The caravan was horrible full of animals hair.. our kids constantly had hair in them mouth, hands etc.. we had two tiny pods to cook which was incredibly hard for family of 5!!! Even there was no pan for frying eggwe needed to ask for hover as there wasn't even tiny brush to brush a floor.. the heater was broke we called for help.. one man said tomorrow someone will fixed but of course nobody turn up until we left.. the fridge was full of water so all food get wetthe sofas was full of stains we need it to cover with blankets as was disgusting to sit on!!!honestly nightmare! Plus every single attraction was closed!!! No soft play ,no golf, no amusement park!! Nothing! Just swimming pool was open but even with that was problem as in the beginning they gave us leaflets with opening time

got there late, no tea coffee or milk, dirty mugs, no washing up liquid or towel. Really these things cost nothing! Also would be good to know shop times and locations, found shop but it closed at 8pm it was 8 and the shop guy just turned the lights out.

We went as a Family, just Myself & my 3 Children, Daughter who is 28 Weeks Pregnant & Twin Sons, One lives in Derby, so we met him half way. Had a lovely stay in The Holiday Village Caravan, Number 28. It was a lovely Caravan, airy & spacious with a Veranda made it better, as we got to see the Canal Boats going past. My Son even helped a Couple with the Canal Bridges, save the Lady going back & forth across the Bridge, he enjoyed that. Entertainment was mainly on at Weekends & School Holidays but we did manage to play Crazy Golf on Shark Island, Operator told us to play again as not busy, so we did. Had dinner at The Quays whilst watching Football, good night out. Children even went swimming for free due to us being in a Gold Caravan, they enjoyed it.

Our GOLD caravan was practically brand new and clean. The shower was lovely and a large living space but bedrooms were very small. We had two children (ages 2 and 4) the single beds were very narrow and we had to push together and there were wardrobes which started at head height (overhanging the beds) which made it a little worrying for children bumping their heads. Only other thing to improvement I can suggest is an electric kettle rather than a whistling one which woke the kids up!

only two of the gas rings on cooker worked but as we only cooked on it once , we made do with what we had , the frying pan was old and didnt sit straight which was a pest, when trying to cook breakfast, but these were minor things and didnt spoil our holiday.

Fantastic caravan. Clean, tidy, well presented and had all we needed. It was comfortable both in the bedrooms and living area. The grill pan was missing get a grill handle but that was sorted by the house cleaning get team who helpfully sourced one within 5 mins of me informing them it was missing. The little welcome package of tea, coffee, washinget up liquid etc was a lovely welcome touch and although I don't go on holiday to clean, having a hoover available in terms caravan was a God send for grass and such like. Very comfortable stay thank you.

Stayed in silver accommodation as had a dog with us. The caravan was excellent. It only needed a baking tray and a grill pan that fit in the grill better but we managed to improvise.

I would prefer if the accommodation was reserved for couples and family only. Not for workmen or same sex groups.

The accommodation and site were very clean. The facilities were good and prices were competitive. Plenty of grassed areas and play parks for children. My grandchildren loved the pool, the fair and the ducks. Would definitely go again for a short break.

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the park for families, especially with small children. Charlotte who workss with the children is a great member of staff and a credit to you.

Very good if a fisherman. Can easily get lost. Play area's for children far from the hire vans. Cooking equipment could do with looking into. No fish slice & only one small roasting tin. No rubbish bin in kitchen or bathroom. Not advised of bringing toilet rolls or that on arrival a deposit of £40.00 is charged. When on a tight budget, this is why people hire vans, the deposit eats into the spending money budgeted for.

The accommodation was really clean and well designed for a family, we had rain most of the week but the caravan kept warm with the heating on. The staff were always really polite and always helpful. I feel that the park is in some ways is more designed for permanent residence instead of visitors as a lot of the attractions such as the fun fair, crazy golf and go karts didn't open til 11am meaning that on the few sunny days we had half the day was wasted before we could do anything with the children. Accept from swimming but with everyone else being in the same position it meant it was full so we would have to wait. Loved the amount of wildlife we saw just from going for a walk.

There were some small black ants in the caravan - need to spray for ants

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!
Emma
Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!
Phoebe
Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank Read moreyou! Hide
