Honest review. Lodge layout is good. Log burner fire was nice, as was the hot tub. Nice location. Everything in terms of utensils and appliances was provided. However, the major let down was the cleanliness. Dog hairs were everywhere, especially on the sofas, and the lodge itself smelt of dog. This is fine if you are a pet owner but makes for an unpleasant stay if you are not. Also, more lighting needed around hot tub area.

The lodge was very clean inside with all the essentials for a nice short break. We had access to smart TV apps via a stable wifi too. Staff were quick to respond to any messages, helpful and polite. Hot tub was ready to dip into and private enough to relax and enjoy after a long walk. Overall we loved our stay at the Texel lodge and if we ever fancy maxing and relaxing with a hot tub, nice local walks and a quiant village nearby we will be sure to book again.

A pleasant week's stay here at Teesdale. Site was very quiet. Plenty of places to visit around the area. Locally, found inadequate number of shops. Best eating restaurant by far is Hazelmere in Grange centre.

We had a lovely weekend in Vendeen lodge. The lodge was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Not only two en-suite bedrooms, but also a small loo by the back door. The lodge was also immaculately clean ????. The site was nice and peaceful and the hot tub was perfect for star gazing. Can highly recommend.

Beautiful relaxing lodge, nice touch leaving milk, sticky toffee pudding and a selection box as it was over Christmas when we stayed. Lodge had a little Christmas tree too. Hot tub was amazing and log fire was just what we needed. Bed was a little bit uncomfortable looked well worn, could maybe be replaced? but on the whole excellent . Pheasant Inn a lovely place to eat in Grange o sands too, very welcoming and the little shop in cartmel sells amazing puddings.

Had a lovely stay with early check in. The site and surrounding areas are very well kept with a 20 minute walk into the village that has 3 or 4 pubs, a couple of cafes and shops. The only reason I haven't given a 5 star is the comparison with other Autograph lodges. At Meadows End you have to pay extra for robes, slippers, hot tub towels etc which is a great option but not reflected in the price. Also the welcome pack wasn't really up to much. Having said that we had a relaxing break in the snow and would return one day.

Overall this lodge is a lovely place to stay and was a great little holiday home for our staycation. The staff were super helpful and really friendly.Kitchen was well stocked so did not have to worry about plates/cutlery/etc, and the milk and pudding in the fridge upon arrival was a nice little touch.Although we were warned that the wi-fi was hit and miss we never had any issues with it. Tv worked absolutely fine.Bedroom was a nice size, only complaint I would have personally was that the pillows were like bricks so I found them very uncomfortable, also the bed creaked a lot. Bathroom was great - had amazing water pressure, could get very hot and steamy in there though due to there being no windows, especially if you went in straight after someone else.Hot tub was lovely, was great to go into on a night after being out and about during the day. Issue though was that the chemicals they put in there are really strong and on the first day the smell was almost unbearable. Also where our tub was positioned, there were a lot of tree branches above it so leaves and petals would often fall into the tub, but thats a very minor issue. An issue that we did find with the lodge however was how thin the walls were. Dont know if we just had a particularly loud neighbours, but we could hear every door and drawer they shut. The main downside for us I would say was the location. Although there were beautiful nearby villages these can only really be accessed either by car or by walking on very narrow country roads (with no paths). We thought this was a bit of a shame as it would have been nice to walk down and go to a local pub or something but we were not confident walking on the road. But everything was still easy to get to from the lodge and all in all we had a lovely staycation.

Overall Shaun Lodge was absolutely fantastic. The facilities in the lodge itself were really good, absolutely loved the hot tub and the fire stove. Also in a great location with Cartmel just a mile walk down the road. Only things I think that could improve the lodge itself would be a tv in the bedroom and the wifi being stronger. The famous Cartmel sticky toffee pudding in the fridge was a lovely touch.
