Located in an idyllic spot surrounded by glorious Ayrshire countryside, these country style lodges will appeal to many.  The 25 acres of well kept grounds will provide a lovely setting for your holiday as well as plenty of amenities right on the doorstep including a first class leisure complex.

The wonders of southwest Scotland just wait to be explored from countryside to coastline. Think clifftop walks and strolls in the Galloway Forest Park.  Further afield there are the Highlands with spectacular scenery.

If you choose to stay on the park itself you will have plenty of options.  The leisure complex is superb with indoor pool, sauna and gym.  You can be as active or relaxed as you choose.  For little ones there is a children's adventure playground and golfers will love the 9 hole putting green.

Accommodation at Brunston Castle Resort is a selection of spacious lodges.  The Turnberry Lodge is a two storey lodge sleeping 6 with 3 bedrooms and patio doors leading to an outside terrace. Excellent accommodation spoiled only by 2 things. Lack of lighting other than overhead light in living room and cheap and nasty wardrobe doors in double bedroom.

Date of stay: 14th August 2017
Fantastic location, I would definitely recommend it to the people I like and would holiday there again. The only downside was the accommodation had a horrible smell we had to purchase some airfreshners and constantly open the windows and spray the rooms to get rid of the smell. Also some of the cutlery was dirty and the pillows were almost paper thin.

However all in all the accommodation had everything you need even things I didn't think of where there. The heating worked well which helped create a cozy environment. All of the rooms were spacious enough. It was a lovely home away from home.

It was the high standard expected; great service from staff at park. 6 of us stayed at the Turnerry 4 and we managed to have meals on the balcony and plenty space for the children to run around and burn off energy.

Date of stay: 14th July 2017
Very clean and modern lodge. The only suggestion I would make is that the dishwasher is a bit superfluous since there was only one place setting per person which would have meant using it after every meal.

Brunston Castle resort is located in a very rural place where the car is a must if you want to visit surrounding area -everything is at least 20 minutes far away. We planned beforehand where to go and what to visit and we weren't disappointed ...there were plenty of places to visit around. However, we also found plenty of leaflets about the local area to choose from at the reception area. The girls at the reception were also helpful and knowledgeable by pointed out a few walking paths around the area.

We booked a 7 night holidays at Brunston. The lodge we stayed in was clean, modern and with enough appliances/furniture to have a comfortable stay. Definitely, we all were well made up with the lodge and exceeded our expectations!

My son made good use of the indoors pool which was a bit small but never felt overcrowded and the good thing is that it was opened for long hours.

An overall we had a wonderful time!!

The lodge was well equipped although we found the dishwasher was pointless due to the time it takes to do a cycle and the fact that your suppose to fill it up we did have or need this amount of pottery or utensils.the beds were so comfy and there was plenty of room for everyone and everything.

Lodge was brilliant and so were the staff. The swimming pool was very clean and so were the rest of the facilities. Lovely and quiet resort.

Golf club within walking distance - great breakfasts and evening meals, again with fab views.

Not a lot else going on the area, but we had the car and got out and about - saw some amazing places along the Ayrshire coast.

Date of stay: 13th April 2015
Family of 5, the lodges were great quality, with enough space for us and the kids, cooking facilities were adequate. Swimming pool was fine and was quiet when we visited. A car is essential as the lodges are quite a bit away from any major towns. Staff were helpful and provided the correct information when asked.

Child ages 14, 10 and 5.
Martin, Glasgow
Date of stay: 13th April 2015
Great park with warm friendly staff.
Aelly, Yorkshire
Date of stay: 20th February 2015
We arrived quite late to a warm spotlessly clean bungalow. 3 of us in a 3 bed, meant we had lots of space. I think that if you were a party of six , though that having just 6 of everything - crockery cutlery etc. would make food preparation tricky. The furnishing are looking a little tired, and blackout linings would be good on the curtains when you update the property. We had a lovely time- there's lots to see and do- we loved Arran and the Robbie Burns museum and would go back again.
Victoria, Barrow In Furness
Date of stay: 20th February 2015
A hidden gem of a place. The only improvement would be the pool , the water needs cleaning more often. By the end of the week the water had bits and hair floating in it.
James, Sheffield
Date of stay: 7th December 2014
Cottages well placed and furnished to a good standard. One small issue only one key and fob for unlocking barrier so if you do something separately as a group you have to leave keys in reception which closes at 2130. Not a big problem though.
Nicola, Edinburgh
Date of stay: 18th October 2014
Needs a few cosmetics done and thought it could do with more dishes / cutlery with having a dishwasher.
Mike, Kirkcaldy
Date of stay: 17th October 2014
Our lodge looks like it had had a make over and was in excellent condition. The welcome pack that contained coffee, tea, sugar right through to cleaning products was an excellent addition to an already top facility. Id highly recommend the lodges to anyone. Bedrooms and lounge were comfortable and there's nothing id add to make it any better.

Loved our wkend at Brunston the lodge was beautiful and everything u need was there a right home from home
Lovely lodges and park
Booked this to stay over for a wedding. Beautiful countryside. Accommodation and facilities also excellent. Brunston Castle Golf course is walking distance was very good and does meals for the Resort residents.
Lovely quiet oasis.
Beautiful location, Stunning Lodge and relaxing stay!
Fabulous location, well organised reception and helpful staff. Lodges were well equipped and clean, a really enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it.
We rented one of the refurb hot tub chalets, they were done out to a very high standard using quality fittings throughout. The site was lovely and clean and quite quiet the only gripe i had was that the hot tub was still cold and couldn't use it till the second day of our stay. All in all it was very good and would certainly go back again.
First Time there, great place will be going back, villa was clean tidy, got asda to deliver the groceries no problems getting in and out, pool was clean and quiet and sitting in the lounge was great after a swim, went to the golf club for dinner and the food was great and reasonably priced. pleasant to area to go walking.
Excellent place should have been informed that the golf club facilities was not open ie club house but allowed own wine in coffee house which was very relaxing
We had a lovely holiday here. The newly refurbished reception building was lovely. The kids enjoyed the pool and the grown ups made use of the coffee shop.
Really good value for money accommodation. Lovely spacious lodge and very clean. The facilities are good (9pm close is perhaps a little too early in my opinion), no alcohol served in the Bar/Lounge but you are able to take your own and glasses were provided. Overall, all the people in my party were really happy with the stay. Good location to take in plenty of golf courses. (inc Trump Turnberry). We were a group of 8 people and did struggle with transport at first as the taxi firms offered by reception could not accommodate us for any trips. We discovered a minibus driver (Paul Ellis Minibus Hire) based in the nearby Girvan who we utilised for the entire stay and I cannot recommend Paul enough. Always on time and good prices. Pauls service was not recommended to us by reception although as we discovered after that they had his business cards behind the counter, We found him from a Girvan resident.
Great for a quiet quick getaway. Lovely area. Not much to do but chill. Staff tried very hard to make your stay a happy one. Thank you.

Fun Days Out near Brunston

about 27 Miles
The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show.  This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.
about 34 Miles

An outdoor activity center suitable for families. Featuring one of Europe's longest zip wires, jeep driving, grass sledging, archery, outdoor scooters. A mix of fun and adreneline rides and a lot more.

about 39 Miles
We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.
