of stay: 18th July 2014
very nice and clean, but not enough for the older children to do, think they should hire our bikes and deckchairs for adults to sit outside the caravan.
Rachel, Epsom
Date of stay: 30th June 2014
Beautiful location right by sea wall so many an hour spent by little boy playing on the shingle beach. Reasonably priced club bar but very lance entertainment. The gold plus caravan was very large and spacious but lacked any style so felt a bit dated in some ways but was clean and comfortable and very well maintained. A fantastic location nice walks and a family friendly pub a few mins walk away make this a great location - we'd return but a kiddies disco would've made it for my 2.5 year old instead of poor offerings by some very harmless "entertainment team" but certainly that didn't spoil the break too much!
Tarquin, Chesterfield
Date of stay: 30th May 2014
Gold caravan , some of the holiday makers were noisy early in the morning from 7am
Susan, Chippenham Wilts

Keith, Aylesbury
Date of stay: 16th May 2014
A very clean site in a great setting, our home was very clean and comfortable. Easy access to car parking on a very good bus service outside the site.
On the minus side the swimming pool is very small and not large enough for the numbers of homes, clubhouse is good entertainment is poor , link up bingo slow and tedious ..
Jean, Witham
Date of stay: 2nd May 2014
We booked this last minute and got a very good price. It was a pleasant surprise to be given vouchers for the restaurant for free meals/drinks, something we haven't seen before. We were happy with the location, few minutes walk to beach and good walking access to Whitstable and Herne Bay. Staff all very polite and happy which made all the difference.
Bryn
Great site, decent caravan, ideal location. Back soon.
Pauline
We really enjoyed our stay, great to be near the Sea and able to walk along the coast into Whitstable. The site was clean and the staff very helpful. We will definitely be going back.
Claire
We've stayed at seaview a few times now and ITs always lovely. I feel caravan holidays can be overpriced especially in school holidays. Also our TVs froze on and off over our stay and finally stopped working on our last night so we had to watch a DVD. We informed reception on when we were leaving so this wouldn't happen to the next guests. The caravan was lovely though
