Stayed in the Laurel 8 bed lodge with family. Absolutely perfect perfect perfect. First time in a lodge and it was fab. The owners had gone out of their way to ensure eveything you needed was there from DVDs for the children, games/books for children, dishwasher, washer/dryer, unbelievable. Are looking to book to go back in December. Very very peaceful but plenty for the children to do on site and in the surrounding areas. Well done Fritton Lake!

The chalet suited us very well for our party of two plus an elderly father and brother. It had only a couple of steps up to the chalet which was ideal for an elderly person with limited mobility. There was enough parking for two cars. The lounge overlooked the balcony area with open doors with easy accessability. This area had an excellent open view of a large green area surrounded by woods. The chalet had three bedrooms one of which had an en-suite. Bedrooms were quite compact but sufficient for a weeks break. The kitchen was well equipped and had ample cutlery and kitchen utensils. It suited us very well for the quiet break which we all needed. Although there was no entertainment or shop on site, we found local amenities within a short car drive.

Absolutely fabulous weekend, can't wait to go back again!
Tom, Cranbrook
Date of stay: 22nd May 2017
The cabin was well situated in a woodland glade far enough away from neighbouring cabins to ensure adequate privacy. The only problem was overnight rain is very noisy on the timber roof! The cabin was very clean when I arrived, with fresh bed linen and towels, however as there is no housekeeping service occupants are expected to maintain standards. Also be aware although the kitchen is well appointed, consumables are not provided, so don't forget to bring the washing up liquid and toiletries.
Geoff, Upminster, Essex
Date of stay: 15th May 2017
Nice comfortable lodge.
John, Northampton
Date of stay: 8th May 2017
The cabin was of good clean quality with all amenities working including the dishwasher which we did not expect to find in a location of this nature. Included also was a combined washing machine/tumble drier - again a surprising unexpected piece of equipment not usually found in such locations. The entire interior was in immaculate condition and decoration and cleaned on a regular basis. The cooking facilities were of outstanding value with a high level oven which meant it was safe against sticky fingered little children. The toilets and bathrooms were excellent with modern conveniences and the 2 showers were well used. While the bedrooms had adequate room for bedside tables and built in wardrobes - the internal passageway was a little narrow, but this caused no inconvenience when we got used to using in it. We were fortunate enough to be close enough to reception to obtain WiFi, which assisted in some work whilst there and the television was also of good quality - the only drawback being able to access analogue signal stations only. With the Fritton Arms public House only a few hundred yards away, their facilities proved very useful - particularly the outdoor adventure playground, swings and the large bouncy pillow which we all enjoyed. Having the lake nearby was a nice change of scenery and wildlife, as was the out door centre for canoeing and other external adventure activities. While we had some inclement weather, we went into Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft on a couple of occasions as they were within an easy commute distance.

Vanessa, Ipswich
Date of stay: 10th April 2017
Overall a lovely comfortable lodge. Very comfortable sofas but some items were not very child friendly - such as a glass coffee table and a sharp metal light feature (not ideal for young kids running about) Also, beautiful curtains, but black out ones would work better for keeping the sunlight out in the mornings. Would have been beneficial to have had a detailed welcome book detailing how to operate things in the lodge eg, the heating, boiler/hot water/ power shower etc. We worked it out ourselves but a book would have been useful. Great to have torches in the lodge for the night time walks etc. We will be coming again!

Date of stay: 13th March 2017
The lodge was modern and clean with lots of space. Each bedroom had a large wardrobe so plenty of storage and the master had a nice en-suite. The kitchen was well equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. The bathroom had a free standing bath as well as a separate shower. The hot tub was brilliant, it was a really good size, a great tempreture and it had colour change lights for the evening!

Date of stay: 30th January 2017
We stayed at lodge 59. Excellent lodge with modern decorations and furnishings and a well equipped kitchen. We travelled as a couple however this lodge would comfortably sleep 6 people. The hot tub was very nice. Could not fault the park itself, very nice surroundings within the woodlands. We only had two encounters with the staff and on both occasions they were very polite and helpful. We also enjoyed having lunch at the Fritton Arms which has a very pleasant atmosphere.
Would definitely recommend this park and lodge to anyone and we will definitely be returning next year!

Nice comfortable lodge, good heating even in late December.
Seats 8 for dining, which is what we needed, but not for the living area.
Since July's review stating one usable pan, this is now down to zero.
This was the only negative issue.

