Date of stay: 27th January 2018
Lovely place shame that some of the people staying were workman, who were working off site - although were friendly - the vans and noise when they left for work was not really what you need on a holiday
Christy, Lancaster
Date of stay: 20th January 2018
Best holiday accommodation I have stayed in very relaxing I could happily just stayed in lodge reading and crafting but also enjoyed visiting things in local area already booked to come back in summer

Great lodge. Well equipped kitchen and good shower. Hot tub kept perfectly clean and a super addition to the holiday. Beds/doors a bit creaky.
Kenneth, Uphall, West Lothian
Date of stay: 30th December 2017
Only a small note for the cleanliness as there was the smell of dogs on the cushions on the sofa. There is a note asking for pets to be kept off the furniture, so it's more a pointer at guests not respecting house rules.
Linda, Ormiston, Scotland

Absolutely wonderful short break, would highly recommend. Only nit pick would be that the lodge could really do with having a frying pan but apart from that, all great!

Overall we had a great time at Kiltarlity, and will be back. The only downside was a severe shortage of taxi operators, allowing a trip to town for a meal and drinks.

Must admit the Hot Tub is my favorite, loved all of the places we visited my dad liked the Singeltons Distillery Tour which catered to his mobility scooter. On the way home we called into the Dalwhiney Distillery couldn't do the tour with him as there was steps but we had the tasting, I took mine away as I was driving.

We had a fantastic time at the Kiltarlity Lodge. We have visited before (we have a family member who lives in the village and the lodge is a very convenient place to stay whilst we visit). To our delighted surprise the lodges have been renovated and what a fantastic job the owners have made. All energy now included (previously was pay by meter), where we could would say we stayed previously just because of convenience, we can now honestly say we can't wait to visit again and have defiantly spend more time enjoy the luxuries that the lodge has to offer itself.

Kitarlity lodge pride themselves on given their customers a really forest location experience. They are tucked well into the forest landscape, the workers use many of the natural materials provide by the forest to decorate their surrounds. The natural feel to the whole site is cosy and sitting round a campfire is magical under the starlit forest canopy.

We were also very happy to hear that this year the site opened the pool for the winter season. We hope the trial went well and that the owners are able to continue to offer this perk to customers in future all season round. The pool at the accommodation is great! Clean and tidy changing rooms, the water is warm, the children had a fabulous time! We did not rent a lodge with a Jacuzzi but with the pool facility available we really did not feel we missed out (note all be the Jacuzzi at the other lodges did look fabulous and was well disguised by the natural forest surroundings).
Surrounding area and places to visit:
We have been attending the area for years so have visited most tourist areas. In our opinion this area of Scotland is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. The accommodation is less than 10 minutes away from Loch Ness, 40 minute drive from Fortrose (famous for dolphin spotting). We very much recommend visiting Rogie Falls for a fantastic walk across the falls and around the forest (again 40 minute trip). This year we visited Lossiemouth, a traditional seaside town about 1 hour east of Inverness this year and what a stunning little seaside town this is, a must see if you have a sunny day by the seaside, I even put it out there that this seaside resort is probably one of if not the best looking beaches in the UK. The Glens are only a short drive away and well worth a trip round, the views are fantastic and there is also something special about seeing the full sized live deer roaming the mountain landscape.

More locally the closest main town, Beauly has a sensible size supermarket but would urge you to venture into the town centre itself and visit the local bakers and butchers found on the corner of the town centre carpark. Want to take a haggis home, no problem John M Munro Butchers produce some of the best tasting Haggis in Scotland, they can even vacuum pack the haggis ready for your drive home. At the Harry Gow Bakery treat yourself to a Dream Ring, they are to die for!

Inverness is 12 miles away, the drive in along the Beauly Firth is also extremely pretty. Inverness has everything you need if you fancy a trip into the city. Not that you will have much time for commercial leisure but if you fancy a change, the Leisure Centre also has fantastic pool facilities with flumes and wave machine, there is a cinema, a bowling alley. We highly recommend Whin Park for family with children and you can take a walk along the river and head back into town via the Ness Islands, an extremely pretty area of Inverness. On the East outskirts of Inverness (A96 towards the airport) you will find the Inverness Retail Park packed with shops, chain restaurants and your "Extra" size Supermarkets.

