Furniture is a bit dated and sofa quite low. The fridge is missing the milk tray inside the door and its a good idea to fetch your own sharp knife. Lovely bright living area and one of the biggest lodges Ive stayed in. Lovely natural light and established planting as well as a nice monkey puzzle tree just outside.

The first thing I would like to mention is how welcoming, friendly and helpful the staff were, they made our stay feel extra special. The accommodation was absolutely amazing, it exceeded our expectations, we stayed in Lodge 7 and it was clean, comfortable and much bigger than we expected, it had everything we could possibly need and it felt very private and even had an enclosed garden. The surroundings were beautiful, everywhere you look there is wildlife, nature and Sheep! The location was perfect for exploring the Lakes, perfectly situated between Kendal and Windermere. We will definitely be returning!

Booked for 3 nights at Pound Lodge Was met by Maggie at reception who let us check in before the allocated time,as she didn't want us to check in in the dark .Arrived Friday afternoon had a drive to local shop 1.7 miles away in Staverly a nice little village.Saturday decided to go to Hawkshead Christmas market but due to weather conditions had to turn round and head back to the Lodge.....5:30pm power cut!!!Long story short had to cut our trip short due to the snow (we got stuck in) so we only stayed for 2 nights......it was a shame really as we didn't get to explore our surroundings.I can imagine it being a good base camp to go and visit different places,it was very quiet and picturesque (especially with the snow)I would recommend this Lodge if you're looking for a peaceful getaway,but maybe in Summer months ????

The apartment was clean and ready for us when we got there, the owners were very good and helped out when we needed anything. The kitchen utensils/crockery were a little bit sparse but when we needed extra we asked and they gave us them. We had a lovely holiday staying here.

Really nice accommodation, our only complaint was the lack of Wi-Fi, we had our granddaughter with us and she missed her internet access on a night. However if you want an internet detox then this is probably a great place. Btw we knew when we booked there was limited access to internet so it didnt spoil our stay but the option to have internet access would be good in my opinion.

The cottage is good, although it was a bit dusty in places. The oven and grill were dirty. The carpet rail on the lounge door was coming up due to the lack of screws.The WiFi is shocking! It is expensive, unreliable and in 2023 should not be advertised as having WiFi.

Due to an unfortunate issue ith Hay loft we were relocated in the cottage underneath. However that wasn't an issue for us.The staff Maggie, Billy and Paul at pound farm were excellent, they were very helpful, pleasant and made us feel very welcome at the park. Maggie always greeted us with a smile. Excellent holiday had by all will definitely be back.

Lovely stay at Hayloft Apartment, very close to lake Windermere. From previous reviews we knew there would be little to no internet, and this was quite nice for a little detox. My only negative is one of the beds (double) was rather uncomfortable. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

Great location and lovely place. There was damp in both bedrooms and some of the furniture was tired and kitchen lacked some essentials. Tip from me would be to take some extensions as sockets not in useful places. With the accommodation in the converted barn there is no secure outdoor area which is a shame but otherwise we had a great stay.
