Visitor Reviews of Riverview Holiday Park

Date of stay: 9th April 2024
This break does exactly what is described. It's time away from everything for couples and families alike. It is in a very remote location but that is described in the blurb so that's to be expected. I personally felt the price was steep considering check in wasn't till 4pm and check out 10am so essentially you pay the price for one day. The shower in our pod didn't work the full time we were there. When we complained it was fixed quickly however the fix was for us to come out of the hot tub and go to the pod behind and use the shower there. Less than idea with 3 kids. Also we were then unaware if we could also shower there the following day or if that was just for that day. It also meant moving toiletries and things between pods and walking about the park in swim wear. Do this dampened our experience. Over all the break does exactly what it says its a rural break in lovely countryside to unwind and detatch from technology. Pod was clean and tidy and well kept. Hottub was fairly well maintained the cover for the pump lifts up and down and bobbs around a bit making it a bit of a draw for our kids so we had to block that from their site. Otherwise it was a lovely break away.

The location was beautiful. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The only negative was the WiFi didnt work although the staff tried and gave us a booster it also didnt work. But other than that it was perfect. I would recommend visiting if youre looking for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was amazing also.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing break in lovely surroundings this is for you. Husband is a fisher so was delighted to be able to fish whenever he wanted. Lodge was spotless and had everything you could think of. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Cleanliness marked down because of unwashed coffee mug in cupboard. Odd that there was only one toilet roll provided, we bought our own while there.

Great holiday here in November 2019. Came back again in January 2020. No disappointments.
Lovely lodge, immaculate condition.
Very comfortable, warm and cosy even though it was cold outside.
Pauline is lovely, and good for local knowledge and places to visit. Road closures etc. She also comes to check if everything is good and if there are any problems, which we thought was really good of her given the weather.
We can't wait to visit again. Would highly recommend although it pains me to say so as it could be so popular we might be unable to book.

Beautiful lodge. Immaculate and so comfortable. Kitchen was amazing. Enjoyed cooking when it was cold and rainy outside, pots and pans great size. As was the crockery. Lovely, warm and cosy inside. Lodge very spacious for 4 adults. Picturesque surroundings of hills and river. Didn't want to leave as it was so relaxing and peaceful.
Pauline was very helpful, gave us directions to places round about, information on roads closed due to flooding and alternate route. Came to check everything was okay for us, that we were settled in and if there was anything we needed. Also gave us her contact card in case we needed to get in touch for anything.

Very nice lodge, very personal preference on comfort but personally we found it quite comfy on the whole although bed was a bit too soft! Shower lost a lot of pressure if someone were to run water in Kitchen.
