Ritec Valley Cottages

Ritec Valley Cottages enjoy a quiet location in the Pembrokeshire region of Wales - simply stunning by anyone's imagination.  The cottages themselves are very peaceful and yet just under a mile away from St Florence, a quaint local village

We absolutely love the working farm location, both unique and charming with 145 acres of land.  This is the ideal location to explore the surrounding area, where you will be blessed with plenty of well known attractions.

The cottages themselves are of an excellent standard, you can tell from the moment you enter that lots of TLC gone into the presentation and special touches.  In fact the whole place as a welcoming atmospshere - giving a feeling of home from home.

The high spec interiors ooze quality and one cottage has an outdoor hot tub, make sure to book this one for special occasions, it really adds a touch of luxury to your stay.  It's called Hunters Hollow and is a beautiful two storey cottage with lawned garden and outdoor hot tub.

Tenby is a gorgeous resort on the coast and really close to the lodges for days exploring the narrow streets, cafes and gift shops.

You could take a trip to the famous Harbour beach which was actually named as ‘Europe’s number one beach in 2014’. Boat trips are available from the harbour to the island of Caldey where you can visit the Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks.

Other fantastic attractions in this area include A visit to Pembrokeshire would not be complete without a trip Oakwood Anna’s Welsh Zoo and Folly Farm home to Wales very own colony of giraffes and Lions - both of these brilliant attractions have won awards, and would make excellent days out for families.

A great cottage, although the stair case is very noisy, be aware that one bedroom is downstairs through the kitchen which may be difficult for families with young children.

Our holiday at Ritec Valley cottages, Hunters Hollow cottage was very good. The cottage was clean and spacious for 6 of us, had good size bedrooms and comfortable beds. We enjoyed the hot tub and the tranquil setting. It was only a short walk away from the pretty village of St.Florence. The location was perfect, being only a 10min drive to Tenby and close to so many other good attractions. We found the owners very friendly and helpful, and overall we thought it was good value for money. We'd definitely stay there again.

The cottage looks great from the outside. It has a nice new stone feature, including archway. The rooms are spacious and nicely finished. Well stocked kitchen. Good sized back garden and huge field next door. The kids loved playing in this.

stayed in Hunters Hollow from the 6th July for two weeks with my husband and 2 daughters Charlotte 18 and Heidi 16,cottage is beautiful and very well equipped with everything that you could want . The bedrooms are large with plenty of storage and the bathrooms and kitchen were extremely clean. My daughter Charlotte has autism and conversion disorder, Heather the owner allowed her to feed the orphan sheep every morning which she loved . Hot tub was checked daily and the temperature was just right.
Used the laundry it is well equipped with washers and a dryer. Had a fantastic holiday in an amazing setting thank you Heather will see you again.

Tree tops is a lovely clean well equiped cottage. The owners had done some work on it since our last visit. There is soon to an addition of a hot tub which will be lovely.
We took my mum along with us this time and she was very impressed with the cottage.
We all had a great time.
Irene, Carnoustie

Excellent all round.

Date of stay: 19th May 2017
Keepers cottage is the smallest of the cottages on offer and I believe the only one that is dog friendly. The cottage itself consists of a wide hallway, ideal for muddy wellies etc, 1 double bedroom (with direct access to the bathroom), a single bedroom and a kitchen/dining/lounge combined. The cottage was homely and extremely clean - no signs of previous dog occupancy! A throw is supplied specifically for the dog to sit on the sofa.
The double bed was very comfortable and again bed linen, towels etc were top quality. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need (including a torch, sewing kit etc) and the fridge has a small but separate freezer compartment. Wifi was very good, although TV signal kept losing BBC1. Shower was electric, but not very powerful. These were the only very minor negatives and did not spoil our enjoyment of the holiday. Would definitely book again!

A lovely cottage with everything you need including a hot tub, in a peaceful location, great for a relaxing break, but only a short drive into Tenby or Saundersfoot. Owners very welcoming and friendly, appreciated the welcome pack especially the fresh milk and welsh cakes. A great holiday.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Tree Tops Cottage. The cottage itself was spacious, well equipped and extremely clean. The lady who owns the cottage was really friendly and welcoming. She heard that my friend's little girl loved animals so took her to see some new born lambs, and introduced her to some beautiful dogs that live on the farm. We were also given some homemade Welsh cakes and tea and coffee facilities to help us settle in. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and would definitely recommend Tree Tops Cottage.

The cottage was lovely. It is very spacious, clean and well equiped. As the weather had gotten colder by a few degrees the owner had put the heating on which was a nice touch.

Fantastic break in well appointed two floor cottage. Private hot tub was superb.