Wishing all who takes up our recommendations a wonderful stay, you will have a fabulous time in this location, promise you that!

You all made a relatively simple lodge homely with all the little details. Everything worked great, was clean and complete. And the rural wifi was a blessing in disguise. We really disconnected. Thank you all again, and we will be back!

Heather 3 was an ideal lodge for three adults, 2 grandkids and our dog. We were very impressed by how well appointed it was. It seemed to have everything we needed and was spotless when we arrived. We settled in immediately and found the lodge homely and comfortable. It was good to have a swimming pool and tennis court on site.
Definitely value for money.

Beautiful views, quiet and homely. Nothing's a bother for staff. It's difficult to wind down after work, however, none of us thought about it and were thoroughly relaxed and recharged when we left.

very friendly and helpful. Lodge was very clean and well equipped. Some furniture and decor was dated but not worn or dirty. Swimming pool was perfect for a small family site. Playground items were a little tired. Surroundings were excellent, the wild mushrooms and flowers throughout the site has my daughter convinced there must be fairies!

Kilttarlity Lodges was a great place to stay very clean lodges had everything we needed and very cosy, I would definitely recommend it. the hot tub was great but the only down side to it was that this is Scotland and it rains a lot if there had been some kind of roof over it and shelter for some privacy we would have been able to use it all the time as it was we where only able to use it twice at the most. I would still go back

Date of stay: 26th January 2015
we enjoyed our stay despite the cold temperatures we experienced in the week in January, it was very beautiful and the cabin was adequately supplied, the only draw back was that everything was electric card meter, not prepayment with the booking, and in the week we were there we spent a lot of time feeding the meter, storage heaters and air convector heaters are not my favourite form of heating, they are greedy, and I would have preferred central heating and radiators. However, expensive as we found it, everything else was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend it for sub zero temperatures if you have the choice to go in the summer when you will not be finding the need to have the heating on continuously to simply keep the cabin at a comfortable temperature. The hot tub was gorgeous, but some paving to walk upon between the hottub and the cabin rather than the gravel chips would have been more comfortable and practical.. .we didn't have spare shoes, only hiking boots, which we needed to keep dry, and in the cold climate of January, we had anticipated having decking or slabs upon which our barefeet would walk to the hot tub... spare shoes for this purpose or flip flops would have been a great advantage. It was an ouchy experience hobling over the sharp chippings in the aftermath of a relaxing session in the hot tub.
Altogether, the area and surrounding tranquility, the walking in Boblainy Forest with our dogs, and the pleasant and helpful staff it was a fantastically peaceful site.

Three words PEACE AND QUIET
Gayle
Lovely lodges and setting, with every little detail thought of - washing up liquid, kitchen roll, tea/coffee, even a little jug of milk for your first night's stay. The lodge itself was very quaint and homely, and most importantly very clean. The heating had been left on for our arrival which was gratefully noted! We have stayed at other parks and it has been absolutely freezing on arrival. The park itself is quite isolated with only around 10 lodges, but we liked this. The staff were really helpful when checking in and offered advice on a local tour. The location was great for everything we wanted to do during our stay. Excellent value for money, would definitely stay again.
Lesley
The units were well equipped and clean
Catryn
Lodge was lovely and the hot tub was amazing! Would definitely return and aske for the same lodge! Loved it!
Alan
Excellent holiday, staff are excellent!! Only one small thing which I pointed out to the staff we had to boil the kettle for the dishes as water from the tap didn't heat sufficiently to wash the dishes, apart from that a superb holiday! Thanks
Christy
Well appointed lodge.very helpful staff cleared snow so we could get car out. Hot tub used every day.could benefit from extra baking sheet as tend to use convenience foods.peaceful setting but beautiful scenery especially in the snow.already booked to come back in summer
Keith
Lovely place, very clean and well presented, very nice friendly staff
Jenny
We had a great time at Kilarty Lodges. The lodges are clean and comfortable with thoughtful additions not always found in lodge accommodation. For such a small park it has a lot of facilities such as swimming pool and tennis court; which make it a great choice for families of all ages.

Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.