The laurel sleeps 8 and the rooms are well proportioned. The addition of the en suite was essential with kids being with us. The only issue we found was we booked 6adults 2 children and a baby so had a travel cot. Neither of the double rooms were big enough to have the travel cot in so we had to move furniture around. It was workable but maybe something to bare in mind that the cot only fits in the twin rooms at a push. Good space for our family size, lovely location and the place was very clean and well equipped.

Our lodge was beautifully clean and warm. The kitchen area had everything needed for cooking. All I waould say was our lodge was slightly old fashioned but didn't bother us.

The only complaint was that in a lodge for 8 people there were only seating in living room for 5 adults and the kettle wasn't working properly- had to manoeuvre a knife to get it to make proper contact with the base!

Very comfortable and warm although the bed felt a bit tired, The lodge just lacked a pair of scissors and a broom, it was autumn so we needed to control the leaves.

Due to the lodges being in the woods either the carpet should be darker or then should be wipeable flooring through out with maybe some rugs

Generally great but a lot of spiders hiding behind curtains. leather sofas looked good but you slide off them and one of the patio doors could only be opened using 2 people, one of the very strong - lodge 46.

The decking area around the lodge needed cleaning became very slippery in wet weather. All is needed is a clean up before new guests arriv it was obvious the decking hadn't been cleaned for a while

The only thing that was a problem was the cobwebs that festuned the outside and windows so we were reluctant to open them, a kind friend cleared some away with a broom otherwise we were extremely happy with the accommodation and surroundings which we found quiet and restful.

The lodge is privately owned and the furnishings were of a good standard, the kitchen well stocked with crockery and utensils. The master bedroom and ensuite was particularly well furnished and fitted out. There should be smoke alarms installed, particularly as an open plan layout. Also a welcome pack of milk, tea, biscuits would be a nice touch as there is no shop on site. We put milk in the freezer nearest shop 15 mins drive. Overall very happy with the location and accommodation.

Our 4 bedroom lodge was very roomy although the seating in the lounge area was limited. There was only 1 usable saucepan as the non stick coating was coming off the others. We were also disappointed that we couldn't use the outside patio furniture as it was very dirty and worn. Would have liked a bread board and chopping board! I have given a high score for value for money but this was a very late booking and therefore reduced, I would not have paid full price for it.

Loved every minute of it! Really nice location with the lake, facilities inside were perfect. The cabin was the right size for two people and you could easily cope with 4 . When we had a problem with the heating we went to reception and they were kind enough to fix it there and then. Would definatly recommend and come back again!

The lodge was beautiful and very well equipped. The only criticism we had was some aspects of the cleanliness. On arrival the majority of the large dinner plates were filthy with food stains on. Also on first use of the microwave there was a burning smell which we found to be a large spillage at the bottom which had not been cleaned from previous guests. The en-suite was also a little whiffy. If it wasn't for these three items the lodge was lovely and we could quite happily live there.

Lodge was lovely and clean when we arrived, also well equipped. Everything had been thought of. Was plenty of heating and the beds and sofa were comfortable. Plenty of towels had been provided and the showers and bath were lovely. Using the shower was a nice treat as we only have a bath at home.

Fantastic holiday, accommodation, outstanding location. My partner stayed at the coach house as a child but this stay brought a whole new experience.
The only reason rated a nine for furniture and fittings was I feel a blind or net should be over front door as it's opposite childrens bedroom.
Will defiantly be returning..

Loved it, can't wait to come again

We had such a relaxing mid week break here with our 3 children during Oct half-term. The Lakeview Lodge was lovely. It was so peaceful eating breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake listening to birdsong! Excellent lodge facilities. You need a car though. It would be nice if the site could be developed so that this was a handy little shop on site selling basics. The outdoor centre was shut whilst we were there (our half term fell out of season which was good for the price but not for the facilites!). The adventure play area was amazing and quiet. We all had a good play but our 8year old boy and 11 year old girl spent hours playing hide and seek in the castle (oh go on - so did the teenager and us parents too!!) We ate at both pubs and would highly recommend although the prices at the Fritton arms we feel were high for what we got. Would book again if considering Norfolk as our destination.
David
Very comfortable lodge with everything you need for that breakaway.
Samantha
We had a great time and will definitely be going back
