Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay - lovely memories celebrating our son's birthday while here. Local amenities. There's a lovely little shop at the entrance to the Holiday Park - staff are friendly and prices very reasonable. On site park seems fairly new, large and lots of lovely fresh bark on the ground surface. Pool, arcades and restaurant / entertainment so always something to do.
Would love to return in the summer and spend more time outdoors if warmer as a beautiful location. Very recommended.

Date of stay: 15th October 2018
The caravan was clean, warm (even during a very cold and wet day), and comfy.
Unfortunately the bedsheet and duvet on the double bed were not the right size but this is the only small compliant of our stay.

Date of stay: 11th August 2018
A stand-alone airier would have been useful and some scissors in the kitchen.

The caravan was clean overall although we did find some mouldy towels in the back of the kitchen cupboard.

Nice to have a picnic table outside.
Linda, Shotts
Date of stay: 6th August 2018
The bar situation spoiled the holiday for the whole family. The lodge itself was amazing and the walks were great but again the bar situation ruined it so much so we won't be back.

Not a handy location down a steep hill for older member of family.
Great Park would recommend it to family
Had a wonderful time very friendly staff, very clean lodge ,beautiful walks and the park is kept very clean. Just stayed for the weekend but definitely be booking again and hopefully we can stay longer so we can enjoy the park some more
We had a fantastic time at Thurston Manor.Staff friendly and helpful.facilities are good and lovely location.
It was a great holiday, wonderful lodge, great facilities and staff courteous and helpful. It was a great idea to have adult swimming only in the evening as the pool is quite small. Changes I would suggest is a later checkout. I think 10am is not a sociable time to have to leave considering you only get in at 4pm the day you arrive. So in essence you are paying for days that you are not getting the benefit of. Another suggestion is to have a pool table away from the children's noisy slot machines as adults may want to play.
Thurston Manor is a great site not far from Edinburgh. The facilities on site were clean and in good condition. The staff in all areas were helpful and knowledgeable. There were only a handful of children on site when we went but the entertainment was on with as much enthusiasm as if there were 200 children.
Excellent service. We were snowed in in February the staff were excellent they gave us the Friday for no extra charge as we couldn't get home due to the snow and the motorway been closed .Food at the pub on site was good at a good price .We definitely would return to this site everyone who works there are so friendly and helpful .
Accommodation was fresh and spotlessly clean. Bed linen and towels were provided as were bin bags. The site itself was quiet during our stay. We only used the swimming facilities so can't comment on the restaurant and bar but we were more than happy with the small pool. Staff on site were friendly and very helpful. Only downside was the lack of dog walking areas on site although this wasn't a problem as there were plenty dog walking areas that were easily reached by car.
Our caravan was fully furnished, amazing location, and everyone there was very nice. Only complaint was that the restaurant on the location had weird hours. Breakfast was supposed to served but they weren't opened the morning we tried to go.
