The stunning setting of Riverview Country Park is next to Forres, one of Scotland's oldest small towns, and about 27 miles from the Highland capital of Inverness. From beautiful walks and fishing, to playing golf, hiking and mountain biking, there's lots to do and you'll find wonderful scenery, beaches and historic landmarks in this part of Scotland.

The area is steeped in history - from Clava Cairns, a set of pre-historic burial cairns, to Ballindalloch Castle, the 16th century building that's been the family home of the town's lairds since 1546. A few miles away, Brodie Castle has 71 hectares of landscaped gardens - you can take a stroll along the River Findhorn and find the perfect spot for a picnic.

Relax and enjoy the views from your own private outdoor hot tub when you stay at Superior Lodge 2, a luxury lodge with one double bedroom and one twin. There's space in the living area for two more people so it comfortably houses six and has a flat screen TV, a dishwasher and washing machine. It's also centrally heated, just in case the nights turn chilly!

Forres is home to a number of craft shops and art galleries and hosts some popular cultural events, including Culture Day, a carnival that celebrates local artists. There are some beautiful walks around Inverness - and the fabulous Castle overlooks the River Ness. And no trip to Scotland would be complete with a distillery tour - Glen Ord makes a magical malt!

Date of stay: 23rd December 2016
An extremely well appointed lodge with everything you could wish for. Only one criticism and it's very slight, the knives in the knife block were so blunt, they wouldn't cut butter.
A nice touch, as our visit was the week before Christmas, there was a Christmas tree in the lodge.
The outdoor hot tub was awesome!

Date of stay: 20th November 2015
Great lodge with good amenties. Fully equipt kitchen only thing missing is a washer and dryer. We stayed in a 4 person lodge, the master was a good size although the twin was rather small. Adequate for children but too cosy for adults. The hot tub was a great added extra it was quite shallow compared to other tubs ive used but for the 2 of us it was perfectly nice. Nothing else on site at the moment. There are big plans for next year which look great but this didnt bother us as we like a quite and secluded location. The staff on site were friendly and accomodating of any needs. There were 2 supermarkets within 5 mins driving distance about 20 mins walking. The nearest pub is about 30 mins walk in the centre of forres which is a great town and there are many site seeing attractions near and far.

Date of stay: 30th October 2015
The lodge was so warm and cosy. we found it so relaxing and stress free, especially with the anytime use of the spa pool. Also the modern yet easy to use kitchen facilities were a great feature to make to lodge seem very upmarket for a reasonable price.

We had a brilliant stay at Riverview Country Park. Excellent value for money. We stayed in a Deluxe 3 lodge with 7 of us staying, was quite tight for space - rooms small, but all very clean and in great condition. Loved the decking, was hot when we were there so spent a lot of time here. Hot tub was great - comfortably fits 3/4 people at a time. 6 people in at one time was a little on the cosy side!

Only one thing would suggest would be for a fan in lodge as it gets very hot inside, especially when it is s hot day. Roasting at night!

Would def return here. Handy for nipping into Forres to Tesco, only 5mins in the car.
Pam, Dumfries

Everything was brilliant, the only negative we have was the curtains are quite thin in the bedroom and the light comes in room at 4am but we just put towels over them and this solved the problem