Date of stay: 2nd September 2016
Absolutely spotless on arrival, the owners ensure everything is as expected and more. I've stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world I have high expectations even for a weeks break in a rural cottage but this was simply out of this world. Welsh cakes, milk, tea and sugar in the cottage when we arrived, a heated pool big enough for 10, new bed linen and fresh towels, even swans made out of towels on the bed, good wifi, and a real home for a week.
The surroundings were so quiet at nighttime surrounded by Shetland ponies you could feed and cows and sheep in adj fields.
Only 10 minutes from Tenby and 5 minutes from the best attractions
I would go again and next time for two weeks. With 4 different cottages on site this caters for couples, families and even larger families.... Can't wait to go again
Christine, Bristol
Date of stay: 22nd July 2016
The cottage was beautiful. It was large and comfortable. Could not fault the cleanliness.
The garden was serene, so quiet with just sheep and birds as neighbours.
Lots of little touches that make life easier.
Swimming pool at the bottom of the drive was lovely and welcome.
Would not hesitate to recommend this lovely cottage and the welcoming family who own the cottages.

Lovely little cottage in lovely quiet surroundings. Added bonus of wifi. Hot tub was a big hit and used daily. Most comfortable beds we've slept in away from home. Cottage had everything you needed.

I spent 4 days over half term at Keepers Cottage with my husband and 13 year old son. We had a great time - cottage was cosy and equipped for our needs and the location was gorgeous !! We were met by the lovely friendly owners on arrival - they showed us around - there is a heated pool on site and a laundry room. Owners live on site and are accessible if any problems arise - they informed us that they were new owners, and we were among their first guests ! This is a working farm, but you wouldn't know, it was so quiet. The cottage is approx. a 10 minute drive from Tenby. Heatherton and Annas Welsh Zoo are minutes away. A ten minute walk through fields / wood takes you into St Florence, where there is two great pubs that do evening meals. My son loved the spring lambs in the field opposite, and there were miniature ponies nearby. He also loved the pool and inflatables - which he had to himself !! Lovely break - will definitely be returning.

We just spent a fabulous long weekend at Keepers Cottage, what a lovely peaceful place to have a holiday. Its on a working farm, with horses, sheep and cattle, but dont worry about noise, as you dont hear a thing (and I'm a very light sleeper).
The cottage was just across the farmyard from Mr & Mrs Williams farmhouse who own all the cottages there. Keepers cottage was a delightful little place ideal for the both of us and was just what we needed for the weekend.
Its a 10 minute walk into St Florence where theres a couple of pubs and a small newsagent, the Parsonage Inn has a great beer garden which catches the sun all day long and the food was delicious too.
For the more outgoing Tenby and its beautiful town and beaches is a 20 minute drive away, so theres always plenty to do in the surrounding area.
For those of you who seek the peace and quiet which you cannot get in everyday life, this is definitely the place to go, just cant wait to go back.
Mr & Mrs Williams and family, you live in paradise !
Thanks for everything. Wished we could have stayed longer. Best wishes John and Diane.

Our second visit to Ritec, a great location for a restful holiday but only a short drive to Tenby with great beaches. We stayed in Tree Tops which was well equipped and had everything needed, the owners are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our break and will be returning soon.

Lovely cottage (treetops). The only thing I could complain about is there wasn’t a frying pan so we brought one for £3 and left it there ...

One of the best holidays I have ever had. You will feel there so welcome. I'm planning to book again for Easter.

Yet another fabulous holiday at Ritec Valley Cottages! We normally go with the family and stay in the lovely Treetops but on this occasion my husband and myself treated ourselves to a long weekend break by ourselves. We stayed in the smaller 2 bed cottage which was a delight. Even though the weather was changable we still had a wonderful time. The lovely Heather was there to greet us and left us Welsh cakes , tea, coffee and milk and as usual nothing is to much trouble any we need we just have to ask. Even though we were the only guest's staying that week end the pool was heated so we were able to enjoy a swim. As always the cottage was clean and comfortable so we were able to totally relax and unwind. We were welcomed at the local pun The Sun Inn where we enjoyed a lovely meal. Heather informed us that hot tubs had been installed in treetops and the other 3 bed cottage. We will be back again next year with the family!
Philippa
We had a wonderful time at this cottage, great facilities. Hot tub was fantastic, swimming pool was good for the kids, but a bit chilly. Close to Tenby (5/10 mins by car) and some fabulous family days out (20 mins). Lovely pub in the village for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would come back happily 😊

A fantastic location - very peaceful with plenty of space. The owners are very helpful and approachable. They really take nice care of the place. The cottage was beautifully presented and recent stone work to the outside added something extra. The swimming pool was a nice feature and we didn't share it with anyone else, when we chose to go. There are so many attractions nearby even although the cottages are remote. It was an ideal base. If you are looking for a quiet location in lovely surroundings then this is a great option.
