Date of stay: 3rd November 2017
Beautiful, modern lodge with good facilities nearby. Handy to have a washing machine for longer stays and the hot tub was welcome in the frosty weather! The lodges are situated very close together therefore lack slightly in privacy and could do with some towel hooks and shelving in the bathrooms however all in all a very enjoyable stay.

Date of stay: 22nd September 2017
Once again had a fab holiday , couldn't of asked for a nicer week , great area and great park and accommodation
Date of stay: 22nd September 2017
Would not be big enough for four adults
Date of stay: 22nd September 2017
The lodge was lovely, really well furnished and was very cosy. There were a few cobwebs found, and there wasn't a lot of storage space e.g. Only one cupboard in the kitchen to store food, and the wardrobe wasn't big enough for two people's clothes. Hot tub was a great added feature, but started to smell after day 4.
Stephen, Hailsham
Date of stay: 16th September 2017
Spacious, comfortable and clean accommodation. Heating was very good and needed due to the poor weather during our week in Devon.

If you want a quiet holiday to do lots of sightseeing, this is a good place to go.
Tony, Nottingham
Date of stay: 1st September 2017
Everything was fine except we were in a lodge next to a hedge which unfortunately was next to a road so we did hear the lorries etc occasional struggling up the hill.
We also had an issue with the controller for the DVD player. A new battery was required and we asked for this twice in 3 days via the reception and although we were told it would be replaced or a battery replaced nothing happened so my daughter who had took her DVD's purposely ended up not being able to watch them.
We also could have done with a basic guider on the heating system.
That apart a very nice location and a very nice lodge.
We would prefer to stay in a lodge that does not have a mild smell of a dog having been around although the lodge was spotlessly clean with all the utilities required.
Sue, Worcestershire
Date of stay: 28th August 2017
Only issue was the badly stained lounge carpet.
Elaine, Rugby
Date of stay: 26th August 2017
Great holiday fab location
Date of stay: 25th August 2017
Lovely accommodation and great views.
Julie, Rossendale Valley
Date of stay: 25th August 2017
The lodge was reasonably clean. (I am a perfectionist and used to be an Executive Housekeeper in 4 and 5 star hotels- I will always find something).
I thought the box left with some milk, tea, coffee, tea cloth and sponge was a really thoughtful idea.
The rooms were quite small for the beds but manageable for the time we were there.
Overall, a lovely lodge and would stay again.
Amanda, York
Date of stay: 25th August 2017
Lovely accommodation. Everything you could want. Washing machine broken when we arrived. Very well furnished. All equipment well thought about. Master bed too short for husband who isn't over tall 6'2". Not clean under beds. Nerf gun darts and socks left by previous holiday maker. Some paint work needed tending.
Ann, Bradford
Date of stay: 21st August 2017

Date of stay: 29th July 2017
I know that having a lodge compared to a caravan would be more expensive so you need to consider this when booking after all it's just like a chalet!

Apart from a few marks on the carpet, and the fact that shower unit had not been cleaned properly, we were pleased with the general layout and level of comfort that this home provided. We did experience a small problem with the keys and the smoke alarm, but this was rectified upon advice from a member of the staff.
Pretty good VFM!
Lynne, Wigan
Date of stay: 9th September 2016

Haven't stayed on a park for a very long time so was pleasantly
surprised by this spacious and well appointed the holiday home . Would definitely stay here again.
Andrea, Wirral
Date of stay: 2nd September 2016
Only reason doesn't get 10 is the advertised lodge on website depicts 2 good sized bedrooms and a master bedroom with tv & luxury open plan en-suite bathroom! The bedrooms were small, there was no tv in master & ensuite had a 'decent' sized shower but the location and views compensated and we were blessed with great weather to use the lovely decking area!
Michelle, Blackpool

Date of stay: 25th June 2016
To be perfectly honest the only problem we had was the bed!!! It was very low and, for me, being disabled was a bit of a chore getting in and out! Could have done with it being about a foot higher!
Susan, Gloucestershire
Date of stay: 24th June 2016
Couldn't fault a thing, brilliant week
Date of stay: 29th April 2016
A beautiful lodge, well decorated with all your home comforts. Unfortunately the lodge we stayed in was very close to reception so very over looked with no privacy. View from kitchen window was the bin area which was also a shame.

Wendy, Ascot
Date of stay: 19th October 2015
The only downside with the country 4 is that the table and chairs are very close to the wall and there's not much room to manouvre! That is the only downside though, and not a big enough issue to not consider returning!

