Date of stay: 28th June 2019
No brainer!

Windmill Retreat is one of my favourite places to go as everything is at your pace. The facilities there are enough for you to enjoy a nice relaxing break with a short distance to areas such as Street, Glastonbury and Bridgwater.

The Sail Loft is a perfect size for 2 people with ample of room and a amazing balcony.

100% will be going back again for a third stay!
Donna, London
Date of stay: 20th May 2019
I stayed in the Sail Loft which was exactly as described and pictured. The apartment was absolutely spotless on arrival. In respect of the location it is very quiet which was exactly what I wanted. I was not disappointed at all and would definitely visit again and highly recommend to others. Thank you to the owners and cleaners for providing excellent accommodation and service.

Great holiday and accommodation. Just needed a few more dishes and glasses. Also hot tub wasnt topped up while we were there. Other than that all was lovely.

great lodge, just one small niggle - the extractor hood was too low and all of us banged our heads
Andrea, Rhondda
Date of stay: 1st October 2018
Amazing. We are 8 ladies who try to take an annual short break together. The best so far.
Date of stay: 24th September 2018
Our break was excellent from start to finish.

We were warmly greeted by David (sorry if I have your name wrong) who gave us a great tour of our accommodation and facilities we were able to use. It was the little touches like having milk, tea & coffee for us and goodies from the local bakery.

The site itself was easy to find with satnav, however we did say that the site needs a bigger sign outside and also needs to be lit up better in the dark. It is easy to drive past which a couple of us did.

The bedrooms were all clean, the beds comfie and the robes and towels fluffy. There were a couple of things like paint chipped in certain areas but that is general wear & tear.

The kitchen had everything you needed to cater for a group, please can you add some trivets or something where you can put hot pans/tins on. I was worried sick I was going to damage the worktops.
Thank you for supply adequate cleaning supplies, so many lodges don't include enough.

I couldn't see anywhere to place recycling/waste. Luckily we had a spare box so we put all of our stuff in there for the cleaners to sort.

We didn't realize there was a small cafe on site, we didn't use it as we didn't realize it was there, could have gone there for our breakfast.

The onsite spa smelt amazing but we didn't use it during our stay, it was £39 to use without a treatment which was bit expensive for the size. But I am sure the treatments are well worth it.

We had dinner at the local pub The George which is a 10 min walk back into the village. Food was great and the prices were very reasonable.

We loved the hot tub but felt we didn't have much privacy from the other guests on site. We all felt the same, and something like a bamboo fence at the end of the garden would just give you that privacy. There was nothing from stopping a neighbor/child/pet coming into your garden area.

Great accommodation

Lovely place for a quiet relaxing stay. Not a huge deal to do around local area except the pub which was very nice!

Excellent holiday.
Donna, Bath
Date of stay: 21st May 2018
The apartment itself is amazing, beautifully finished with everything you will need - a home from home! Full-sized freezer, fridge, dishwasher (with tablets!), washing machine, electric oven, toaster, microwave, plenty of baking and cooking pans and knives, enough glassware and wine glasses for everyone! Very relaxed atmosphere, nothing too much trouble.

Smart TV and an amazing hot tub out back - cleaned every morning! Plus complimentary bathrobes too for everyone.

The only slight grumbles (and I mean very slight!) was that there were only 4x garden chairs when we arrived (and there were 7 of us staying) but no bother, Dave who worked there was very helpful and managed to find us a few more chairs so we can all sit outside (the weather was gorgeous - Royal Wedding weekend) - also, only one loo roll in each loo for a weekend of 7 ladies, not enough, but you were able to get more if you asked.

All in all, we loved it and are rebooking again for next year!

Can't wait
Carole, Bristol
Date of stay: 30th April 2018
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.
Sarah, Bolton
Date of stay: 13th April 2018
Excellent accommodation.

We made all our meals at the cottage and we found it needed more pots, pans etc plus a few more basics like oil and sauces would have been useful. It also needed more coathangers.

