Beautiful lodge and surrounding setting. Hot tub is amazing after a day of walking and visiting surrounding areas. The lodge is amazing as a couple for time away. The only downside in my opinion is there is not a dishwasher.

Absolutely loved this lodge. We have been a few times to Crake Valley and it never disappoints. Its a lovely site, peaceful, well kept, comfortable and beautiful surroundings. The thoughtful additions when we arrived at the lodge, ie: hot beverages, shampoo&conditioner, oven gloves & dishwasher items were a lovely surprise. Thank you so much for such a fantastic weekend. We will be back again ????x

On the surface the lodge appeared to be everything we expected. However, on closer inspection we found many issues. Many of these issues were raised by previous occupants of The Cedars, yet, had not been rectified:Balcony, table and chairs were not prepared - we had to get cleaning ourselves, including sorting out the marked and greasy windows. The hairdryer in the main bedroom was faulty and cut out and it had no PAT test certificate. There were not 4 of each item in the crockery. The plates and bowls were not a set - just random plates.A broken wine glass was left in the cupboard and there was no set of 4. And not enough for 4 people. The gravel steps need maintenance as the steps, especially at the top, are dangerous and not fit for purpose. The string on the kitchen blind is broken. The upstairs sliding bedroom door does not lock. All these issues are maintenance issues - cleaning was spot on! We met no staff on our visit other than Pamela who came to bring us 2 loo rolls. Our exit and entrance to the lodge had to be via the gate at the back due to the dangerous front steps. This meant disturbing other hot tub users as we passed by - a little embarrassing. We would love to book again as we did have a super time, although we have reservations due to the neglect of the lodges. We feel that we only echo other guests whose complaints have fallen on deaf ears. There was one kind act by management when they brought us a fan due to the upstairs room being very hot. The fan, however, clanked as it spun and seemed dangerous. Get your act together guys - let maintenance be a top priority!

Lovely location in a beautiful setting, the arrival text message sent the day before gave everything you needed to know. Premises is perfectly appointed and was spotless. Only a couple of things - path needs sorting, its not good if unsteady on your feet as the shale path slippery, and moves under foot. A couple of low branches from the tree next to the building are rubbing on the roof, sounds like its gonna come through when the wind blowing. Overall perfect for a break and within a half hour drive of all the amenities the lakes have to offer

Well, well, well. What can I say, we stayed at the Acorn lodge in Crake Valley. Its secluded, a little further away from the main park. Which has it's own little private garden where the hot tub is.

The scenery from the hot tub was second to none, surrounded by nature and able to see the hills. To top it off it snowed Saturday night so Sunday in the Hot tub with the surrounding was magical.

The place has a lake and woods right next to it and is perfect for a walk to take your mind off things. Over all great experience. Really enjoyed it.

Would advise them to leave some mops for the bathrooms and living area as going in and out of the hot tub can makes the place quiete slippy. Seriously was considering buying this place.

Very basic holiday park, picnic area but no other additional facilities. This is absolutely fine with us as we were out and about all day exploring the beautiful Lake District. Lodge was clean and well equipped. Bed was comfy and so was the recliner sofa. TV with freesat and dvd player made for nice relaxing evenings, we took a couple of our own dvds to watch, there were no dvds provided. Location was quiet and a good central location to drive to lots of towns, villages and other attractions. We loved the carved pumpkins outside each lodge and around the park (it was end of October/Halloween), nice little touch.