Emma, Stratford Upon Avon
Date of stay: 4th September 2015
Inside the lodge was clean and tidy.
The decking could've done with a bit more cleaning, lots of spider webs and random bits of plastic tied to the side. View was great though.
Paula, Wolverhampton
Date of stay: 4th September 2015
The only thing I found wrong was the lodge was a little bit dusty and the outside needed a good wash other than that everything else was fine

will stay here again but in a different lodge (if possible). The site was clean and tidy and what setting we saw was lovely. The site seems to want the older person without too many children which makes it even better but for some people a costly stay.

Would have been perfect if they had made a token gesture as apology for no hot water
A, St Helens
Date of stay: 18th April 2015
Great site, only let down by the lack of a shop. To buy essential s you need to buy them from the pub, which only has normal pub opening hours. Everything else is excellent though. Would visit again.

Date of stay: 20th February 2015
The shower was lukewarm at best. I should have told the staff on site as they would have sorted it straight away but the water was hot for the dishes so i wrongly assumed it was what it was.

Jonathan, Torquay
Date of stay: 26th January 2015
Front door could have been more child safe as it was only a thumb wheel internally even a three year old could let themself out. A safety chain at a higher level could be an option.
Brendan, Tewkesbury
Date of stay: 3rd January 2015
Lodge was an absolute stunner, clean tidy, well laid out, we booked the six berth to give our teenagers a room each, and was delighted with the results...Already booked again for Easter
Lisa, Bath
Date of stay: 3rd January 2015
The accommodation was 100% luxury, all you could need or want. The furnishings were excellent and attention to detail fabulous. We had a hot tub in our decking which was just a perfect way to spend New Years. We are currently looking to come back in March, we all - including our 1 year old loved this place!!
Michael, Benidorm, Spain

Generally is this aspect very good. However, being located next to a main road made life awkward. Kids wakened up by traffic all night!!

Date of stay: 24th October 2014
Wow, what a beautiful holiday home. We opted for a timber clad mobile home thinking it would offer more insulation and warmth in late October. We were not disappointed. It felt like the most luxurious accommodation throughout. I liked the hospitality tray, the fact that the kitchen was so well equipped we could have created any meal with the choice of utensils and......................we even had a washer/ dryer. As there were only two of us we didn't create too much laundry but as this is a six berth, it would be a real bonus to a bigger family. The bath mat was a thoughtful addition and toilet rolls in both bathrooms. My husband would be happy to retire to a property like this!!!!
David, Gorleston On Sea

Date of stay: 30th August 2014
This park is most suited to couples or families with older children as there is no on site entertainment. The site its self is beautiful and the caravan was beautiful, clean and modern. The staff were all lovely.
Susan, Windsor
Date of stay: 30th August 2014
Really impressive site, very clean well equipped caravan. And wonderful views. The only negative I have is our caravan was backing on to the Totnes road and that itself was a very busy road night and day which to disturb my family during the night, I do feel that perhaps it should be mentioned when booking. But that was the only negative really was a beautiful site with stunning views.
Julie, Rochdale
Date of stay: 30th August 2014
If you want peace and quiet this is the place to go. Beautiful surroundings but you have the leisure center if you wanted to go swimming, the caravan was lovely and clean complimentary tea, sugar and milk was a bonus, beds made up ready. All we had to do was unpack cases, my only quibble was only a couple of hangers in wardrobe. Near to Asda, Morrison's, Sainsbury's KFC and McDonald's what else could you need. Will be going again next year and hopefully taking dog this time. Well worth a stay
Celine, Surrey
Date of stay: 25th August 2014
I thought that the caravan for a standard one was really well equiped and very clean and comfortable. I didnt like the holiday village but the caravan was the 1 thing i was very happy with.

Date of stay: 23rd August 2014
Overall holiday was good , the Blagdon Inn food was excellent , and the caravan was great , I think it would be good if the park had a pool with more activities for children .but overall a very nice park ...

Date of stay: 22nd August 2014
We had a lovely time at Devon Hills, it was a perfect location for our holiday. Didn't use the pub on site didn't feel it was suitable for children. Instead we went to a lovely 2 for 1 pub Parkers Arms which had a children menu and play area and was only a twenty minute walk away.
Vicky, Leicester
Date of stay: 22nd August 2014
I was amazed with the lodge. On thing I can say was there was a lot of bird mess on the deck think that should of been at least cleaned
Jeanette, Stanford Le Hope

Excellent accommodation.
Marilyn, Bideford
Date of stay: 16th August 2014
Very nice holiday - Fairly easy access into Paignton and other areas of Torbay for the Zoo and Supermarkets for shopping and other attractions and especially to other areas of South Devon but would recommend having a car as it is a 1.6 mile walk each way to the Zoo and nearest Supermarket - the Park is on a bus route. Relaxing Park to stay at.
Date of stay: 16th August 2014
Lovely caravan and surrounding area, the busy road behind us just spoilt it slightly. Would definitely book at Devon Hills again but would maybe ask for a different location on site. Perfectly situated for Paignton Zoo and plenty of supermarkets/takeaways nearby.
Julie, Stoke On Trent
Date of stay: 16th August 2014
Brilliant didn't want to come home.