Other than that it was perfect and would definitely recommend. We were comfortable and relaxed. There was plenty of space and great bathrooms. It was in a quiet location with lots of days out for the family close by. The hot tub was amazing even in the cold weather and enjoyed every evening.
Samantha, Oxford
Date of stay: 16th March 2018
Beautiful cottage, enough space for 8, without being on top of each other.
Susan, Waterlooville/hampshire
Date of stay: 16th March 2018
Can't speak too highly of the Sail Loft - absolutely loved it and looking forward to returning at some point soon. It was so warm, clean and cosy. Had everything we needed. Also so handy for towns of interest. Met and chatted with the owners - really lovely people.
Karla, Bournemouth
Date of stay: 12th February 2018
Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful time away. There are shops and things to do not too far away but if time to hide away from a busy world is what you want then this is the place. Millers Rest is a beautiful lodge, clean, tidy and really felt like a home away from home. Couldn't fault at all.
Con, North Somerset
Date of stay: 20th November 2017
It was excellent
Michael, Coventry
Date of stay: 9th October 2017
It was spotlessly clean. Everything you could wish for was there. Even dishwasher tablets are supplied. There was a welcome pack of milk and a lovely cake and tea and coffee. The view from the balcony was lovely its a very quiet location on the edge of the village. Everything is really good the bed was very comfortable the bathroom is lovely and big.
Couldn't fault accommodation in anyway. We will be back!!!!

Beautiful accommodation. Suitable for our wheelchair user. Quiet area. They're adding a shop and tea room on site, which will benefit the site.
Marie, Wirral
Date of stay: 14th August 2017
Have already booked for next year
Lovely spot for our girls weekend away. The local pub (the George inn )was closed for redecorating, we used the king Alfred, fantastic food. Beautiful views, hot tub and tucked away, perfect for us.
Fantastic place with a great hot tub and amazing owners. Somerset is great location with lots to do.
Great place, very peaceful and quite.
An amazing holiday base - peaceful location, spotlessly clean won't everything you need to have a great time. Thank you.
Fabulous accommodation! Really loved our four day break in the Sail Loft at the Windmill Retreat. Very handy for Glastonbury/Wells/Cheddar Gorge and, for those who love to shop, the Clarks retail village. Would recommend without hesitation and look forward to returning again.
Totally Amazing accomdation. Very clean. Staff really helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go again.
High quality, luxurious, and everything has been though off. Idea for couples, groups and us with a young family, somthing for everyone. Will be returning soon.
We got relocated here last minute and we had a fab time. Cottage is beautiful. Staff very helpful. Would highly recommend!
Fantastic short break great location for exploring the area
Our second visit to Windmill Retreat. It's central location is a bonus with Weston Supare Mare, Lyme Regis, Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury all within easy reach. Good size rooms and the open plan upstairs living with the balcony works really well. Hot tub is a definite plus.
We had a fabulous time despite the rain on our first day. We loved the quality and little touches and everything was so clean and fresh. One thought we had was a gazebo would have been useful so we could enjoy the hot tub in the rain.
Lovely place to stay. Really clean and cosy. Nick was brilliant with anything we needed. We definitely go back with the girls. Especially when the treatment rooms are up and running!
We just loved our stay at The Windmill Retreat! It was perfect for a relaxing weekend, a chance to slow down.
We had an amazing time here in February! 5 of us were amazed at how gorgeous the place is. The beds were super comfy and there was even towel robes to use. The hot tub was gorgeous!! The 50 inch smart tv and dishwasher made it feel like a home away from home. Supermarket was 5 minutes away and so was the shopping village. It was so quiet and peaceful and plenty of space, with parking for 2 cars. We loved it so much we've booked 8 of us for July! Can't wait
Stunning getaway retreat from our normally busy hustle and bustle routine of our lives. We came here to celebrate my 40th birthday and it was everything and more than I'd hoped for. Drinking champagne in the hot tub is what I'd wanted for the morning of my birthday. The 8 of us enjoyed the house, hot tub and a gorgeous meal at The George Inn (booking in advance is recommended). Faultless weekend away.
