Perfect van and comfortable. Needs coat hooks! Wet coats because of the weather were a problem curtain rails had to take the brunt with coat hangers hanging from them! Not happy about this but we had no choice. Also hooks required in bathroom no-where to hang towels or robes.

Wonderful caravan, clean and homely.

One downside of where I was staying is the mattress of the double room - my partner could not sleep properly. Otherwise, she liked everything else.

excellent spacious lodge. car had to be parked round the back near the gas tanks which was not a good idea. some light bulbs not working. some panelling coming off the wall. some lodges were tightly packed in, other parks are more spacious.

Beautiful location, the site is very clean and modern and the site warden was very helpful and went out of his way to tell us about the site and local area. Port haverigg has a lovely beach when the tide is out. We visited in January and the ski bar was open which was a bonus as I expected it to be closed, lovely bar and very clean. We would definitely visit again it has a fantastic private lake for water sports in the summer.

Date of stay: 5th October 2015
The break at the Holiday Village was really good as usual. The caravan was great, but unfortunately the carpet and settee/main seating, though clean, looked tired and well worn.
But that apart the Combe Class caravan easily served its purpose, as a base in a beautiful part of this country of ours.
Joanne, Camberley
Date of stay: 25th July 2015
The caravan was clean and tidy and the bedding was good although we could have done with a few more pillows. Very nice shower and plenty of hot water. 2 toilets which was good as we were 6 adults staying. The kitchen had everything we required and a good size table that we could all sit and eat at.
Wendy, Selby
Date of stay: 24th July 2015
Didn't no what to expect about the caravan after reading some of the views, but we found ourselves to be in a very nice clean caravan, nice new clean bedding. Good equipped kitchen with everything we needed, tea towel, oven gloves and cleaning cloths available and an iron ( which pleased me as I left ours at home). The only downside was the sofa and carpet very dated and worn, but no big issue as it was comfortable with added cushions.
Gary, Portsmouth

Date of stay: 26th July 2014
Fantastic caravan. Shame there is no shop on site.
The ski bar had a very very loud heavy metal rock band at 5pm on a Saturday when we tried it, needless to say we didn't stay which was a shame as it looked nice but not suitable for young children or anyone wanting a conversation
Richard, Yorkshire

Fantastic place, right by the water, quiet and peaceful, enough to do on site if you wanted to, staff were helpful, lovely caravan! Would like to return !
Perfect for us as a family. Not quite enough glasses for us to drink from but that’s nit picking. Excellent location next to the brill playground and caravan was spot on!

Fun Days Out near Port Haverigg Holiday Village

about 5 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.

Here at the Wildlife Oasis you can really get up close to the animals and experience a mix of exotic wildlife and hand son displays.  See butterflies, birds and even bats flying around.  You don't have to plan your visit according to weather either with the tropical hall and butterfly house undercover.  Sunny days are ideal for some of the inhabitants however with the monkeys and Lemurs loving to sunbathe.  The mission of Lakeland's Wildlife Oasis is to engender and foster an interest and appreciation of the natural world which, in our belief underpins wildlife conservation; and, where possible to contribute and encourage contribution to the conservation of wildlife and wild places.  You know that you are helping with this mission if you choose to visit.

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.

This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.

We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