Date of stay: 16th August 2014
Fabulous holiday park. Our only gripe was the noise from the road however we bought ear plugs and they worked!
Stuart, Halesowen
Date of stay: 15th August 2014
I could not fault the caravan, the site was immaculate but i would not say it was suitable for families with young children who would want to stay on the site for a day. Yes it has a pool but lacked free facilities for children and the climbing frames/play area was basic. It would be an ideal base to go and explore the sites and beaches of Torbay.
Georgina, Rugeley
Date of stay: 8th August 2014
The lodge was lovely ,clean, comfortable, and modern, nice to get a bath and a shower in a spacious bath room, car park space next to lodge, no complaints, you get what you pay for ,and this is well worth paying the extra ,,for cleanliness and comfort,
Michael, Cork Ireland

The site and it's facilities were very good especially the swimming pool. It's location made it very convenient for visiting local beaches and attractions such as Paignton, Torquay, Dartmouth, Totnes, Dartmouth, Babbacombe etc. We were also blessed with some superb hot weather. All in all we had a fantastic holiday. We will hopefully make a return visit to Devon Hills
Andrew, Whitefield

The only problem with the accommodation was that the toilet flush did not work at all times of the day/evening (water supply problem?).
Jayne, Walsall

There was damage to the hot tub lid which kept putting bits of polystyrene in the hot tub but this was our only niggle
Date of stay: 7th June 2014
Lovely lodge
Date of stay: 6th June 2014
The only negative of the entire holiday was the busy road outside the park with no where easy to cross for the buses - it was doable but could be improved
Christina, Cinderford, Gloucester
Date of stay: 6th June 2014
This was mine and my partners first proper holiday together. We had a fantastic time. I would definitely recommend Devon Hills Holiday Park, especially the little caravan we stayed in! We will hopefully be returning very soon and will definitely be hoping for the same caravan. Thank you Devon Hills Holiday Park, you were amazing!!

Date of stay: 18th April 2014
Bonus of course is the Hot Tub, but cannot fault the accomodation, clean tidy and more than enough room to fit 2 adults and 2 teenagers in. Lodge was ready early, and the fixtures and fittings worked well.
Sharon, Bridport
Date of stay: 18th April 2014
Absolutely super, really wasn't expecting this, the caravan had everything you needed or could have wanted.
Louise, Camborne
Date of stay: 14th April 2014
Very lovely caravan and site, only thing that let it down was position of caravan. We were in a row that backed onto a very busy road. Once you dropped down in the valley the noise greatly reduced. Would recommend that people are told about this.

Ruth, Bristol
Date of stay: 10th March 2014
I had far more in my accomodation than i was expecting which was great but would have been useful for me to have known this on booking so i needn't have brought so much with me. eg hairdryer, towels, bathrobe, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, washing liquid and cloths.
Date of stay: 3rd February 2014
Accommodation was excellent . There was evey thing you could need . Enjoyed our stay

Date of stay: 30th November 2013
The caravan was excellent very clean and surprisingly warm for the time of year.
The site was better than expected, exceedingly clean with enough facilities for us and the dogs but I think possibly not enough for families with young children
Loved every minute. Would definitely book again soon! Recommended 👍
Beautiful lodge in a great spot.. couldn't fault it.
A beautifully picturesque location with multiple on site facilities and within easy reach of the countryside, beach and local shops. Loved the hot tub, looking at the stars and melting cares away... Great dog walking areas specifically for purpose.
I have been to Devon Hills many times and it still is a place I return to every year.
Nice clean lodge and great country views . Was spacious inside the lodge .
Great park , nice lodge. Parking to far from the lodge. Helpful staff. Good value for money.
Fantastic holiday, beautiful lodge with all amenities and the hot tub was amazing
Fantastic lodge with all facilities you would need. Clean, spacious and perfect setting overlooking rolling hills.
Absolutely loved it here!! It was beautiful. Very friendly staff and very clean. The pub on site was very nice too which was an added bonus. Would highly recommend this site for a peaceful break in Devon.
