We booked as a group of 4 and had the worse experience. On our first when used the bathroom which was around 10pm I got stuck in the en-suite bathroom as the lock wouldnt turn properly. We called the site number in the welcome pack only to be told I dont know what you want me to dot at this time of the night, I dont have anyone on siteI can understand that the situation was unfortunate but I was starting to have a panic attack at the thought of being stuck in there all night and when asked if she expected me to spend the night in a bathroom she could only answer with I dont know what I can do. We pressed her more to find a resolution so she said she would try and call someone. In the meantime, we tried to see if I could possibly climb out of the bathroom window but it was just too small so we called back many times to the site number for an update only to realise she had switched the phone off and we no longer had any contact with her. Fortunately after sometime I managed to unlock the door and we did message back as a courtesy but quite frankly we were disgusted with the lack of empathy for the situation, the total lack of communication and want to know why its deemed appropriate to turn off what should be an emergency contact because you just dont know what to do? No message was passed on to the lady at reception next day either, no one checked on us to see if I was ok?After speaking to a weekend who passed my details to a manager and we received a call from the owner directly who was rude and provided no apology. While speaking on the phone to us he did not seem that bothered and was rude when trying to speak to him he decided to hang up on us. We never heard anything back from him.

Clean lodge and very well equipped.

Lovely welcome, heating had been put on ready for our arrival, hot tub was steaming hot so we could use straight away, tranquil setting over looking the river.Great location for some R&R

The holiday was beautiful needed a break and this place was the perfect spot. I would highly recommend. The children loved it as well.

The lodge is really comfortable - well laid out and open planned. The hot tub was lovely and hot (although not ready the first night) and is completely surrounded and so private. The grounds are very peaceful and well laid out. The check in/out times were slightly disappointing: we couldn't check in until 5pm and had to be out by 9am. Also the taking of a £150 security deposit is unnerving especially as we noticed damage already there (we did inform staff who made a note of what we had found).

Great location, well equipped clean chalet with hot tub. Welcome pack. Would be happy to return. A couple of minor issues but generally all OK.

The lodge was better than expected, the pictures dont do this justice. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The lodges cleanliness was better than expected, everything we could need and more. The welcome pack had everything we could need to know and more.

Excellent great value will definitely stay again. Highly recommended

Had a lovely 2 night stay here had all the facilities we needed was impressed with the fact they had the full sky tv package in living room and bedroom for when we was relaxing before bed. My only criticism of the place is that you cant check in till 5pm and then have to be gone at 9am of day of leaving which made are stay extremely short and on first evening the hot tub wasnt very warm.

Overall the lodge us nice and comfortable however the mattresses on the beds could really do with being replaced as they were so uncomfortable with the main double having a big 'dip' in the middle and 2 of the single beds being really uncomfortable where you could feel the springs, the other 2 singles were OK though, could also do with a couple more oven trays in the kitchen.

Enjoyed the weekend break in the lodge. The hot tub is a nice extra.

First off we would definitely visit again, but only if certain improvements were made. I have tried to list the positives and negatives below. Negatives: By far the biggest issue is the decking. I actually went through it next to the hot tub whilst in my swimshorts and nearly injured myself. The positive side was that after reporting it the onsite maintenance team who were very friendly came and made it safe straight away. Unfortunately the whole decking is in a bit of a sorry state and needs replacing. There were several unsafe areas that looked like they might collapse or could catch your feet because planks were raised. Other issues were that one of the sofas was completely knackered, the springs had gone so it was like sitting on the floor, and then the general fittings in the place needed a bit of a do over (the blind in one of the bathrooms for example was hanging off the wall and couldnt be adjusted up or down). Apart from the decking I would say they are all minor things though.Positives:The staff all seemed very friendly and the location is great, the views over the lake at the back were excellent. Its a relatively dark skies area so good for star gazing if you get a clear night. The hot tub was nice and toasty and cleaned daily, although a net to get rid of small bits of twig etc would have been nice. It wasn't warm until the following day after arrival and was emptied at about 8am on the day we left, so thats something to consider if on short stays. We stayed when it was freezing temperatures outside but the heating in the place was more than sufficient and kept us warm all week.

Highly recommend. Fantastic lodge, spacious, clean and very comfortable beds. Outstanding views, lovely and quiet, perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Only criticism would be the outside light didnt stay on long so if your having a long soak in the hot tub be prepared to do it via moonlight which also was very lovely. Monica at the spa was also amazing, definitely book in for a treatment! Will 100% return.

Beautiful, clean well equipped cabin. Bath was big and spacious, rainfall shower was lovely and nice to get a selection of towels and robes.

Nice location and big lodge, pretty clean. Really rude receptionist on arrival, £150 deposit HAD to be made by physical card (wont accept contactless) and then the pending transaction didnt drop off my account for 6 days. TV didnt work on arrival, wrong instructions for thermostat in info pack, hot tub emptied at 8.10am on the morning we left meaning we couldnt use it on our last day.

We had booked to stay in a three-bedroomed lodge, but when we arrived, we were given a two-bedroomed lodge which we wasnt told about. We were then given a three-bedroomed lodge which wasnt ready. The TVs and washing machine didnt work. The floor tiles were loose and the sofas were extremely worn. Having initially been told we couldnt stay in the lodge we should have been in, we were then moved into it. This wasnt much better. The patio doors wouldnt close properly, the TV didnt work and the lodge itself was fairly rundown. Not Deluxe as it should have been! The whole park was very rundown and not as it looks on the Hoseasons website. It was definitely not up to the standard it should have been. We spent two days on the phone to Hoseasons which resulted in some money back by way of compensation. We were extremely disappointed with this holiday and would definitely not recommend staying at this holiday park.

The state and cleanliness of the lodge was absolutely diabolical! There was dust everywhere, it looked like it hasnt had a proper clean for weeks. Spiders were everywhere, there was a squished spider on the bedroom wall that looked like it had been there for days prior to us checking in. The sofa was falling apart with holes everywhere and the curtains had huge rips in the lining. The wall paper was coming off the wall. There was an also huge dead moth behind the toaster on the kitchen work top when we checked in. The mattress in the master bedroom was so very thin and uncomfortable. The whole place felt so dirty. Complained to Stephanie the Manager who said we have two options, check out now or stay and well fix it. We couldnt check out as we had activities booked so we decided to stay. Yet even though we decided to stay nothing was fixed. Utterly disappointed and still cannot believe how rude Stephanie was in the whole process. If youre ever thinking about booking into this lodge just dont bother!

Sofas are bit worn beds very hard I need of mattress toppers stayed for 8nights very hard to sleep all rooms were the same dripping tap over bath very sticky decking due to overhanging trees Hottub covers bye overhanging tree stayed in this lodge when new definitely needs re vamping but would definitely use other deluxe lodges stayed many times and love it

Holiday location great but lodge was poor did report issues but was apparently repair but still kept going wrong.

We had the most amazing 4 nights. Ive never been on a lodge break before but i am sold, we had such a fab time. With a young child going away can be a stress but this lodge has EVERYTHING you need! It is like being at home away from home its just perfect. The price was very reasonable for everything you have. The whole lodge was spotless upon arrival and it was also really peaceful. We barely heard any noise from other lodges even though they are quite close together which was ideal.

Fixtures and furniture not maintained to a very high standard. Bed very uncomfortable.

Beds very comfortable and the place was spotless on arrival and had a lovely vibe. The only slightly negative was the sofas could do with replacing or having new foam in the seat cushions, but not a big deal and everything looked good.

Would recommend to everyone to try the experience

The comfiest bed I have ever slept in!!
