Heathside Lodges

Suffolk » Wenhaston, Halesworth

Heathside Lodges in Suffolk will appeal to those looking for a peaceful base to explore the local area.  With a secluded setting these lodges have much to offer couples and families wanting a restful holiday but close enough to local towns should you want to get out and explore.

The market towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Walberswick are within reach for days out with a range of shops and restaurants.

The accommodation has been well designed and we like the Blyth Lodge for couples which sleeps 2 and comes with a private outdoor hot tub.  This lovely lodge also has mod cons including wifi access and flatscreen TV with freeview.  The spacious living area is ideal for relaxing and the french doors leading to the private decking are a nice touch.

The Waveney Lodge is slightly larger and sleeps 4 making it a good choice for both couples and families.  This lodge is sure to be popular with a spacious open plan living area, private decking and outdoor hot tub.

All of the lodges are also double glazed making them a cosy choice even in the colder months. And of course the outdoor hot tub can be enjoyed in all weathers - even snow!

The Deben Lodge is the largest of the lodges.  Sleeping 6 adults this is a spacious lodge with two double bedrooms and one twin.  One of the doubles has an en suite bathroom and there is also a family bathroom within the lodge.  With plenty of mod cons including microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer the Deben Lodge provides a comfortable base for your stay.  You will also enjoy use of your own private outdoor hot tub, as well as a balcony with patio furniture.

The local area is perfect for exploring. Some recommended days out include the Suffolk Odyssey Llamas in Halesworth less than 3 miles from the lodges, and Africa Alive in Lowestoft less than 10 miles away

Visitor Reviews of Woolverstone Marina Lodge Park

Linda, Frinton-on-sea
Date of stay: 17th June 2019
Fantastic lodge, sleeps 8, but only 5 of us so plenty of room. Everything was perfect however had there been 8 of us there were only 4 seats outside on the patio.
Extremely comfortable beds.

Lovely break - we could have done with more time so will return. My one comment about the lodge is regarding kitchen equipment - we were a group of 7 and there was one casserole dish! There were no serving spoons, just one large cooking spoon, so we had to use ordinary spoons. I am aware that a lot of people eat out when on holiday, but we always cater inhouse and like a well equipped kitchen. Otherwise it was lovely.

Had a brilliant stay at fern in woolverstone marina park everyone was very friendly and helpful on arrival. The lodge was beautiful overlooking the lake with lovely private hot tub inder the trees which works perfectly. Planning our next stay already for next year. All the furniture and fittings were well looked after, spotless clean and well maintained. The smart TV was really good and nice to have in the bedroom too. The wifi works mostly well did drop out occasionally however being in the forest it is to be expected not have perfect signal. Only down side have to pay hundred pounds sercuity deposit on arrival however you do receive this back sooner than said, I receive mine back 5 days after our stay. Very strict about checking the hot tub they check the water levels twice a day 8am and 5pm however they are descret and don't distrusb you during your stay. Also not far away from shops aswell with a shopping centre/complex 15 mins drive away.

Beautiful, relaxing Lodge and Park.
Only downside was the kitchen was a little dirty in places, especially table mats and knife block . Rest was spotless. No oven glove, but welcome pack and amount of equipment was excellent. Overall brilliant.

Date of stay: 15th October 2018
Stayed in Bramble 8-15th October. A luxurious lodge set in a beautiful wooded area. Five minutes walk from the River Orwell and country walks.
The lodge was extremely clean and well prepared for us. Beds made, bath robes and slippers, and bathroom soaps etc.
All the basic needs were provided for our arrival. Bread, jams etc, butter milk, tea, coffee and machine. Plus plus!
Hot tub at 38C was a wonderful way to end the day.
Excellent value.

Jenni, Wickford
Date of stay: 8th October 2018
Fantastic stay in the Fern lodge. It was very spacious and clean and felt very open to the beautiful scenery outside with the windows surrounding. All of the nice little touches was great such as local bread, milk, jam, tea etc. We even was supplied with robes and slippers which really helped with the hot tub. The hot tub was always clean and it was very nice sitting in there day or night. The kitchen was well equipped. If I had to suggest anything it would be to supply a wok as not everyone cooks dishes in a saucepan or small frying pan but none the less I would definetely return. The area was lovely and quiet. I didnt hear anyone else from the other lodges so it made it very relaxing.

An outstanding lodge with top quality facilities! The attention to detail throughout is second to none. The care taken to ensure the hot tub we had in our lodge is clean was great. The lodge is up there as one of the best places we have stayed. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Although the lodge was very clean we had a problem with ants. They got into all the food and we had to throw a lot away. The marina were helpful in trying to resolve the problem.

We had a great time . The log cabin was stunning the marina and surrounding area was beautiful will definitely book again loved it .
Georgia, Felixstowe
Date of stay: 5th March 2018
The lodge was lovely and relaxing, the kitchen was the best feature! Although there is only 6 knives, forks, plates etc which is difficult when your eating breakfast and also need knives for buttering etc. Also would of liked to have a lodge for 6 with a hot tub available. We had a baby with us and were offered a travel cot and high chair at no extra charge which was helpful. It was a great weekend, with lovely staff and we would definitely recommend to friends :-)
Yuksel
Nice and clean Beautiful marina nearby Really friendly touched such as the bread. Should have clear signs for reception
Matt
Superb lodges. Luxurious and new. Even if the weather isn’t great the lodges are so well equipped and the location so relaxing it really doesn’t matter that much. Great holiday lodge come rain or shine. We had a great value for money deal but I don’t think those low prices will last!
Heather
We went for a weekend away from it all and this fitted the bill perfectly. The Lodge was very well equipped and one of the nicest we have stayed in. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet and just right for a few days relaxation.
Janine
A lovely site and super accommodation.
Nicole
What a lovely stay at Woolverstone Park. There was 8 of us staying in the chestnut lodge. The lodge was spacious and came well equipped for us to cook our own meals, they even had bread, jam and toiletries on arrival! I’ve been to 3 other lodge escapes with hoeseasons and this has to be my favourite. There was a go karting track only 15 minutes away from our lodges as well as bars and restaurants. Overall a lovely relaxing escape, we even saw a couple of deers whilst doing the washing up one morning!
Georgia
We had a very relaxing break, the staff are lovely and very helpful. Milk in the fridge and fresh bread on arrively was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend :)
Nickie
The lodge is very well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. We had a short stay when the snow fell and we kept very snug and warm. The personal touches of milk, jam and bread were very welcoming. The doggy treats, dishes and towels for our retriever weren’t expected but were a lovely touch. Whilst the surrounding area will need a little time to recover from the building works, the area is full of wildlife, tranquil and relaxing.
Melanie
We had a short break at Woolverston, thanks to the staff on reception for being so lovely. This was our first break for several years and we enjoyed the restfulness that the lodge and surroundings provided. We would love to go again if we are able to book as I expect this lodge park will be popular.
Michael
A nice quiet park with friendly staff.
